  • MMA H.E.A.T.'s Karyn Bryant sits down with former UFC Light Heavyweight Champ Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and hears what he has to say about his fight with Glover Teixeira, which took place three days earlier at the UFC on FOX 6 event on January 26th, 2013. Rampage didn't have the chance to do a post-fight interview on the broadcast, so he takes this opportunity to speak to his fans after what may have been his last fight inside the UFC's octagon. Rampage lets us know why he wants to leave the organization, what he'd like to do if he does depart and what some of his highlight moments were while he fought for the UFC. He also gives his thoughts on Glover Teixeira, his career in movies, his evolution as a fighter, his affinity for female reporters and his distaste for certain Jiu Jitsu positions.

And if you look at some of his loses, the Rashad fight could have been closer if he didn't do the movie and the Bader fight? I think Rampage didn't have to fight in Japan with the bad knee, but he took the fight and did it anyways, to put on a show for the Japanese fans. Not a lot of guys would do that. Much respect for Rampage.

Rampage is the best of the best, this man has nothing to prove in the UFC or MMA period. He's fought in PRIDE against warriors, he has fought many wars as he said. The UFC isn't the place for him anymore, he can whoop ass somewhere else and get treated like the fighter/person that he is. Rampage has made a name for himself in the MMA world, he dominated in the UFC and he has whooped all over the globe. My respect for him is ridiculous

Rampage's boxing looked great in this fight, he's never thrown combinations like that before from what I've watched. They weren't just single power shots these were multi punch combinations. I don't think he should go into boxing, I think he should try another organization but more importantly... evolve if he wants to stay current. (just my opinion)

Correlation doesn't imply causation. Just cause GSP doesn't finish doesn't mean he doesn't want to. He has a different skill set then Wandy and Rampage. Wandy and Rampage will be remembered as great exciting fighters. GSP will be remembered as the greatest welterweight that's ever lived.

This was the most serious I've ever seen Rampage. The guy is the truth. Most of the people that make stupid comments about Rampage probably do not know anything about him, or they just decide to remain clueless. It's guys like him, Tito Ortiz, BJ Penn, and Randy Couture who are willing to stand up for what they believe and be outcasted are the ones that pave the way for other people.

Rampage isn't one dimensional ....he just forgot his wrestling base and left it at the waist side. If he left that dam Wolf's Lair he might get back to basics and start on his winning ways again. You're right. He's not the only person who's not happy w/ their job. But at the same time he's not the only person who's expressed disapointment. However, Rampage did something that most who complain fail to do. He left his job & decided to start over. That's something worth respecting. If you aren't happy w/ your situation & its something you can control change it. If reporters are interviewing him asking him questions what should he then say? He's not being a pussy. They asked so he answered.
