  • This is our trip to Ensenada Mexico to watch the Baja 1000. The race its self is an incredible adventure but for us the race was a small part of our adventure. To get from British Columbia, Canada we drove, shuttled, flew, taxi, walked and then bussed. Walking through Tijuana at night was an experience all on its own. Once in Ensenada the fear continued when we found out that our room had been double booked, leaving us on the street. A couple hours of messing around and we had it figured out. The days leading up to the race were filled with relaxing moments on the beach and beautiful moments exploring the city, as well as many many moments drinking servesas. After the action packed Baja 1000 was over, we spent our days exploring the countryside on an awesome rented scooter. We saw hot springs on the beach and blowholes blasting out sea water. All in all it was a wonderful vacation and i hardly even got a sun burn.

Hey not sure if you know but I thought I'd tell ya Dana Brown the filmmaker is making another Dust 2 Glory Baja documentary and put out a open request for footage of the race (source social media I think it was SCORE) . I'm not sure if they are looking for shots like yours or your adventure but it might be worth looking into for ya.
I'm a fellow Canadian and I went down with a Trophy Truck team in 2009 I've been dying to get back. If you like Racing check out the Mint 400 one year they have decent areas to spectate from and you get to see them go by more than once.
Great videos I enjoy watching your adventures keep up the good work

They are a blast I have been the co-pilot for last few years and it's a rush every time. There is two Canadian teams that run Best In The Desert racing Sproule Racing (team I am with) and Graf Racing who are a great bunch of guys as well. If you make it down to a race just look for the Canadian Flags and go say hi. It's always cool to see Canadians interested in desert racing
