It certainly was! I am so excited to have this pecan in my wood yard. I hope to split some of it today. Then I can check the moisture content and determine how long it will take to season as I have never dealt with this species before!

Hi Ken. Time flies by so fast. It’s hard to watch all videos. You came across a heck of a find. So Ken you cut your smoker wood at 14 inch. Don’t you have customers that want 6-8 inch pieces. You do an awesome job trying to get smoker wood of so many varieties. Great video. Take care. Al

Thanks 👍 Al! Yes, I cut wood to accommodate the customer needs. I make 5” mini splits for tabletop stoves, 8-10” for custom smokers, 14” for box store offset smokers, 16” to 24” firepit and fireplace wood…!
