@@gftyhify I wish she was reprising it, her voice has not changed. She proved she could do Ginger’s voice.
@@muttstersmart in fact quite a few characters will have different voices in the sequel. Rocky, Nick, Fetcher and Fowler will all have new voice actors. Although I don’t think anyone would want Mel Gibson back given his reputation in recent years. Also Fowler’s original voice actor is dead so he recast can’t be helped
@@gftyhify yes I think Mel Gibson not being asked to come back was an obvious but Julia Sawalha was a total surprise. I don’t know about Nick and Fletcher but Fowler was no surprise really. The actor did a brilliant portrayal of Fowler and I’m sure he would want what’s best for the sequel, so him being recast isn’t that bad, especially since it’s David Bradley replacing him. But I don’t think the cast could have even expected Julia be replaced, it’s disgusting. I know some of the other original cast such as Imelda Staunton and Lynn Ferguson will be returning, but I feel as though Julia’s voice is essential for Chicken Run. It’s not an easy voice to imitate, and I’ve seen the trailer. The new voice sounds nothing like original Ginger.
@@muttstersmart also Miranda Richardson as Mrs Tweedy will be back. I must say I wasn’t expecting that. I though she would’ve been killed when Mr Tweedy pushed the barn door down on her at the end of the original
