Yes! I worked at Starbucks and this is how I got a job there. I actually went in, asked to speak to the manager, and they liked me so much that even though they weren’t hiring, they called the location down the street that was and I got interviewed that same day and hired💗

This is so helpful! I’m going in tomorrow to introduce myself to the manager. I didn’t make any calls prior but I had a friend that works there who referred me. They said that I should come in and introduce myself and they send me the manager’s schedule. I’m excited and nervous but you definitely help me mentally prepare myself! Wish me luck! 😊✨

I think the introduction went well, but sadly they weren’t hiring at the moment. The manager said they would call if there’s an opening! But honestly I’m glad I got over my fear and social anxiety! It’s a win for me! Also thank you for the video!! Super helpful to format a introduction!

i’m never good with interviews and this was my first interview in almost 7 years. i wanted a second job for extra income so i picked starbucks. the interview was pretty easy. just gotta research the company prior to let them know you know starbucks is more then just coffee. my interviewer only asked me about 5 questions. it was pretty easy & quick and i have no experience. my main job is working at an animal clinic lol. i already had my interview about 2 weeks ago and landed the job 😊. just happen to stubble on your video. i only applied to the 1 starbucks i got hired at. wasn’t looking for it to stick tbh but it did. i didn’t follow up after my application was submitted. they ended up calling me to set it up but i definitely was following up with them after the interview.

i've applied to 5 stores, called 2 so far and they both said they're not hiring even though there's an ad on both indeed and the starbucks website??? what the heck is the deaaaal?!

Applied online at Starbucks and waited a week with no answer. Saw this video so I called and told them that I have already applied online and I wanted to make sure that they were hiring. They said yes and asked for my information and told me that the hiring manager would be in contact with me. Hopefully I will get the job, Thank you!

@@sampadabaral3918 I waited for the hiring manager to contact me but they didn't so I called back again. They said the hiring manager went on vacation the day that I first called. They told me to call back on Monday when they come back. Hopefully the manager will be there! I'm pretty sure I will at least get an interview because they are looking for 2 baristas.

I applied to three stores, I called multiple times to two stores because my friend works at Starbucks and she told me to do this. The third store I didn't call because I had applied a Friday and I was waiting to call on Monday if I didn't hear anything, on Saturday they called me and scheduled me for an interview this upcoming Friday so I am glad I found your videos. I want to get this job because im a student and im struggling in this economyyyy

this literally happened to me too except i was only focusing on one store i called plenty of times until she just said to come in and ask on a day the hiring manager is in
I literally called the Starbucks right before I watched this video.. but didn’t ask what times they were available to come in to introduce myself. If only I had see this video thirty minutes prior 😭 still hoping for the best though!! Would it be smart for me to still come in and introduce myself even if I didn’t say it in the call?
I would say yes bc them seeing you physically will show them u are putting effort. 1st impressions do count so dress to impress! Good luck!

I used to work at Starbucks as a barista and I agree with your video on this topic. I grew up in the northern suburbs of Winnetka IL where the Home Alone House is located. I could tell that you're a Midwestern of Illinois like me.

I called the store and the manager answered and he told me that the people in charge of the applications are recruiters and that they don’t work in stores so the best option is to just wait to get a call:(

I'm applying to a few Starbucks mainly because I can only work part time and desperately need medical Insurance! When I go for the Interview should I mention that I'm looking for insurance? I ask because I'm afraid if I don't and they only offer me enough hours UNDER the 20 you need to qualify for it I'll be wasting my time..but I also don't want to look bad for putting it out there that this is important for me to work there
I would recommend not mentioning that you’re just looking for insurance, I don’t think that would look good (imo). What you can communicate on is that you’re looking for *at minimum of 20 hours* but ideally 30 (or whatever amount you’re looking for). They don’t need to know the reason you want over 20 hours :)
How do I follow “hi I wanted to come by and introduce myself. I’m so and so, I’m very interested in the barista position. I have a live for coffee….” What do I say after “I have a love for coffee without ending it weirdly lol

Just as I finished watching your video I received an email asking if I am still interested in working for Starbucks! The manager also asked 3 questions and I followed your steps. Sent that email in and hopefully I hear from them soon. Thank you for the advice!

Hi okay so I applied to one of the starbucks getting an email saying how they want to recruit me and asking if I am still wanting the job position. I replied saying yes, telling abit about myself and my avalibility (as the email asked for it). How long should I wait for a response for, and what are things I should do If I do not get a response.

So I handed in my resume and I called them but the person who answered didn’t give the phone to the manager and said you have to apply online. I told her I already did and she said “yeah it takes a bit so you’ll have to wait it out” what should I do??
That’s very unprofessional on her part. Call back and ask to speak to the hiring manager once again, hopefully you’ll get someone different who answers the phone but if not, if she says that again, just reply with “I would prefer to not wait it out and be proactive in introducing myself to your manager. If you’re unwilling to hand the phone off, I’m happy to drop in in person to introduce myself that way.”
If it’s still an issue after that, perhaps this isn’t the location for you… but don’t go down without a fight! She doesn’t make the final hiring decisions. The manager does. Lmk how it goes :)

They were very nice and told me she was not here and to apply online, and I said I replied saying I did it online and I perfer to introduce myself in person. They asked for my contact information, noted it down, and said they will make sure to inform them. I've wanted to work a starbucks for so long so I am happy I am building progress. Thanks so much for helping me build courage to call them back

I am interested in working at Starbucks as a part time barista but I already have a part time job in a bar and restaurant as a kitchen cook. Can I still work at Starbucks at the same time as my restaurant job as a kitchen cook?

yes of course! you would just communicate with them what your availability is. and if you work on/near a college campus, they’ll definitely understand :)

Hi! Does the phone call have to be with the hiring manager? What if the employee say "can I take a message"?

it’s usually good when you do. i honestly forgot to print an extra to bring for the interview but she didn’t ask me for it.

@@bobasaur34 you do not need to make an separate one. If you have past barista experience definitely add that to your current resume. Make sure your past job experiences is on there as well if any. If not volunteer work and other things is fine.

Typically your interviewer will have a printed copy of your resume already prepared prior to meeting with you! It's never bad to bring one with, but it may not be necessary. Do what feels right for you! :)

I’m gonna tell you what i did i haven’t got the job yet but i basically applied on the website. Like a day or 2 later i called the starbucks i wanted to work at, i ask them about the status of my application the shift lead i was talking to said that they would put my name down so they put my name down and then i ask when the hiring manager would be in. I then go in physically into the store to ask them about my status of my application and then asked if i could speak to the hiring manager. The person told me that he’s not able to right now but then he asks what my name is and he pulled out a binder and my name was already down from prior calls. Sorry you had to read all this but this is my current situation idk if i should keep calling or what but hopefully something will happen

Hey there! I found your channel by looking up info regarding Starbucks and here we are! Question. I applied to Starbucks earlier this year, landed an interview but then I got crickets after the hiring manager sent a thank you email. I was really hoping they'd hire me. I got interviewed Friday and I thought it went really well, she told me that I would hear back by Monday but I haven’t and it’s the end of Tuesday… Is this normal?
I would follow up tomorrow or Thursday morning! Totally normal, people get busy and forget. A polite reminder is never a negative :)

this is why you prepare, bestie! it seems like this is bringing a bit of anxiety for you. so before you call, just make sure you prepare a lil bit about interview answers. stefania has a few videos on typical interview q's from starbucks. that way if they suddenly interview you on the day, you're prepared.
