In this video, we look at how the waste produced by human activity is polluting water, the air and land and how this is reducing biodiversity.

lol soooo true
My biology class and I have named this man Gareth. Gareth has saved my ass in so many biology exams that it now only releases praise for him and his videos. God save Gareth, architect of free science videos.
Thanks. But I'm actually called Shaun.
@@Freesciencelessons I don't believe that. I think that your name is Gareth please do not lie.
Mounir Mechkour Why would he lie about his own name...?
@@mounirmechkour1579 stfu dont disrespect our king 👑
@@hsudhhgfhshbdbxhd2982 Im pretty sure it was a joke lol.
I guess it gives a new meaning to “shit happens”
Weekly bird shit wow
Thank you so much, without you I wouldn’t have been able to get a 9-8 in my GCSEs. I revised mainly from your videos and without them I’m sure I wouldn’t have done as well.
@asad kalang, how did you revise

This was super helpful and informative man, thanks!
Thank you as always :)
I've got my biology paper 2 tomorrow and i would just like to say thank you for saving me :)
Big love sir❤️
Thanks
Hi is your paper 1 all done for chemistry biology and physics
Yes but i'm going to add one final video for C1 on Tuesday afternoon. It's about problems with models of bonding. It will only be a very short video.
hi sir. on the june 2022 paper there was a question on this and it asks about the effects on humans as well. I checked the mark scheme for that question and it had points that were not mentioned in this video such as: Carbon monoxide, Particulates and soots. Are there other videos where this is mentioned? This was a 6 mark question as well.
And now it is time for weekly global warming depression...
who’s here because of corona aha
Hi can you explain how it kills the aquatic animals please because I don’t understand it all I know is it has something to do with decomposition
Fertilisers (and sewage) contain minerals that algae need to reproduce. This causes the amount of algae to increase. When the algae die, they are decomposed by bacteria. This causes bacterial numbers to massively increase. Bacteria use oxygen for aerobic respiration so this causes the amount of dissolved oxygen to fall and this is what kills aquatic organisms. However, this level of detail is not on the AQA spec.
@@Freesciencelessons oh okay thank you :)
What about eutrophication
banger
Is all of B2 C2 andP2 finished?
Yes but I'm remaking the video on the brain as there was a problem with it.
Urmm literally last minute revision
What are aquatic organisms?
Aquatic organisms are plants and animals that live in water.
This is already paper two content
