As a teenager in 1970, I drove a white 1963 convertible with red leather interior. That three speed transmission would smoke the tires. Unfortunately I damaged the transmission twice and my father took the car away from me.😢
Nice year because it has a dual mater cylinder prior to the 1967 DOT ruiles for all cars and the Alternator as well as the last year for the Fins and horizontal quad headlight. 1961-62 went to a flush front end but 63 went back to the recessed grille and headlight columns . The 65 went to vertical stacked headlight to end the 7 year run for horizontal quads . Since 90% of Cadillac is the paint and Chrome..... this car will be impressive on the streets by its size and mirror finish paint in black that rivals a $ 60,000.00 grand piano in black. You can't drive a piano but you can listen to piano music as you cruise the town in this land yacht as well a sleep on the back seat if needed ....try that with a piano.

First year for the TH 400. It only went on Cadillacs the first year. From what I understand it was standard and they did away with the Jetaway.

Yes, Caddy put the dual master cylinder brake system in their cars a few years before the 1967 Federal requirement. So did American Motors...
