Classic Birds Eye Steakhouse Grills ad, with a song based on "Que Sera Sera"
I can recall Alien being shown on ITV in 1982…and looking back that’s quite amazing for such a fantastic film to be shown on terrestrial tv when it had only been 2 & a half years since it was released at cinemas.
Great era, as these classic adverts testify…and the link between Alien & tv ad’s is director Ridley Scott’s early career was making tv commercials 😁

Thanks Neil. I remember recording Alien, but I had to cut the adds out, to save on tape. I remember it being a Sunday night too, as I had School the next day and everyone was talking about it the next morning.
Used to Love the Birdseye Super mousse! Didn't know they made them,or indeed their name,used to come from a food discount shop, unlabelled, but oh,how I can taste it now 😋
Presumably a coincidence that the Porky’s ad saying they can’t show us the girls’ shower room is followed by Showerelectric?
