To me , this is the essence of ice dancing. Watching the current ice dancing , I was driven to go back to the time when this sport was at it's most compelling. I adored Klimova and Ponomarenko and still think they were the best.

Thank you for loading this , I couldn’t remember the skaters names but I never forgot this routine . Saw the movie when it opened and loved it . They used the music so well and symbolism etc . Just wonderful
I remember watching this on TV in the early 90s. Everything about it was/is so captivating. The hypnotic and sensual skating, the music is dirge-like but in turns, burns with passion. Genius from the late and great Wojciech Kilar, RIP.
I remember watching this performance live, perhaps recorded?. It was ELECTRIC. Rewatching it, watching their performance at the Olympics in Alberta, and their previous performances puts to shame the commercialized thing called pairs figure skating. So much of which lacks imagination or genuine grace. I am so grateful to those of you who have taken the time to post their various performances. Does anyone know what they are doing now, are they still married. Did they remain in former S Union, or move to N. America? Hoping the are truly blessed for all they gave to the world!

This was icedancing at it's very very best. Klimova/Ponomarenko en Ushova/Zhulin were the ultimate ice dancing couples for me. When the ISU changed ice dancing rules I lost my interest in it all together. The magic, the passion and the artistry are gone from the sport.
30 years later and this is still far superior at every aspect to nowadays soulless acrobatics!

Костюм продуман жо мелочей, браво! Музыка, костюмы, движения - все идеально совпадает.
