They showed life changing Holy Spirit love to these men: they will never be the same. God can break the power of the Enemy over their lives. This is Spiritual Warfare. It can only be fought victoriously by spiritual means, not through the flesh.
This is why PRAYER SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN REMOVED FROM SCHOOLS. PRAYER INVITES THE PRESENCE OF GOD AND HIS PROTECTION !!!

If prayer worked then hospitals wouldn't exist and there would be no need for doctors, nurses, firefighters or much else for that matter. We could just pray and get what we need. In fact that's exactly what you could imagine a world would be like, had it been created by a benevolent deity, but ours is clearly not the case. Actually what was said is a strong father figure. The op never said they were fatherless. February 24th 2020. I was attacked in an unprovoked incident by 6 men aged 17-20.
It caught me off guard and for a brief second I was convinced I was going to die.
I did the only thing I could think of at that time, I literally said out loud, "God please protect me!"
I was kicked and punched repeatedly but although I felt them and it hurt, it didn't do anything like as much damage as it should have done.
I looked up and saw the 6 running away.

i had a church and my elders were people who were homeless without hope my deacons were recovering drug addicts i had taken in, the church was prospering in Gods mercy, he was blessing people, my church wasn't about money or cash flow everything was volunteer, it was his church, a church of healing a church, have you ever been in a Sunday morning service that went on through to Monday evening where Christ takes over and time doesn't exist where people listen to Gods word fearful of his wrath yet blessed by his word no hunger no breaks people even children content, it mind blowing! I only had one rule and it was to the elders and deacons, unlike most churches today where the pastor has to bow to and organization backing the denomination demanding a cash flow quota, or threatening him with replacement, no i made it clear that they can suggest but the final decision falls on me, because Christ holds the pastor accountable for every soul that walks into that sanctuary and leaves unsaved, not the greedy organization or self-righteous elders! a simple way Christ put it was like this a warning to pastors beware of wolves in sheep's clothing, now these wolves in sheep's clothing are for the most part the elders the deacons/ and those among the congregation who pretend to pay the highest tilths these wolves dictate what will and won't be preached to them it's not about salvation it's all about cash flow, now the warning to the sheep is to beware of the prosperity wolves that have made merchandise of them without sparing a single one of them, that's the reality of being a pastor or part of the prosperity wolfpack, that's the simplicity of Scriptures

This was beautiful. I hope the Pastor reaches out to them and continues to speak to them. Although they had bad intent (probably hiding) they came to a place where the men worked together in unity and faith and showed them compassion and love. I believe if this congregation keeps up with them, and maintains a strong positive presence in their lives, I truly can be a beginning for them. This could be the moment that lead to them turning their lives around. I won't judge them, we don't know what upbringing they had and what their struggles are. Thank God though they had this encounter, it probably stopped them from doing worse things and ruining their lives. I pray this can be a point where they walk away from crime, and that through the help of God or others they find a better way to live their lives. May God also bless this Pastor and that church so they never lose the compassionate spirit and unity they displayed today.

ONLY if someone or several someones give them a hand and a way out of that lifestyle after they serve their time in jail. This one-time showy display isn't enough. Some male leaders are going to need to step up and guide these young men on the right bath. Teach them to love and respect themselves, love Jesus, and teach them skills they can apply to earn a respectable living. I wish I could "adopt" them.

I recognize that some gang members will bring a weapon to church as a safety measure during a gang war but, the fact that one of the dropped their gun on the floor while they were going over to pray for them means that he had been fingering his gun just before that, and no one takes a gun in hand unless they are considering using. My son works in the jail, he has a way of talking to inmates that has helped him a lot, he talk to them like they are human, gives advise, keeps his word to them and uses his humor. He said that some inmates have thanked him others say, nobody has ever explained life the way he has. These men need a strong father figure. One guy grabbed my son and cried his eyes out. I hope they keep ministering to these men. Pray my son accepts the Lord, he could be a powerful tool of the Lord in a place that needs light.
What your son is doing reminds me of the Biblical verse ... "and when saw we thee sick or in prison and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them "Verily I say unto you inasmuch as ye did it unto one of these my brethren, even these least, ye have done it unto me." ( Matthew Chapter 25, verses 35-40 NSV )

I hope that this pastor & his team continue to reach out & minister to these boys while they're in jail/prison to help them get their lives together. These things don't happen by accident. I worked in a men's prison for over 10 years. These young men are absolutely DESPERATE for good, strong, fatherly role models to learn from & look up to. It would be nice if they could be there for them for spiritual as well as mental health support.

This is amazing! He and his staff placed themselves in danger to protect the rest of the people the way they surrounded those dangerous men. They could've been shot and they faced it bravely but astoundingly with love and using faith as a shield. This is powerfully moving!
We need more stories like this! God will not let the enemy prevail and he will protect his children! Thank God for this pastor, for the congregation, and for the Holy Spirit moving in such a powerful way. Nobody was hurt and these 3 young men had a true God encounter and very well may have had their lives changed forever!

The Holy Spirit(Ghost) is working through the pastor. Christians do all things only through the power of the Holy Spirit(Ghost) pointing us to Christ Jesus. Without the Holy Spirit indwelling in me I would be lost in my sins. The Holy Spirit is cheating! Lol. It really does feel like cheating…supernatural cheating!

God bless all these people. I love that the pastor gave God credit for the outcome, saying he was used by the Holy Spirit. God is so good. Only He knows why those guys ended up there and why they were able to feel true love and receive prayers from this congregation. If I were there, I would have given the pastor the biggest thankful hug ever. 🙏🙏🙏

The church chose not to get their hands dirty by really helping the young men. Instead, they called the police to escort them off the premises. Matt 16:25 KJV

For that moment , Pastor filled that father figure gap they probably so deeply longed for. I hope the kids are able to receive what the Lord has planned for their lives .

I’m five minutes from Ferguson (all North St. Louis)…..As I approach my mid 40’s, I’m starting to see myself reaching out more to these young men and women, some total strangers….I’ve learned what life is about, raised a family, seen a lot. A lot of these kids have no one encouraging them, showing them affection, or simply just a quick conversation. Doesn’t excuse lack of self control, and doing certain unsavory activities, but isolated/negative emotions are good for no one. Everyone could use some positive conversations to stimulate their well being…This could have very well been the first positive male role model, or any role model they ever encountered…..Good job pastor!….Glad you’re a St. Louisan!….👍🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾❤️

It’s the MEN in the church surrounding them with prayer. Powerful. Every situation isn’t going to end like this but we thank God for the ones that do! I also appreciated the Pastor’s humility in the interview. Just a regular wholesome guy.

Two men approached me in the back of my house. Both had guns. They told me to let them in my house. I told them I didn’t know how to let them in, but I asked God I said god what do I say? He said, say the blood of Jesus is against you, this happened in Philadelphia. It was on the news and it allowed me to witness to people that I work with in the operating room they wanted to know what did the blood of Jesus mean that the two men didn’t shoot me in fact they waive their guns at me and told me to go on, and walked away

I was hanging out with some friends and the oldest brother was a gang banger, a car pulled up to their house and honked, their dad went outside and told the guys to leave, the passenger got out and showed his waistband and yelled for Brandon to come out.
The dad got in front of the car and started praying in the Holy Spirit, casting out demons!
Those boys left so fast! They caught the fear of the Holy Spirit!

@@warlordop713 I know, it's definitely an oddity and not a socially congruent thing to do something of this sort in *any* culture around the world. I'm a rational thinker like you. It's a hard thing to give any merit to this whatsoever.
There are a few perspectives one can take here, that being
(1.) The sheer weirdness, taboo, and non-sequiter nature of saying such things drove them off, and that this makes it a strategically intelligent move.
(2.) That they did become influenced supernaturally to leave, or at least they believed what he was saying and were moved psychologically.
Personally, I believe that it's both. And that whether or not it was supernatural in nature, it still deserves respect on the merit that it worked. Maybe not everything has to function "supernaturally" for it to hold water or for it to have real meaning. What happened was still significant, and is worth something.
Just as a little final note, your comment reminded me of a verse -- Acts 2:14
"Some, however, made fun of them and said, “They have had too much wine.”
Only god could make a change like this.
