I'm here building up a light sweat at 4AM.
I've only watched the part 1 & this one, but my body is already giving flavour & flow. I can't wait for my next in-person lesson. #KillinDem
That virgula and balance is diabolical tho, almost lost my ankle fr

I've been going through your tutorials, and I can say, without a doubt, that you simplify kizomba to essentials, i.e., to the true foundational steps for actually dancing kizomba. I live in Europe and dance Kizomba, I just dance naturally to the flow of the music. I've never taken any lessons, especially because I find it odd that non-Africans, worse, who have never been to Africa can teach me to dance (any) African dance on African beats.
I believe and always tell people that dance is and comes from the ear, that is, if you don't have the ear for music (rhythm); then you can't and/or will struggle to dance.
I have seen people train and learn - and I have friends who have trained and learned - all kinds of complicated kizomba steps and body movements and can really move nicely, but when they are dancing kizomba, they look awkward because they don't have the ear for the music.
Whilst people train and learn kizomba steps, most tend to forget or ignore the importance of training their ears to hear the music they're dancing to, which, in fact, should ultimately lead them while dancing instead of them leading themselves to the music. Odd thing to observe!
I have learned something valuable from you, how you've an incredible for the music and how your body flows to the music. That's what makes dance so incredibly enjoyable, the ability to feel the music while at the same the time moving the body to the music.
You're, without a doubt, one among the best of the best of kizomba teachers (if teacher is the right word).
Thank you kindly for your tutorials.

Thank so kindly for taking time to respond to my comment this way. You made me feel greatly honoured.
As a guy, I greatly admire Tony Pirata, although, I think, he sometimes or most of the times, tends to go overboard with improvisation, but I admire the way he really feels the music; and, importantly, how he is in control of the flow/lead. That’s very important.
He leads his dance partner so flawlessly and enviably🙂He and Aurea are definitely such great dance partners, you can see the connection is amazing. Tony Pirata has great body intelligence.
I recommended my European female friends and dance partners to your channel, and literally begged them to go through all your videos, pay careful attention and listen to your explanations and watch how you move.

I love that song “Ndoki” even though I don’t know what it means, but the beats are so awesome. I close my eyes when dancing to it, and kindly ask my dance partner to do that as well, and we just let our bodies move to the beats. I can't imagine the world without African beats🙂
      Cheers!
