- Zan & Aurora of the Instruments of the Now performance troupe dance at 'Tsunami on the Square' festival in June of 2009. The fire poi routine was performed in Prescott, Arizona's town square for an audience of 2500.
Hello dear youtubers. I am just recently looking back at this performance. And amazed at how far partner poi has come since those first days of discovery. Already over 10 years ago, very few if anyone was interveaving in this way (LOOOP and Greg Maldanado and Margret Womack were also at the forfront of the movement...now there are HUNDREDS! Yay for playmates!). I'm proud of the collaborative inspiration Zan and I demonstrated in this piece. Keep on discovering yourself and all the myriad ways that we are interwoven!

Zan and Aurora, that was absolutely stunning, in the world of fire performance you two are second to none. It was great seeing you both at Burning Man. I know you must have met hundreds of new people but you might remember me as John, the dragon medallion guy hahaha. I'm working on your under the legs pirouette technique, it's a lot more difficult than you make it look Zan. Anyway I wish you both well and hope to see you soon. :-D

Finally some good synchronized poi... proving IT CAN BE DONE! I'm trying to put together an all poi troupe, & hope it'll look a lil something like this as far as staying on beat, partner moves, etc. Well done! =) Hard to find good synchronicity w/multi-ppl poi & u 2 NAILED IT! Luv it. (*Anyone who wants to audition for my troupe, send me private msg! Oregon Washington area... 2 practices per wk, must be competent w/fire & basics of spinning & able to make a longterm commitment & work hard! =)

Can you tell me what the height difference is between these two? I see there is a significant one, which I assume makes things a lot harder, but it is proof that it is possible. Encouraging to me because I am a tiny person, but I want to do this. Lol.
