I am saved becasue i have recived through god dying on the cross, remision for my sins, and i have repented from them..i am born again through baptism (full emersion) and i have recieved the holy spirit (the comforter) and speak in tounges.
No not by my own admission but by the scripture.. In Acts chapter 2 verses 1-38 it talks about how the Holy spirit came and how you can be saved! This is in the Holy bible and cannot be interpreted any other way.. Sorry Daniel but if it is in the bible then it is the truth and nothing but the truth.. And to say any different is to be adding or taking away from the bible...

It's curious that TSC had canceled 2 months of activities ahead of time of the World trade center attack..
If they had no revelation from God that a disaster was coming to the city, why did they cancel all activities and set up daily prayer meetings and open the alters 24-*7 from late July into september ahead ????

Why don't you look up the "trench town miracle" from Kingston, Jamaica from 10 yrs ago>?
I guess Pastor Conlon got lucky when He prophesied that in the middle of a killing field where 800 recorded murders had happened in downtown Kingston (drug lord factions warring around this 30 acre plot) , that houses would be built and a kid's' playground would be constructed. That actually has happened , and Conlon predicted it a couple of years before it happened.
A Narrative of Surprising Conversions - a book by Jonathan Edwards in 1750 or so,
That book has in it the ways I believe one can be saved. They are testimony's from that time of Christians, how they got converted and saved into God's kingdom , and what they did after that.

I have cross referenced the accounts in Edwards with the account of conversion and actions thereafter by persons in Charles Finney's revivals, the thousands saved under C.H. Spurgeon's preaching in the mid 1800's, the Wesley brothers of the 1700's England, William Duna's tales in "take thy glory lord" book about the African experience, and of course, the bible.
As for what the gospel is --- I totally agree with David Wilkerson in his sermons
1. "gospel of Christ"
2. The gospel of Accommodation
Jesus told his followers of the coming Pentecost " Ye shall be endeued with power from on high" Luke 24:49-50
Luke 24:45-50 are Jesus' words directly from him to his Apostles
he tells them to do 2 things
1. Preach repentance and forgiveness
2. Tarry in town until ye be endued with power
If that's not the gospel, burn the red letters from your bible and ignore what Jesus said there

Daniel, let's see if we can agree on something here. I know you're openly hostile to the preachers I like, but I'd like to give you the first step in Salvation that I find from reading the bible and comparing it with historical accounts of conversion.
Do you agree that Salvation starts with GOD? By this I mean, that without God himself, there would be no Conscience in man, who 'knit me together in my mother's womb" Psalms 139:13-14
God chooses time in our lives to explode or , in other words, intensify the conscience which is the substance of God that makes us "created in his image" Genesis 2;
This multiplication of the intensity of the guilty conscience in response to our sin is extended for periods of time during our lives. Most of the time it's after a major even such as a family death, a murder, or losing your house in a flood or fire.
This intensification of conscience is known as Conviction of sin by God himself. It all starts with God, the whole process, for there is nothing we can do to be saved on our own. But, after such conviction hits you, if you just look to Jesus as the Israelite looked to their standards on the poles in Exodus to assemble before him, and you take the first step to him, he'll run the rest of the way to you and enlist you in his service.
Grant me the fact that Conviction is real and We'll be getting somewhere.
As for personal experience, I've felt conviction a few times in my own life, you can tell me all the theories you'd like, but I know it's true.

Praise God the Holy Spirit gave me discernment to get me out of a "church" like the one Hes talking about. No Bible, never talked about repentance ( ever) and was all about how to have a better life. Only problem is now I dont have a church per say to go to. So now I just watch my sermons on CZcams. I've been prophesied for almost 50 year on Jesus' behalf and I'm recognized as a person of God, but many are silent. Many just carry on as usual, which is so discouraging.
Hearts are waxed cold as many came seeking what the world had through Jesus, but not Jesus. Many, who think they are OK with Jesus due to few being confronted by anointed pastor. The great fall away is taking place.

'Regeneration means; Reproduction, the act of producing anew. In theology, New birth by the grace of God, that change by which the will and natural enmity of man to God and his law are subdued, and a principle of supreme
love to God and his law, or holy affections, are implanted in the heart.' Implanted.
Humbling isn't it. We cannot do that. So who does God look to? the humble and contrite ones. Psalm 34:18 and Isaiah 57:15.
Ask God to send the Holy Spirit to you, Luke 11:13. He will bring your sins to mind. As he does ask Jesus to forgive you. This will be painful, PRIDE HATES IT.
When you see your desperate need (Jeremish 17:9) for a Saviour, call out to Jesus to save you. He came to save sinners.
Then do as the risen Jesus commanded, be baptized. Matthew 28:18-20, in the water of repentance Mark 1:1-5, Matthew 3:6. Calling on the name of the Lord, Romans 10:9-13. How? As Peter preached Acts 2:21, 38 and as Paul did, Acts 22:16, Acts 19:1-5.
Think on Mark 16:16, 2 Peter 3:9, Romans 6:3-11, 1 Corinthians 12:13 and Colossians 2:6-15.
When He has regenerated you, you will desire Him. Read His inspired word, the Authorized Version, the King James Bible. The Spirit of truth will lead you into all truth. His word strengthens, washes (as does His powerful blood). His word reads you Hebrews 4:12. Daily bible reading and prayer is essential in building on the foundation which is Christ Jesus.
PS. The other apostles were already baptized, they baptized others. John 4:1-2.
Read His preserved word, the Authorized Version later called the King James Bible.
The magnitude and brevity of this sermon is just as heavy laden as just as accurate today! The church is in trouble! The Body of Christ is being duped by seducing sprits and doctrines of devils! Come ye out from among them and be ye separated!

I'll agree with most of what you said. But you have to know that the True Church " The Bride of Christ" is not anywhere near trouble. Jesus will defend Her with His whole Being. Not one hair on Her head will be touched. Now if you run to Jesus for prosperity and wellness then you were never running to Him for Him anyways. God searches hearts. He knows who Truly loves Him and belongs to Him. But yes there has been an invasion of the building which is not the church. But people call it that. I strongly believe that what we are witnessing in our generation is the dragon on revelation spewing " water" out of his mouth like a river to overtake them woman. Remember Jesus said I will give you "Living Water" this water that the dragon spews out has no life in it. No repentance , no blood of Christ. And that's what's being preached in pulpits across America right now. How you can have your best life now, just add Jesus. But that was NEVER the Gospel. Jesus said, You must be born again. John 3:3-8. "Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Humbling isn't it. We cannot do that. So who does God look to? the humble and contrite ones. Psalm 34:18 and Isaiah 57:15.
Ask God to send the Holy Spirit to you, Luke 11:13. He will bring your sins to mind. As he does ask Jesus to forgive you. This will be painful, PRIDE HATES IT.
When you see your desperate need (Jeremish 17:9) for a Saviour, call out to Jesus to save you. He came to save sinners.
Then do as the risen Jesus commanded, be baptized. Matthew 28:18-20, in the water of repentance Mark 1:1-5, Matthew 3:6. Calling on the name of the Lord, Romans 10:9-13. How? As Peter preached Acts 2:21, 38 and as Paul did, Acts 22:16, Acts 19:1-5.
Think on Mark 16:16, 2 Peter 3:9, Romans 6:3-11, 1 Corinthians 12:13 and Colossians 2:6-15.
When He has regenerated you, you will desire Him. Read His inspired word, the Authorized Version, the King James Bible. The Spirit of truth will lead you into all truth. His word strengthens, washes (as does His powerful blood). His word reads you Hebrews 4:12. Daily bible reading and prayer is essential in building on the foundation which is Christ Jesus.
PS. The other apostles were already baptized, they baptized others. John 4:1-2.

It was like that with my Dad, he would mourn, not get into it when I had to be belted as a kid, but it turns out that he loved me more than the other kid's fathers did.
My best friend's parents didn't love him enough to discipline him, he turn out to be a robber, a destroyer, and finally, a murderer. He's still in prison today. His blind parents blame him for everything and blame the state, but never look inwards to the root of the problem.
