28:56 première fois que je vois un cheval sans pions...mais c'est cool et je trouve bcp plus beau qu'avec des pions

It seems like a lot of the riders are throwing the horse off their rhythm when they keep pulling the reins right before the jump.

The horses can't see distance very well (eyes on side of head), so the rider is adjusting the strides. Horses can't do it alone.

The footing is top grade. There is a soundman with a microphone to bring the action closer.

Les commentateurs animateurs français se sentent obligé de " gueuler" pour présenter les cavaliers en piste qu'elle vulgarité, qu'elle incompétence et manque de respect des cavaliers !!!! 😞

show jumping, like pretty much all other equestrian sports, has degraded so badly that it's not even recognisable anymore. I can barely stand to watch these awful, half-trained riders abusing their poorly trained and incorrectly conditioned horses and yanking them around a course like they're a dirtbike. I stopped competing at the Grand Prix level (I stopped competing altogether) because I couldn't stand to be around these people and watch their disgusting "horsemanship".

@@JohnAllenRoyce I am talking about the commentators!!! not about the people who leave messages. Compared to the German commentators for example or the Dutch, two languages I am happy to know, the French are insufferably pretentious, yes!
