Harvesting with the Chief ✨ | My Samhain Reading 💀

i'm excited to share my reading this samhain with the spread created by Raecine ‪@owlmoon513‬. this tarot/oracle reading feels really special since it lines up with my birth card, my birthday month, and samhain. as i lay cards down for each question, i feel the knowing my bones -- all the deep inner work i've done feels abundant. i can't wait to harvest my wins and celebrate.
in an effort to keep this video short, i didn't discuss much about the history of santa muerte. she is death herself. she originates in mexico, her story and imagery has ties to spainish colonialism. many folks in mexico venerate her within their catholic religious practice, however she is decried by the catholic church. at the same time, there are also many folks who venerate her with a more folk practice, following various indigenous peoples' tradition and magic. what's wonderful about her is that there is no centralized way to venerate or work with her, leading to a profoundly personal devotion and widespread appeal. it is my understanding that her devotees are growing fast in number, in mexico as well as the US. although she is most seen in her three main robes of white, red, and black, she is a fascinating goddess of many colors; her power is prolific and potent.
