I love anything taboo the more extreme the better I know the genre isn't for everyone but at the end of the day its just a story and isn't real and if that kind of thing triggers people then they should just move on a read something that they are going to enjoy there's no need to ridicule people for liking different things and that's why I love Marys channel so much she never judges these more extreme genres and always make a point of saying it isn't real so don't let it get to you just enjoy the story telling that is behind it all I love that about Mary

Suggestion: Burn for Me by Sara Cate.
I read this in a day. This is older woman/younger guy, student/teacher with a dark twist. I don't normally do OW/YG, but this one is where the woman put the guys father in jail 8 years ago and then the son turns up in her classroom at college and he makes it his mission to mess with her. It's Duel POV and the Hero in this book is not what you expect and you really get to see how his life played out, why he's doing the things he's doing and how this is new to him but he doesn't shy away from his devious side. It's fantastic. I went on a Sara Cate binge after reading this!

Eighteen by J.A. Huss (Teacher and student but not terrible considering the student is 18. Still hott though)
One of my favorite book series of all time was The Boy and His Ribbon by Pepper Winters (Out of the entire list, i recommend this. SO SO GOOD and best to go in blind with no spoilers)

You should try Still Beating by Jennifer Hartmann, that is one DARK romance (and I mean it, do check the trigger warnings) but its got a serial killer and sister's fiance and kidnapping so I think you might like it! Can't wait to see your review if you do pick it up lol

If you're into M/M and have absolutely no incest triggers, then Nicky James is the place. To. Be. "Secrets and Lies" (estranged father/son), "Sinfully Mine" (brothers), "Rule breakers/risk takers" duet (father/son/uncle) and "end scene" (twins). She's a good writer and doesn't shy away from the real implications of her subject matter. She also does mental health representation really wellđ. I love taboo but I also live good writing and Nicky James has it in spades.

Loved, loved, loved Torn by Karian Cole. It was well written. Credence is also my favorite Penelope Douglas book closely followed by Punk 57. The Off Balance series is another favorite. Love to hate Cova then fall in love with him. I don't do incest books. But I will read step-siblings because they don't share genetic makeup so therefore it's not incest. Taboo/forbidden is one of my favorite trope along with mafia. Fell in love with Russian men after reading The Darkest Temptation by Danielle Lori.

Just wanted to recommend a mafia series I have never heard you talk about and that's the disciples series by Izzy Sweet and Shawn Moriarty. Its a 6 book series plus a short story. I absolutely love the series. Books:1. keeping Lily 2.stealing Amy 3.buying Beth 4. breaking Meredith 5. taking Meghan 6. trapping Sophia and the short is just called the disciples.
