NATO was preparing Ukraine as a springboard for sabotage and economic and military against Russia. And in Ukraine, half of the population is Russian. There are 6 million refugees from Ukraine in Russia who did not want to live under the Nazis and fascists. Europe has re-united into the 4th Reich in order to seize Russia's resources. Russia is liberating its lands from the new fascists who have seized Ukraine.

We had to enable this move. It was the first sign of the real possibility of peace between two opposing countries. Later Russia asked the U.S. for billions of dollars to rebuild their country under a democratic flag. We wanted peace after many years of the cold war, but nobody is that stupid. We told Russia that they have to show good faith and we would help them where we could as they transcend into a democracy. Then Putin came along pretending he was for the working man of Russia. He promised the Russian people he would restore dignity to the common man. Better jobs and better pay. When he took office, he threatened every oligarch in Russia. He told them they were all going on trial for fascism toward the Russian people. OR THEY CAN PAY PUTIN A 50% TAX ON ALL MONEY COMING INTO THEIR BUSINESSES. Research "The Magnitsky Act".

I am appalled by the mere fact that Russian politicians are starting to speak about the potential use of nukes in conventional war so easily... They are either delusional or plainly nuts and irresponsible by blackmailing the humanity with these threats... Total madness... I am from the Semipalatinsk region in Kazakhstan, which was used by the Soviet Russia to test their nukes just a few decades ago. So many locals are suffering now from its aftereffects. Innocent people always pay the highest price, while the evil Russian politicians feel no regrets and continue to harm people, understanding that nobody will dare to punish them severely because of their nuclear indulgence. What a sad planet we live in... Warm greetings from Kazakhstan to all still sane people, regardless where you are!

this is called sensationalism, very common these days, because most people don't check the facts here, was Putin said 2007:"“NATO has put its frontline forces on our borders,” although as yet, we “do not react to these actions at all.” NATO expansion, he stated, “represents a serious provocation that reduces the level of mutual trust. And we have the right to ask: against whom is this expansion intended? And what happened to the assurances our western partners made after the dissolution of the Warsaw Pact?” US secretary defense robert Gates: “trying to bring Georgia and Ukraine into NATO was truly overreaching.” That move, he contended, was a case of “recklessly ignoring what the Russians considered their own vital national interests.”

Now CNN is even going after Democrats? I'm checking outside to see if any pigs are flying. Still, CNN has a way to go before it totally breaks its compulsive TDS habit: Yes, Trump was too complimentary of Putin -- and I'm sure those clips will turn up prominently either in a GOP primary or during the 2024 election if he's the GOP nominee again -- but Trump's invitation for Russia to produce Hillary's emails was a moment of sarcasm, not collusion. Let Jake Tapper try to explain why Putin did not attempt any invasions or land seizures while Trump was in office. And Tapper while he's at it can also point out that Putin resumed invasions and land seizures after Biden scuttled all of Trump's US energy independence initiatives, shut down the Keystone Pipeline but gave his blessing to the German-Russian Nordstream II pipeline; and now it seems he's flirting with the idea of buying oil from Iran and Venezuela -- two of Putin's biggest allies? I give Tapper a B+, but he's going to have to work harder to get an A.

What is happening now is almost the same thing that happened in the 1930s when hitler started invading his neighbors claiming Germany had rights to those lands. It took too long for that Allies to stand against him. NATO needs to stand against Putin immediately, we should step in and help Ukraine, but I don't think NATO has the balls to do it. After Ukraine, Putin will try to take another of the satellite states that left the USSR after the cold war, when that happens we will see if NATO is useless or not.

It's really easy to say we should have taken stronger action, but what does that look like? Military action? If that is the case, we'd likely be in a World War with Russia and China right now and that is exactly what we've been trying to avoid. Even now! So just curious what further actions could have been taken? I'm not a foreign policy expert, so I'd like to hear from someone with a little more expertise.
