- SR 34046 Braunton was the stand in for 70000 Britannia after failing her test run a few days earlier on the Saphos ran tour The Lakelander from Nottingham to Carlisle via the 1 in 75 Shap Bank with the return back down the Cumbrian Coast line. 34046 would join the tour at Preston and is seen attacking the 1 in 75 climb to Shap Summit at Greenholme/Scout Green . Thanks to Nige for the crack today. Apologies for the muffled sound in the last clip as not sure what happened .

How did you manage to see it in multiple locations without falling behind?
Thanks for the comment and I had two cameras where I was for the first two locations with my mate doing the last one 👍
Three cheers for the banker doing a bit more than ETS for one Mk2?
It was a shame the diesel was assisting more than I expected but I believe Network Rail were worried about the fire risk .
@@TheStephengthompson Soon recovered from 'the wettest winter in years!'🤣
Can we not re open a coal pit to get decent clean coal. That black smoke is awful. Aye the rear donkey was helping but full marks to Braunton Driver
