I was watching confessions of a dollar tree addict and she was talking about this particular issue. I looked you up and I was unsubscribed. I totally didn’t know. I thought you were not posting any videos anymore so I’m glad she brought my attention to that.I resubscribed. It’s horrible that this is happening.
A few years ago I used to jokingly say that everyone in California (Google's home) was on drugs. I still say it but I'm not joking anymore. CZcams has become a dysfunctional mess. The way they do things, and the things they do, are so convoluted. It goes even further then what is described here. Under the "new" system, not even ALL of the people who have done all the steps get notified (and/or have new videos put into their subscription feed). CZcams sends them to a portion of the subscribers, then depending on the metrics, sends them to a larger batch if warranted, and if the video passes muster again, gets sent to the rest of the opted-in subscribers. Something along those lines. I may be explaining it wrong, but the bottom line is, CZcams decides if and when a subscriber will see a new video (unless that subscriber specifically goes to the channel and manually clicks it). CZcams's reasoning? "We don't want to overwhelm subscribers with too many videos". Literally, that's their excuse for this. Leave it to CZcams to totally change the meaning of a word - "subscribe" means the person doing the subscribing wants a subscription to subscribee! To me, it just seems like one more method of power grabbing, allowing YT to decide who sees what and when, instead of letting the publishers and the viewers make their own choices. I have been an ardent and loyal CZcams lover for many years, but these last few years have gotten me to start loathing this site and the people making the decisions. I hate seeing what has become of what was such a great site.

My settings are always on to receive notifications from the channels I'm subscribed to, but I still don't get those notifications, and yes my bell is set to receive. I'll see that you've uploaded when I deliberately go to my subscriptions, and I see you there. Otherwise, nothing. I don't have a channel, but if I did, I'd get to with other content creators and protest because you guys are the ones who make CZcams what it is. I also don't think it's fair that youtube would do that and not let you know from the get-go what's up with the new app. I hope things get better for your channel.

One very important factor on the listeners side that also plays a key role in this ish is the amount of variety we as viewers consume. The more variety the more prone to not being notified bc the algorithm focuses on pushing people towards more of a one track mind type focus. You'll also see this reflected in comments sections if looking at top comments... top comments change depending on who's viewing them they are not channel based. When we watch content with perspectives that may vary then the algorithm with push us to focus attention towards a more narrow perspective It helps us build bonds with some which is why it's gone undetected for so long but it's also what they have been using to manipulate mindsets and enforce divisions It's sad and down right scary at the same time The subscription tab feed is faulty for the same reasons BUT as long as you stay on top of who you're subscribed to then you can utilize the all subs aspect where it shows which of your subs have put out content you have not yet seen. By doing so over the last month I have rarely missed out on content I care about. Bc of this I no longer count on yt notifications I just set my own alarms
