This is utterly insane to hear. I am beyond excited to see what happens. A new album with the Nexus line up would be nutty.

I was pretty much just born around the time Nexus Polaris came out so a Kovenant reunion would be awesome for me as it's one of my fav metal records and has been since i discovered it as a teen in the mid 2010s, same with the first Covenant album with just Amund and Nagash i love that too. Great interview!

In June 2024 the Covenant came out on their Facebook page and said that Aria Galactica is cancelled. ):

Can't wait to see Kovenant live in Europe, when the time comes. I think Hakon Grav is their booking agent (the touring manager behind Emperor, Immortal, etc.), if I'm not mistaken, so things look very promising!
I don't know about any strange sound on Mirrored Hate Painting (besides the weird spoken parts, haha), can somebody pinpoint exact timeline when that sound occurs on the album?

but im dissapointed this band is trying to continue on from Nexus, rather than continuing releasing Aria Galactica... and no Angel on guitar 🤦🏻 its a shame, but i guess you can't have everything back the way you want it.😮
to continue from Nexus!? it is not continuation. it is reunion for best ever album performed on stage after 25 years. If Nagash wanted Era Galactica, he would call Angel i think. angel not even close to Astennu on guitar level and never could play any nexus song as perfect as it was written. reunion was iniciated by Astennu, so what is the point to do reunion from the album Astennu had nothing to do with!?!?!?
I read it will be may released at some point... let`s hope. But I am so happy to see the songs finally live. Thank you Nagash
@@DivineCode2019 I don't think this is just a "Reunion", thats more of a way them saying that we're reuniting, and they are creating another album after all!
im just one those ppl who likes all of Kovenants stuff and not just Nexus. ya know. and we were waiting for Aria for sooo long, thats all im saying is that ive waited since 2006 for the most recent lineup and sound to continue, but its not looking like it now.
and yea ur rite, if it was a dorect continuation, im sure Stian would have Angel on board without hesitation...
and i mean c'mon man, that 2000-2003 Kovenant sound is good but they also looked f'ing cool as well 😎

@@DivineCode2019btw, i was there when Kovenant played Nexus Polaris in 2010, and Angel was not struggling in the slightest😅 you got give credit where due.
@@Industrialist2015ofUk even if this reunion gonna bring new album, it definitely will be something new, but not Era Galaktika, as all the others musicians have writing style which is different from SETI and Era. As for Angel, well, I saw that video and he does not fit Nexus Polaris style as guitar player.
Nexus Polaris again please!!! I remember when that album was released, just some of the best. It needs to be repeated.

bro I was 16 when I acknowledge Aria Galactica would have been done, now I am 35, just release it already before I am 70. Otherwise I will found my own industrial metal band calling me Khowenant and I will record Arya Galattica ffs

@@CorinMio My god. This is a hard blow to my hopes. I am very sad now but thanks. It has been like having a relative in a coma, never knowing when he will wake up or if he will ever wakes up. Guess AI will fill the gap one day
It's really shame to hear that two founders of Lord Kaos left the band. :( Should consider updating lineups on Metal Archives.
Yep I'm dissapointed as well, it's always nostalgic and magical when the original line-ups get together. But that's life, if the chemistry and working drive to create something new isn't there anymore, what can you do...
