    Best video on CZcams on how to use and fix the Juki needle threader. Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge. My threader now works like a lucky charm.

    Thank you so much for posting this guide! I was on the verge of tears, banging my head against the table, trying to figure out this feature of my brand new Juki. Turns out the tiny metal piece in the middle of my threader was not centered... a tiny adjustment with my scissors and I was FINALLY in business! Thank you. Very clear and helpful.

    Oh my gosh you are wonderful!!! I have been living without this threader working for so long! I even asked the guy at the sewing center if he could fix it and he said he didnt think so!.... thank you so much!!! Your video was so easy to understand and I fixed my threader! I was scared to pop off the hook because you didn't show how to do that part, but I just bit the bullet and did it and it works now!!!!

    Thank you. I fixed my needle threader after watching this. I used a magnifying glass to see where the hook was landing and it was missing the needle. So glad to have it working again.

      Glad to help. Sometimes I would think what am I doing wrong and all the time the little hook wasn't even close to the eye of the needle!

  • @kathy-quilts-university

    For the longest time I just thought the Juki didn't have a very good needle threader then I found it just needed to be adjusted. Really funny. Glad we could help you.

    Thank you so very much. My threader stopped working suddenly and I have been searching around the internet for about a week trying to find a solution. You are the first to even mention that tiny stylus in between the two metal prongs, and the fact that you can pop off the threader to examine it. So I was finally able to fix it. Many many thanks.

    My needle broke while sewing, an must have bent the needle threader. I had no idea I could pop off the threader. I put it under a magnifying glass and saw what you were explaining. THANK YOU!!! Very helpful. I was able to bend it back to the proper placement and works like a charm!

    OMG thank you! Took off the threader and found that the metal piece in the middle was not centered. Gently pushed it into the center. I won't repeat what I was calling that part. lol It works! YA

    I don't think that the thread is supposed to go behind that one guide right by the area that tells you what kind of needle it uses - I think it is supposed to go through it.

    • @kathy-quilts-university
      @kathy-quilts-university  Před 5 lety

      I found on my machine that the hook was never getting in the eye. Use a magnifying glass or something to check if that thread hook needs to be bent so it will travel through the eye. Usually I just thread it and don't use the threader but it should work if adjusted properly.

  • @kathy-quilts-university

    Way to go! Weird how you have to use that threader but it is nice when it works.

      What hardware? Not sure what you want clarified. I can take a pic for you if you let me know what trouble you are having.

    Serious question- how in the world is this easier than just threading the needle myself? Seems like I could either twist it around several teeny tiny things or pull it through one tiny hole- the one hole is much simpler. If I just skip this step altogether since it's maddeningly frustrating and simply thread the need myself, is it going to cause problems with the rest of the threading?

    • @kathy-quilts-university
      @kathy-quilts-university  Před 3 lety +1

      It has been a long time since we did this video but I don't think that this was ever easier. We just wondered how it it was supposed to work because it never seemed to work. I usually just thread the needle without the threader.

      I'm old and find it impossible to manually thread a sewing machine needle these days.

  • @kathy-quilts-university

    It does take a little practice. When you aren't worrying about filming it, using the needle threader is a lot easier.

    Thank you! I just purchased my machine brand new. COULD NOT get the threader to work and thought operator error. After watching your demo, I found the tiny hook that grabs the thread is bent. Any thoughts on how I can repair myself? OR I may start searching for replacement piece and may have to make the LONG drive back to the shop to see if they can fix it. =(

  • @mybreault
    @mybreault Před 11 lety

    It looks very complicated to wind the thread around the threader.

  • @roadrunner123

    Threading a Juki is NOT easy! It’s a wonderful machine but their threader sucks. After 4 years of owning it, I gave up on the feature.The Bablock has an easy threader.
