When he told her that her mother must've been special to raise a daughter like her...my heart just melted. He's pretty good with the sweet talk..lol How can she not fall in love with him?
Shiyi is really very persistent. Naive and stupid are those who thought that she forgot everything and broke down.
Her story about her mother reveals a lot about her character and explains a lot about her behavior. Her mother was weak and could not resist Madame Luo, but she loved and supported her daughter very much. She was the one who allowed Shiyi to keep her kindness. He should really be grateful to her mother, because it was she and her love that allowed Shiyi to endure the trials of her childhood and become the person he sees now. His eyes are filled with love. @@Irynash11 Madame Luo tried to exploit her mother's death in order to control her. She really didn't know Shiyi at all. She really underestimated her. Her fighting spirit is what helped her survive in/out of the Luo family manor. Her mother did an amazing job raising her. Madame Luo kicking them out of the manor was a blessing in disguise. Although they struggled after leaving it taught her a valuable lesson about perseverance.
Lingyi earned her love/trust with his patience/kindness. It's amazing to see how she responds to him now. She doesn't try to run away from him now. Whenever he holds out his hands..she grabs it. She doesn't recoil anymore. All of his love/patience has paid off. It was a great strategy which is why he ended up winning her heart.

@@tulsi3549 He's the little monk that gave Shiyi a few clues regarding her mother's murder. When she went to the temple to find a lead....she ran into him....and he told her about the Xu family...this is what lead her to believe that someone in the Xu family was responsible for killing her mother. It's also the reason she agreed to marry Lingyi....she wanted to gain access to the family so she could investigate him. Unfortunately when she went back to the temple the little monk was gone...so she wasn't able to ask him any more questions about that day.
