Excellent suggestion, I will definitely get around to doing that eventually with propellants! This one definitely takes the cake, but showing it in practice will only cement it as the highest specific impulse whistle composition‥
All Hellfire , rocket #1 those 7 increments of delay are definitely producing a high amount of thrust, rocket seems to maintain constant speed or even still gaining speed after cored fuel is gonne .

As stated in my previous videos, yes, this is Dan’s KHP whistle propellant made with copper chromite and ferrocene to catalyze. The only difference is that this is specifically the pure perchlorate formulation.

How long can you store something like this
When it all comes to rockets like these, it is very important to properly keep atmospheric moisture ❲humidity❳ out of the motor. Use HVAC aluminum tape to do that, as it also functions to hold your fuse in place, as you see the other professional pyros doing it this way as well. It’s particularly important also that you apply the piece of aluminum tape very firmly to the base of the motor. Make sure that absolutely no air can enter the core.
Now, as far as the shelf life of Hellfire whistle and flash powders containing TNM goes, it is a very long time. A few years, easily. Just make sure to store these types of devices in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and so forth. Essentially, you should store your special ordinance in the same environment in which you would hide away fine wines, whiskeys, brandy, scotch, and gin.
These are bad ass but why use this instead of a sali or benz mix? This mix seems more expensive as well
Hellfire whistle mix has the highest trust output and total ISP ❲specific impulse❳ of any whistle propellant that can be reasonably made. I was also specifically requested to make this video by RunningMan as he wanted definitive documentation that Hellfire whistle mix can function as a rocket propellant without C.A.T.O.-ing if pressed around a core so as long as the rocket’s tube has been preliminary waxed prior to use. I typically purchase all my whistle fuels from Tim Seekon at pyrochemsource as he has extremely high quality and very pure chemicals for excellent prices. Both his Na benz and K benz are $8.00 a pound, and both his Na sali and KHP are $12.00 a pound. As for my K perchlorate, I only get mine from pyrobuild or ihaveadotcom, as they are the only vendors selling it without anti-cake added ❲pure perchlorate is always superior❳ for excellent competitive prices. The unquestionably expensive component is the copper chromite and ferrocene, as obtaining them both from RCS rocket motor components will cost you at least $40.00 without tax, shipping, and handling calculated. Still, you can obviously make very high-performance whistle propellants with KHP using only copper(II) oxide or copper oxychloride that can behave similar to Hellfire whistle mix. However, they will have a different tone as their decomposition whistle sound will differ when compared directly with Hellfire. With the benzoates, copper oxychloride is the best catalyst across the board, functioning greatly with both of them for high thrust production. For sodium salicylate, copper oxychloride is likewise a very high-test catalyst, and obviously, any of the iron oxides, though especially red, brown, and yellow iron oxide are the most beneficial ones to integrate.

Hellfire whistle when pressed consistently ❲even increments, ¾ to 1 teaspoon depending on granulation size❳ and in a waxed tube, will not C.A.T.O. on any tooling, even on those that utilize Universal or Nozzleless core-burning spindles. As Henrik reaffirmed, yes, these were all 1lb rockets pressed on the “Extreme Whistle/Strobe” tool set, and they have no problem being stupidly powerful yet amazingly consistent in performance and reliability.

Hello there, Rodrigo. Make sure you listen and watch this video with good quality headphones or any other decent sound system, or even just a phone with a good factory speaker. That 4” ball shell salute sounded like a full-on Ƽ” and was powerful enough to make multiple nearby residencies contact emergency services.
You are also failing to consider the important fact that no normal flash compositions were used in these rockets. These compositions, which are DIRECT-DETONATING flash powders, are listed in the description for reference. Normal flash does not detonate normally. It typically just deflagrates. Therefore, pasting with layers of gummed tape is REQUIRED to achieve better deflagration velocity, which translates to its overall power. DEFLAGRATION is a combustion type that burns below the speed of sound, and it greatly improves when subjected to additional confinement. On the other hand, DETONATION is a combustion type that exceeds the speed of sound, and when a material is capable of detonation by fuse, you DON’T NEED to go out of your way and make extreme confinement. In these contexts, electrical tape alone becomes perfectly acceptable, FAST, convenient, and EFFECTIVE. It all comes down to whether or not you use a special-purpose high-power detonating flash composition or a low-order, non-detonating deflagrating one. Please ensure to take note of this matter for future reference.
