- What does General Conference for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) look like through the eyes of a lifetime Protestant? This video will shed some light.
As 52 Churches in 52 Weeks winds down, it's been humbling to explore and learn about different churches and faiths. One of the biggest surprises has been the warm reception amongst Latter-day Saints - and it's not just the Utah-based LDS Church, that includes various Book of Mormon-believing restoration branches. Christ-centered, family-focused, and the faith-forward examples have shifted my understanding from what is typically projected.
That came to a head this past weekend, witnessing what was happening outside, and what was taught inside.
Special thanks to those who suggested and assisted to attend LDS General Conference. You know who you are :)

What did you think? What surprised you about this video? Feel free to comment below and hope everyone has a great Easter.
I just wanted to say You are a Good Man. Completely Agree with you about Lehi's Vision even my Wife when she saw That Tree had a change of Heart. It was sometime before either of us were ready to be Baptized, but how could you fight against that? I do not understand...In any case recently became acquainted with a youtube Channel called Delighting in LDS Truth and Exposing Anti Lds Lies. (All Caps) ive sincerely enjoyed what David has had to say and his infectious Joy. Including but not Limited to his Gospel Folk Music. Psalm66: 1-5 1 Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands: 2 Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious. 3 Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee. 4 All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah. 5 Come and see the works of God: he is terrible in his doing toward the children of men.
Have a great Easter! I really enjoyed this video. "Blessed are the peacemakers" can't go wrong following Jesus Christ.
A long, long time ago, I was an interested Inquirer into the church and ultimately was baptized. It was the best decision I have ever made, and it has sustained me through life’s up and downs. I cannot begin to list all the things that I have learned about the Scriptures, the principles of the gospel, and the amazing possibilities when we leave this life and go to the other side as they say. Good luck with your 52 weeks tour and I’m so glad you were able to be in Salt Lake for the conference. And I much appreciate your perspective on what you learned. 🙏
I was struck by your observations of the "structure" that you found in evidence. Have you had opportunity to read Section 88 of the Doctrine and Covenants? I refer specifically to verse 119. Would you be willing to read that verse and then give your observations on how it ties in with your impressions at the Conference Center? The entire section is important to us as followers of Christ in these latter-days, but the verse to which I specifically refer has always resonated with me, and if you have the time, I really would love to hear your impressions.
I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and I have several close protestant friends. I am always flattered when my friends invite me to their churches and have always enjoyed my visits there. I also love that one of my closest friends is willing to attend church with me when I am giving a talk or when one of my children is baptized. Though neither of us is interested in joining one another's faith, I love that we can still be close friends and support one another.
As an LDS member in Denmark I was pleasantly surprised over your open mind, and eager to take in new impressions. I do believe that having love and respect for other people and their faith is probably on of the most important characteristics of a Disciple of Christ, no matter what faith you belong to. Thank you for your fair treatment of other faiths.
We are all the children of our Heavenly parents
There's an awful lot of destructive evil going on ever since the beginning of this church as the Protestants murdered Mormons openly. If you are a Protestant I understand it's not your fault that your ancestors murdering innocent people but it is the truth and it did happen I'm not sure if there were any Catholics involved in it seems odd that there wouldn't have been but I'm not sure that there were any Catholics in those murder mobs and regardless of that people are guilty of what you're guilty of. And they will be put through the discipline as it is prescribed by God the Father
So many people were just jealous of Joseph Smith due to the fact that he was visited by John the Baptist Jesus Christ and God the father in person. That made people so jealous it grew the hatred necessary for murder
@@janaprocella8268 Jealous? Oh my...Read the Bible Jesus is God and we only have ONE God enough said...
@@janaprocella8268 I am not so sure it was actually jealousy, but, more fear. Coming from a Methodist background, I was taught that modern revelation is not really a thing. I always balked it, and eventually, stopped going to church with my family. It is the unknown, and a new way to see our Heavenly Father and that He is not gone, and unavailable to speak to, and receive personal revelation.
I’m not LDS, but as a choral singer, I absolutely love their music. Some of the best in the US. What an amazing experience.
I'm amazed at how well the audio came across in the cell phone video. Beautiful!
@@colenelson658 such a full rich sound!
@@JoshuaDavies04 thank you!
@Tiffany Fannin - If you know any LDS members that could get tickets for you to a future General Conference, you should try to attend in person to hear the Choir live. Or attend one of their Sunday morning broadcasts or Thursday evening practice sessions if you are ever visiting Salt Lake. The Choir is sooo stunning and beautiful live, in person. Watching them on TV or the internet doesn't capture how magnificent they are. Maybe it's due in part to the acoustics in the Conference Center, as well as their voices, but in person they will take your breath away!
@@micheleh3851 I’m sure! Thank you so much
My Dad once had an experience when he was in the Missionary Training Center when he and all of the other missionaries were talking before a lesson was to be given. None of them were facing the door, however, the Spirit suddenly flooded the room and everyone fell silent at the same time. My Dad looked to see who had walked in to warrant such a feeling and he was surprised to see an apostle that came to visit and teach the lesson. He has never forgotten this experience and it serves as a strong testimony to him of the authority and Spirit that resides in the apostles.
Gosh, the stark contrast from the hell going on outside the Conference Center with all the divisive, demoralizing, destructive shrieking and shouting coming from the protestors. And then you contrast that with how quiet, peaceful, and uplifting the inside of the Conference Center is. How grateful I am to be a member of the Savior’s restored church.
AMEN! ❤️☀️
With respect, do you have the courage to truly look at both sides? To listen AND hear what people like myself have to say? Most importantly, if you found the truth to be something other than what you currently believe, do you have the courage and spiritual integrity to make the appropriate changes in your life? Your family’s lives? If the answer is no then be honest with yourself about it and put your shoulder back to the wheel and push along. If the answer is yes, then read the CES letter with the intention of finding truth and not just the intention of proving your current beliefs. Listen to the stories of those who were LDS and now no longer are. If you feel your testimony is strong enough, then I issue you that challenge. If you truly value truth over an established way of life…. Dig in.
@@user-rb9cn8xj4e with respect, I have the courage to look at both sides. And uhhhh...well, I read the CES letter years ago. And when I did, I was overcome with this dreadful feeling, just an overwhelming, empty feeling.
Then I realized it was just cuz I hadn't eaten all day.
But I came to a conclusion that day: would I rather believe in the Arbiter of truth (God) or become a doubter whose doubts are based upon the doubts of doubters who rehearse their doubts with other doubters?
I choose to believe, and fill my shelf, rather than believe in the doubters who don't seek to build, but to tear down.

I can’t even imagine being yelled and heckled at walking into church with my children. 😢

What a nice comment. Thank you. ❤️ No one should ever be yelled at and heckled going to their church. It's just unacceptable. We would never do it to any other religion. Who doesn't love Uchtdorf? 😀 He's great. Also, I just wanted to say that I love your ladybugmom name. Super cute 🐞 😀

Elder Uchtdorf gave another talk just last week! You should listen to it!
Thanks for your positive impact and thoughts
Thank you for this kind observation and review. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints, it gets really difficult being mocked all of the time. You were fair and kind. Thank you and you are welcome anytime back in our church.
It’s not kind to mock anyone’s religion. Every church has issues that they have to work out. Mine included as an Anglican. I find Latter Day Saints very fascinating. I like learning about your history and how you guys worship.
As long as you realize the LDS is all made ip
@@fobbitguy oh well, miss out then buddy.
You can read the book of mormon all you want... it's free! @@fobbitguy
@@Crikey420 I mean... all of the claims made in the book of Mormon could be verified factually if they were real. They cannot be verified. Add to that the timing of Smith's revelation being around the Second Great Awakening is WAYYYY too convenient. I actually think the Mormon church is really cool and very unified. It's just that the historicity is very much in question.
I’m a lifetime member, born of converted parents to the Latter-day Saint religion. And it makes and sparks unbelievable joy that someone out of our religion would look at us with so much respect and love. To have such an open-minded disposition and willingness to evaluate, validate and absorb all that it was good.
This persecution many of us suffer silently, in varying degrees, and it just makes me love your work, and your dedication of this search and quest for knowledge, so pure and heartwarming, thank you! In tears I express with all my heart, thank you!
Could not agree more
The most kind discourse we (members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) have received in a long time. Thank you Cousin! ❤
As you might be able to tell from those protesters, it’s hard for us LDS folk to find people outside of our membership with positive opinions about us, thanks for being kind!
The secular population does not care about Mormons. Most of those protestors are former/current Mormons who left/have a faith crisis because of the church’s true history, dishonest teachings and practices, predatory conversion and retention tactics, stance on gay marriage and women, contradictions with prophet doctrine, in addition to recent scandals like money embezzlement and sexual abuse coverups.
If the church really learned from Jesus’s example and owned up to those issues and apologized, improved it’s glaring issues to serve its members and used its billions of dollars to help faithful members in need instead of building unused temples, luxury malls, and paying lawyers to protect sexual abusers, maybe those protestors would stop coming.
The church tries to look like the victim being attacked by bitter people when in fact people are bitter because the church is the one that scammed, deceived, and oppressed them. Of course the people want justice.
@@mochalotte4702 Now the question of this is, are these things you have actually looked to both sides on or from a source that only shares things that benefit your argument. I don't know what you mean about dishonest teachings and practices, predatory conversion, retention tactics, stances, etc.. Your wording, especially under "retention tactics" shows that you view the church as a money grab that has no concern about an eternal perspective. If you would like to elaborate on these things with specific examples, I would be glad to have a civilized conversation on these things.
While I believe the protesters at the beginning of the video were being rude and uncharitable towards LDS, they were right to call out Mormonism for the utter lie that it is. But, if they are to live Christ’s example, they must be charitable in calling out the liars and releasing the members from their grasp.
@@michaelbarry1664 Ye shall know us by our works. "Mormons" show their faith by following God's commandments and the teachings of Christ when he walked on this Earth.
As a member of the said church, there is a CZcams video out there in which a member talked to one of these (loud and proud) protesters and became good friends with them. It was certainly an eye-opening watch for me as I too have a tendency to judge others not the way Christ would judge them. Cheers.
Welcome to the fold Brother David!!!!! Congratulations on your baptism!!!
I'm having a wonderful time going back through his videos
As someone who is a return missionary for the LDS church, it makes my heart rejoice seeing someone who is so willing to learn and have an open mind to our faith. Not everyone is like you, and thank you for that
Don't worry, general conference is spiritual overload for members as well! We usually go back and rewatch talks afterwards
That's the joy of having it on the app isn't it .. we can read and ponder over the next few months .. I joined in 2016 at 32 years old and I know even when it's hard and I don't attend church I read conference talks and within days I feel the spirit and it slowly moulding me back to church

The Mormon church goes after the stupidest people. I should know I was a missionary. Intelligent, inquisitive people don’t convert.
As as Latter Day Saint, I want nothing more than to stand along side our friends of other faiths in worshiping the Lord Jesus Christ. There is so much that is lovely and as Paul says.. of good report and there are sincere and wonderful people throughout the Christian world. CS Lewis is also an oft quoted non Latter Day Saint in conference and I believe he was an inspired man. We are going to need each other as we get closer to the second coming.
You said it---We're going to need to stick together as Christians in these trying times.
@@drjanitor3747 The Lord said, If ye are not one, ye are not mine. Be one with all people, faiths and religions and respect their views even if they differ from ours.
I believe with all of my heart that all people have the light of Christ, and recognize truth inside of them. We recognize it with a “knowing”, maybe even from our premortal existence. Because not everyone can have a fullness due to so much misinformation and lack of being taught, our levels of truth can look so different. But I believe that even though I firmly believe that we have apostles and a prophet today who hold the keys of the priesthood authority as Abraham, Moses, ect and from Jesus Christ to Peter had, that the Lord loves all truth and appreciates all who worship and honor what they know through their faith to be true. He will reconcile the confusion- the most and haze. But to become as one, we MUST love, respect, and honor eachother and not be as the Pharisees and saducees, feeling self- righteousness and judgement toward their brother and neighbor! Love and respect heals, and unity brings the spirit of truth. We all have more in common than not. The judgement that is separating us as people is toxic. Everyone deserves mercy and respect. Even the least. Sending love on the path ❤
@@drjanitor3747 you sound very close minded. Not a good example of being unified. Jesus said be one with all people, not just Catholics. Whether you are Christian, Buddhist or Muslim, you can choose to become unified even if your beliefs differ.

I also learned some new things from your video. I live in Belgium and never attended general conference in SLC. I hadn't heard much about the protesters. I'm glad to hear that you felt our members are dealing with it in a peaceful way.
I wish everyone was so openminded as you are and wanting to build bridges. Our world would be so much nicer and more peaceful!

@@elenalohrey1971yes if you think really really hard . Who mocks and calls names to truths . Call us non Christian . Cults . Because we do not believe in their false Trinity started by a Constantine evil Empire . Trinity not even found I. The Bible . They call the true church names. Can’t come to Christian conferences etc. in Joseph Smiths day you could not buy sell or trade with them . Even now they don’t hire members at certain places . Back when Joseph Smith asked which church to join and was told to join none . They all are an abomination . Not the people but the false teachings . And no priesthood . At Joseph Smiths time there were 666 churches . No wonder he told him to join none . They are all marked false . 666 give or take more or less now . Seven means perfect so 6 opposite . All false . They are the 666 mark of the beast . The man being Satan . They persecute the true church . Think about it . Only one Lord one church one baptism . Why do we have so many churches ? Only one can be right . So that would make all others wrong . Since Adam and Eve there has been many different churches
. There still are . Why ? Why so many ? Trinity council locked up those at the council who did not agree and burned them . Catholics also bullied . Burn people at the stake for not joking the Catholic Church and the Spanish Inquisition . Then later Catholics were persecuted . Christian’s killing Christian’s yes mark of the beast . And persecuting truth . They still bully . They have false prophets . Anyone who preaches false things is a false prophet . All these churches do not have the truth . Not the fullness . Don’t be fooled by them . You do not want to mark yourself to them . Look back in the 1800 wilford woodruff and others explain that this is the mark of the beast . Now in general our church teaches nothing about it . But many prophets and prophets back in Brigham young times and after have given this explanation explanation . Bruce R Mcconkie says Catholic Church was the beast of of the devil . That makes sense since they all are . He changed it to any church peoples institution that persecuted truth . So yes who is bothering scourging calling names ? Saying we will all be in Hell but we heed them not . They are the mark of the beast . All teach wrong . Don’t mark yourself to them or their teachings . The pagans have their three headed dragons. . Trinity comes from that pagan who Israel was to stay away from . Think about it .
I loved this analogy as well. I e been there in person once and it definitely felt scary watching those angry people. I felt like they would jump at us at any moment and hurt us. I am thankful for people like this that can bring peace and love to the world.
Me too! I've been to general conference before and I've never made that connection!
It brought me to tears !
Truth was felt.
I decided at 15 that I'd never be a Christian because of the vitriol I saw toward anyone who didn't agree with the churches that I attended. I was introduced to missionaries at 17 and tried for 6 months to fight them and was very insulting, assuming they were like the other Christians that had always been so condescending to me. They showed me nothing but kindness. I met the Bishop who worked as a professor at the local college and had eyes that showed nothing but love. eventually God struck me with much chastisement after my 6.month attempt to prove them wrong, I finally fell down to my knees and apologized for my meanness. I committed to join the church and had to wait till I was 18, that was 25 years ago and my life has been so blessed, even through the trial of losing my first wife of 20 years to cancer, Christ has sustained me.
I'm so sorry for your loss, and for the rough beginnings of your life to connect with God. I stay out of all denominations unless they teach the Bible in historical and spiritual context. I am equally blessed and free of so much division in all other churches.
Just sent a prayer your way, brother Cameron :) May God continue to lead and bless you! Thank you for sharing your testimony.
When I told Mormon missionaries I was a Christian and not interested in their perversion of the Bible, they got visibly mad and told me I was the wrong one and left.

@@cameronk1559 I was honest and they got mad. I wasn't unkind, I was honest.
I have never attended General Conference in person. I had no idea about the bedlam the protesters create right outside the conference centre. And then you contrast that with the Tabernacle choir singing my favorite hymn. I broke down and cried. Thank-you for sharing that.
I was raised Protestant. I understand a lot of those apprehensive feelings you have with the Book of Mormon. As soon as I asked God if He’d guide me in reading it and if I should continue or not. And then asking if what I was reading was true, I felt like a hole in my heart that I didn’t know was there was filled. Christ is there.
Thank you for sharing your testimony, Hannah! Jesus is the key to all of it and He won't abandon or leave behind anyone who loves Him in heart, even if religious or other concerns are outside His order today, as long as we do our best, honestly seeking!
Is the book of Mormon translated correctly? The argument is that the Bible is true as long as it is translated correctly. We have the original language scrolls and codexes etc totalling over 20k pieces. Please show me the original from which the BOM was translated so we can verify if it is true or not. I will gladly wait for your reply.
@@johnwolfram2689 You seem to be sarcastic. However, my comment will be straightforward. By the witness and power of the Holy Ghost, I know The Book of Mormon-Another Testament of Jesus Christ (its longer title that I prefer) to be a true witness of Christ. By simple reading skills, spiritual witness/knowledge aside, I know the book points in all details to Him as God's Son and as our only Savior and hope.
Have you read both the Bible and The Book of Mormon in their entirety? I have. I love both-both are priceless treasures. Both have unique advantages/details. As you probably already know, the original plates were returned to Moroni. And no, every Bible scholar knows we have no original biblical writings, the original words on whatever original media (scrolls, paper, plates, etc.) by the several dozen Bible authors. Unless there are new archaeological finds of which I am unaware in recent years.
And no matter any archaeological find, without the authors living to tell, it is impossible to 100% validate that they actually wrote them. You HAVE to introduce faith and trust in things you cannot personally see, at some point, to believe the Bible. So asking for the original plates of the Book of Mormon is a moot point.
But The Book of Mormon promises that at the final judgment bar of God, the writers of the book will stand as witnesses of the truth of their words in the book. I suspect the same will be true for the Bible.
I think it is intentional and logically mandatory that God does not, cannot and will not unequivocally prove, for all to see and know, the veracity of His written words. Otherwise, we would need no faith to believe and follow Him and our faith could not be tested or proven.
You miss entirely the point of faith in your comment. Belief/evidence/proof of things +not seen+ (but true) (Hebrews 11:1; also see 2 Corinthians 5:7).
Many people dismiss the Bible on the same basis you here dismiss the Book of Mormon....
You cannot learn the truth about the Book of Mormon without searching spiritually, e.g. reading and praying to ask God: "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned" (1 Corinthians 2:14).
May God bless you, my brother John!

Mormons teach that.
Christianity is a religion that leads people to Jesus Christ. Mormons do that.
Christians are called to be fishers of men. Mormons do that too.
Christians should have fruits that are good, love-based, service oriented, and place the love of God at the center. Mormons pretty much corner the market here.
Christians should be happy…. I mean, the best sermons are the ones lived, and this is some good happy stuff I’d like to have in my life.
What is this “truth” you’re talking about, man? Because we have the John MacArthurs out there bashing other denominations, the Baptists bashing themselves, the Pentecostal faiths pretty much doing their own thing but still arguing Calvinism versus Armenianism, and between themselves about sanctification before justification and no Holy Ghost until the outward manifestation through speaking in tongues.

I joined the church at the age of 72. I was a Buddhist since the age of 17. All I can say is Buddhism was a great foundation for belonging to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Thank you for your kind and fair appraisal....
Amazing ! You are an amazing person! Thank you for sharing briefly.
I would’ve love to hear your story
I’m a member of the church as well, and have been studying some of the tenants of Buddhist thought, and it has helped me to be a better member of the church. There are a lot of truths that align with the church, as well as positive modern mental health practices.
Thank you, brother Sam, for sharing your brief but profound testimony! The little I have studied of Buddhism is all positive and wonderful. The yin-yang symbol alone is one of the richest, yet simplest symbols I know and is a hands-down favorite for me. I've had the blessing and privilege to be born and raised in the church, and the more I learn and experience (including antagonistic "anti" thoughts), the more certain I am of its truthfulness!
I wasn't too successful academically but had the privilege to attend BYU and one of my most anticipated and treasured classes was one covering the basics of the 16 most populous world religions (some are more philosophical than religious). Buddhism, of course, was included. I love seeing the commonalities between other religions/beliefs and the restored gospel! Just as I think there is no person I don't have some positive thing from which to learn, I think we also have positive things to learn from every sincere religion. The professor who taught my class was a former Buddhist as well. He repeatedly taught us that everything has a bright side, happy side.
And yet Jesus said "I am the truth and the life. No man comes into the Father except through me." John 14:6. How does that correspond to Buddhism? How does Buddhism set the foundation for LDS if It is Jesus Christ alone?
Thank you for being so kind, open, and respectful about your experience with latter-day saints. It’s rare for members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to be represented fairly and truthfully by folks outside the faith, but you did a great job. 💚 Very appreciated.
Kind? Can't you see through the intentions of this money grubbing charlatan?
WOW! this place looks like a museum dedicated to Jesus Christ, all those works of art 😍
I have been a member of this church since I wad 10 years old. When I was in my late twenties I became inactive. My life went down hill and I was a lost soul. About 5 years ago I came back to the church. I came home! I testify that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints is Christ's true church here on earth. Since returning, God's loving arms are constantly around me and my life has turned around in amazing ways❤ I love our heavenly Father and Jesus Christ with all my heart and soul❤
Thank you for sharing! Glad you have been feeling God’s love ❤️
he leaves the 99 and finds the 1 ❤
Jesus was not a Mormon. Get that through your thick skull.
I hope and pray that some day soon your story will one day be my sons story, and he will return to church! He fell away from non member friends and their bad influences ! He tried to come back once for a year, but he lost hope! It has been the hardest 😪 journey waiting on God's timing to bring him back to church!❤
@@stardustgirl2904 Please just keep praying for him and having faith. Our Heavenly Father loves your son. Never give up, and believe in miracles!❤
Thank you David for your willingness to do this. I see myself in your adventure of 52 in 52. Many years ago when I came from Poland. I decided I wanted to become a catholic priest. I was astonished that there are so many different churches. I felt then that, with so many churches there have to be one which was the most correct one. I was surprised that I wasn't the only one with the same question. I started to search and the Holy Spirit guided me to the LDS church. I wasn't happy what I was feeling, because of what my friends and family would think if I tell them that LDS feels right. Then after 3 days of me praying constantly, the vail became very thin. The Holy Spirit came over me and ALL the questions I had were answered all at once. I never expected for my search to end the way it did. I pray and hope that you will find your place and you happiness. Love your videos and your bravery.
Love your Tree of Life analogy ❤️
God bless brother

Wow, thanks for sharing your experience!
Nice to see your comment. Randall
I joined the church when I was 22. My roots are First Baptist. My love for the Savior is non denominational. I am now 49 years active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! The blessings to myself and family are not measurable. There is a scripture (Mathew 7:15:20)that says “by their fruits ye shall know them”. Your attitude and actions helps plant that “good” fruit. That peace and love taught by our Savior. We’ll done!
Brave assessment. Thank you!
I would have thought the Baptist Biblical roots would have made it more plain how the two beliefs are very different in the nature of God and Jesus and the freedom of being saved by God's grace alone without measurements of tithing, marriage, temple works, etc. I am also non-denominational, but in order to agree we have to look deeply at the full nature of Jesus or we demean Him and that is not a good thing. Yikes!
With a youth suicide rate double the national average in Ut. I would question your fruit.
I’m lds and was at conference last month for the sat night session. I love how you say “building bridges”. I think that’s what our entire world needs to do right now to overcome the adversary. Thank you for your respect of us as Latter Day Saints
They worship a different Jesus. Smith created another version of God to touch the girls married or not. Just because Mormonism has the name of Jesus on their church doesn't mean the same Jesus. Get to the roots of this sticker and pull it out of your life or else you will fall into Satan's hot Brimstone Bed burnt.
I've been a member since 1 December 1979. I promised myself I'd read the Book of Mormon once a year for the rest of my life. After 55 readings, It's still true!
Satan has a stronghold on you. I reject your words because Smith was a liar making Mormonism nothing but a lie. Your words will never erase how Smith started the church. He used God's name to touch girls married or not because this was his love and never God. Who do you love the most. The fake Jesus Smith created or the the real Jesus God's Word?
Amen and hallelujah! The "Power is in the Word"!
You otta read the Bible alone that is God's love letter to us without the added lying words of Smith to get the girls. There is no man living on the moon like Smith said there was. God is not flesh but Spirit as His Word told us who don't lie. There is no corruption in God's Word but Smith's BOM which is indeed corrupted for earthly wealth. God alone is God and there is no other that Smith calls God a liar again that there is many God's. Smith said Jesus is Satan's brother that God say's He's not. The book of Abraham came from a dead priest burial papers that Smith used the dead to profit. Smith lied that God said the BOM would be Copyrighted in Canada but was not that made God into a liar. Smith put a seer stone in his hat then poked his face in and pulled out a fat liar. Smith said all denominations were evil and corrupted and blamed his version of a fleshly god told him this. Smith sneaked like a snake so evil that he was called good to the girls and shot to death by the guys while Smith was in Jail. Smith was Evil called good but true Christians he called called evil just as the true God foretold would come to pass that Smith fulfilled.
Smith indeed was a dog in Sheep's clothing ripping off people just as the true God warned and foretold yet people ignore His truth as worthless and honor Smith like the people said, give us Barrabas but Crucify Jesus.
YOU need to get out of that CULT FAST!!!
Gratitude tears running down my face! Thank you for your genuine thoughts. My heart is full. ❤️☀️❤️☀️
As a member of the church your insight into 1 Nephi 8 was spot on and helped me see Lehi’s dream in a way I’ve never thought of. Keep up the good work my Christian cousin!
As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, thank you so much for your kindness and respect. I hope we can build more bridges with bricks of Christlike love as this goes along!
They are in Sheep's clothing hiding the sex maniac Smith that was a complete dog devouring girls and looking good because he used God name to sound good. Pure Blasphemy.
I'm a convert myself. Baptized Presbyterian as a baby. Went Atheist. Then was blown away when I found the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I find so many parallels between the antagonistic protestants of today and the scribes and pharisees of Jesus's day. Their "smoke alarms" (as you called them) prevented them from embracing the new teachings and expanding truth the Lord was sharing with them. Chris was not attacking the Old Testament (he was fulfilling it), but he was attacking the false interpretations and uninspired auxiliary teachings men came up with. The Book of Mormon does not attack the Bible but supports it and confounds the false doctrines (2 Ne 3:12) so rampant in the sectarian world today. So many bible believers feel threatened by this because of faulty interpretations of Gal 1:8, and Rev 22:18 - even claiming member of The Church believe in a "different Jesus" than the Bible. A little dumbfounding when it is understood that a primary purpose for the ancient Book of Mormon prophets was to convince their posterity AND all gentiles who should receive their record that Jesus was and is the only true Christ and that they need not look for another messiah (2 Ne 25:18).
You are better off being an atheist than a Mormon.
Exactly!!! Comment is spot on brother
This gospel changed my life, coming from a home where my dad was using drugs and my mom was doing bad things, I was blessed to find the church of Jesus Christ of the later day saints and today I'm successful in every area of my life, I share my testimony that this church is true. ❤
Thank you for sharing your testimony, Johnny!
I think what is more true is the organization of the LDS church works for people who need that structure and rules for good clean living and expectations to believe a certain way, marry, have kids, pay the tithe, etc. That is not necessarily "true" as written in the Bible, or stated by Jesus in the Bible. Truth is different than just what social systems work for a certain person, but on the whole, the LDS religion is full of nice and good people, tho somewhat naive and almost fake or teflon in a way. I'm glad it's worked out well for you and I pray you never stop looking for more truth.
@@janet-Spirit_of_the_Living_God Why are you pulling down against and seeking to counter Johnny's experience? Can you let people share their beliefs and experiences without seeking to counter it? Do you think it benefits him? Do his beliefs harm him in a way that you feel compelled to "intervene" with your counterarguing words? Does it benefit you? I just don't understand where/why people pull down against others beliefs that do not harm others.
@@janet-Spirit_of_the_Living_God When as a priesthood bearer in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints I have laid my hands on my mother and daughter and see illness instantly stop or reverse, and know that it was done in the name of Jesus Christ, this goes well beyond psychology, just a belief system, naivety, fake or Teflon. But before those experiences of sure knowledge, I had belief by faith and I still have to exercise faith to continue and go forward. Peter did walk on water.
Joseph Smith either saw and talked with God and His Son or he didn't. Same/similar for the Book of Mormon and the succession of prophets to Russell Nelson. The people and church are flawed, with sins and black eyes, just as Moses, Peter and any righteous woman or man ever. You don't have to believe it, Jan, but please do the favor/courtesy not to seek to pull down/against others just because your belief or experience or logic doesn't match.
Russell Nelson and many latter-day saints are of well above average intelligence and accomplishments (I'm not well above average); they are not naive, but humble, faithful and believing.
My opinion, this life is the +perfect+ testing environment/conditions, perfect for testing our faith in God. I find it intelligent and remarkable that God doesn't blare and blast us with obvious, undeniable truths and answers (He certainly could), INCLUDING allowing ALL SORTS of room for doubt, disbelief and moral agency to include the most grievous and serious sins. PERFECT test conditions. Joseph saw and talked; I didn't. But by the power of the Holy Ghost-unique, personal and private to me, I know (I know spiritually; my cerebrum and fingertips/eyes do not know as much as my spirit knows = faith).
One of my favorite Bible verses: "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned" (1 Corinthians 2:14; see also verses 9-14).
Have a blessed day, Jan! I don't have to have met you in person to tell you I think you're great and that I love you!
Seriously jan what was all that babble about. Go cause contention with somebody else! You're embarrassing
Let me assure you, we do believe in the Old Testament. Sincerely appreciate your respectful review. General Conference weekends are two of my favorite weekends of the year. So grateful for our Savior and the daily love He shares with all the people of the world. 💙
Not only that, there is direct connections TO the Old Testament IN the Book of Mormon. Zedekiah, Jeremiah, Mulek, etc.
And the fact that we believe that God talks to His prophets of old, and now.
From the exposure I have had to mainstream evangelical christianity (which was my whole schooling up to my last year of high school), I'd even say that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints give more credence to the old testament than I ever saw evangelicals do. It's only possible to understand the temple properly with old testament knowledge, and much of our doctrine gives credence to some OT ideas that the rest of christianity tends to discard, at least form my experience.
Since all of the construction is happening, a lot of that Old Testament is in those other building that will be redone.
I am Lds Gaborne Botswana... we love General Conference, and appreciate your kindly words.
I enjoyed your video so much! I'm a convert of 53 yrs. I've seen many protest against our church. Mostly I get the spiritual impression to pray for all of these protesters, especially when I get negative thoughts about them. I believe you are a true Christian man! Much admiration to you!😊
Hello David, unlike the “preacher” who has the Hello Saints channel, I feel like you are sincere. I wish you the best in all your pursuits.
The protestors behavior is non constructive only adding to more hate we have today. I am black male lds and joining this gospel was the best thing I have ever done. I like your open minded approach it will lead to more peace instead of the hate, racism and bigotry. You should never agree with hate protesters these are the same folks that wouldn't even be around someone like me yet claim to be Christian.
How do you reckon with the purpose ofthebook of Mormon, white and delightsome, and the priesthood ban?
Well said! God bless! 💕
These people are not Christians.
I am 100% convinced that one can be either Christian or “anti-Mormon”, but not both at the same time. Those two things are mutually exclusive and cannot exist together simultaneously.
The same way I reckon with Black Christian who say they are black and proud.

This good brother takes the high road speaking about his experience attending a few sessions of general conference. I am an 8-year convert to the church. I searched for 60 years for the truth and a church where I felt I belonged. I was a member of 3 churches over my lifetime and for part of that time, I did not attend a church. Satan had his hold on me. I had a life-changing event where I prayed on my knees to God (I had never got on my knees to pray until this one time) I made a promise to him if he helped me out of a terrible situation then I would change my life... he DID help me and I then was on the path to be worthy...I'm so happy for you and watching this take place with you... I used to be one of those protestors, but now I’ve been a member for 20 years. So when I see these protestors, my heart goes out to them because they really believe they are doing God’s work.
So true, think of Saul
What is your story?
Um no. The book of Abraham is all I know and need to know that Joseph Smith was a fraud. The scrolls says nothing Joseph Smith said it did. He’s a fake prophet. May of his prophecies has failed.
Wow that's awesome!
You should think again. You are called to reject what is not biblical. Do not be swayed away with every wind of doctrine.
I am a retired member of the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square. I really enjoyed your video!! Thank you. And thank you for sharing your insights about Conference, the talks and President Nelson! Hearing the talks, feeling the Spirit, Singing praises to God and our Savior Jesus Christ always lifts my spirit and changes my heart.
I also love learning about other beliefs and churches! So, I’ll subscribe!
May God continue to bless you on your journey toward Him.
The Choir is a gem of the church and a beacon of light wherever they go! By their fruits shall ye know them. Thank you for being a part!
My mother, born 1942, joined the church at age 19 but prior to that she loved hearing the Choir's weekly radio broadcast.
Satan is honored like you give.
I really appreciate your educated and kind thoughts as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! I usually find that videos about the church aren’t very kind and are occasionally just false, so this is refreshing and very appreciated. I wish you continued luck as you learn about 52 churches!
I agree 100 percent! This man's heart is revealed by his open reactions and descriptions. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints all my life and former missionary, this means a lot to me! 😅
Mormonism sounding better everyday as they work on to change what Smith said. Now they are imitating a Christian that they are not. Christians gets a bad name because of horny Smith seduced girls married or not. This was his love and not the true God he used the name to sound good. Pure Blasphemy.
Just an FYI for those interested: you can find a *lot* of Old Testament based/inspired art usually all over. However the art that is often displayed in the Conference Center for General Conference or for holiday devotionals is most frequently focused on the given era or "theme" that is being taught most for the applicable time period (this year, the church is focusing on studying the New Testament in church classes, last year was the Old Testament, and next year will be the Book of Mormon)...and the rest is normally displayed elsewhere throughout Temple Square (which is currently under a massive remodel, so we don't have access atm).
I just realized, The feeling of Light, love, joy, hope all expanding my soul while listening to the choir sing was the witness of The Holy Ghost that God is in the details. He loves all His children and delights in those who put their trust in Him.
Thank you again for such an inspiring video! 🔥
Your rod of iron analogy was so insightful. I’ve walked into the conference center passed those vitriolic protesters and for some reason I never made the connection. I always appreciate your humble, honest Christlike perspective
Nice analogy and comparison to Lehi’s dream of the tree of life and the conference protestors.
I liked his perspective on the vision of the tree of life. However, I need to correct something in his interpretation of the tree of life. The words of President Nelson are part of the Iron Rod leading to the Tree of Life, not the Tree of Life itself. The Tree of is Jesus Christ. It’s so important that this point not be lost.
Hahaha, the conference center is the great and spacious building though…

WOW!! Thank you for pointing out the real-life iron rod outside the Conference Center and the Tree of Life inside!! I am a convert for 47 years and I never saw that. THANK YOU!
Great episode!!! I can’t remember which apostle said this but he said something like…”When I meet newly baptized members I ask them why this church? They say there is all this crazy new information I don’t understand it’s like a whirlwind in my brain, but I know I feel the spirit in me telling me it’s true.”I think that is why members don’t feel the need to convince you with biblical knowledge. The spirit is what converts people to the gospel. The spirit confirms truth. It’s why LDS always ask you to pray about it. We know the spirit will confirm it. There is no doubt in our minds because each one of us have had that spiritual conversion. I am so glad you had the opportunity to go to General Conference, many members have never had that experience.
“The Spirit is what converts people to the gospel.”
❤️🧡💛💚💙💜, Amen!
You were very generous and kind about your assessment of my church. Thank you for your kind words. I wish we could all seek truth in such a manner.
In 1979 I attended a Devotional at the Marriott Center at BYU. The 17,800+ seat stadium was packed because President Spencer W. Kimball was speaking. As he entered the floor of the stadium we all stood and a reverent hush descended upon the congregation. Even though I was near the top of the stadium I could hear his foot steps as he walked to the platform. It was awe inspiring.
Same thing happened when PaulH. Dunn. gave his speech there.
Several years ago, protesters were on the sidewalk just outside the Salt Lake Temple. It was raining and the protesters looked miserable. The Prophet at that time passed by, told his driver to stop in front of them, and stepped out. He said a few kind words to a protester and handed one of them his umbrella. Then he left. This is how we, as members of The Church of Jesus-Christ of Latter-day Saints, live. We believe in living like our Savior. All people on earth are beloved children of our Father in Heaven.
❤ Thank you David for this great video. I’m a life long follower of Jesus Christ. I was baptized in Lake Michigan when I turned eight years old - all my relatives are Catholic and Protestant, except for my immediate family which is LDS. I have attended General Conference every April for probably 20 years, but your summary brought tears of joy to my eyes. Thanks for such a nice, honest report. And yes, the protesters just strengthen my resolve to follow Jesus Christ.

@@breezeh1127 See, this is what I believe was missed in the video… Susie's post didn't attack anyone but expressed doubt in the LDS church and you attacked her with an ad hominem by calling her a lazy keyboard warrior. The protesters outside Gen. conference are indeed nasty… BUT, there is so much nastiness and defensiveness that occurs in the LDS side as well. Why not offer an opinion on why Susie is wrong? Why attack her character? If you don't have an answer to her question, that's perfectly understandable but why not just admit it rather than being defensive?
@@jordanpease3329 How about Suzie is indeed lazy. That isn't an opinion. Me stating truth, backed by facts, is not only my right, but my duty.

Susie is a lazy protestor. Period. If you want to do it ..at least do it right. All she did was piggy back on another person's video (not even the full video, but dropping a name) and passed it as her own thought and opinions (without having to put in any thought or energy) and then piggy backed again on another person's comment thread, instead of starting her own. I'd say that ALL fits lazy..by definition. Easy deduction my friend. No effort/energy =Lazy. Facts!

Oh yeah. There is a beautiful garden on the roof of the Conference Center. A stream runs through the garden and it goes over the edge of the roof like a water fall. You can walk right up to the window and watch the water cascade right past the window. You are behind it.
In Lehi's vision, the iron rod represents the gospel. The big building represents the world
Keep Following the Cardinal!!!
Yea! There’s a water fountain right above the pulpit on the roof garden! I think it has a symbolic meaning.
As a member I am so glad you got to experience a General Conference weekend! I just want to add two things: 1) There was a big old testament display in the north visitors center on temple square, but it was temporarily removed while the temple is being renovated. It will no doubt be back again after the renovation is complete. 2) The contrast you felt between outside the conference center and inside it was the contrast of the world and heaven. In a way, LDS try to prepare their members for heaven tomorrow by building it on earth today, which includes both the external(i.e. temples, churches, etc) and the internal(turning our hearts to Christ). The wrestle you have felt since then has been the Spirit of the Lord working upon you to teach you about heaven and how to get there. In other words, the Lord whispering to your mind and heart that the Book of Mormon is true and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a true church. I invite you to keep learning more about it, especially the Plan of Salvation as understood by LDS members.
Amen and hallelujah!

Thank you for giving me new eyes to remind me to have gratitude for the fruits of the Spirit I have so freely enjoyed and possibly taken for granted. Temple attendance paired with mighty prayer and faith has literally placed miracles in our lives. Christ can move mountains!
I also loved the connection you made with the tree of life in Lehi’s vision with the protesters at conference. I never thought of that before, and it makes such perfect sense. The adversary works hardest when he knows someone will find truth and light.
Thank you! As a Latter-day Saint, I'm so used to being blasted by protesters and anti-mormon sentiment. Your assessment was so refreshing and respectful. I really appreciated your insights.
Just so you know, there was a huge Old Testament display in the visitor's center across the street. It was a great display that shows that God always speaks through a prophet.
Listening to you was like a breath of fresh air. Most often when an faith cousin comes to visit an LDS church, their mind is already made up before they enter the door. Looking for what ways they can try to undermine any church doctrine. Love that you brought up the fact there wasn't as much Old Testament Prophets that their should be! I'm with you on that! However, we are thoroughly taught through the old testament, but our biggest focus is on the New Testament, and everlasting Gospel that Jesus brought in His kingdom on earth. Thank you for the amazing, opened minded insight! You can always tell when a person is truly close with the Lord, when he does not carry any hatred for someone with different beliefs. That's how we are all taught in the LDS faith. Respect and love for all, Contention is of the Devil, and is Not of Him.
Elder Uchtdorf (one of the very senior leaders) is the unspoken rockstar with the LDS church. He has an always positive message about God's love. 👍

I started with the Book of Enoch with pharmakeia and it led me to Doctrine & Covenants 89, what we call the Word of Wisdom. I found the Church and converted almost 3 years ago.
In that story about a surgical procedure Russell M Nelson was either an intern or in an observation/training capacity when some staff member botched their role and the surgeon in charge exploded in anger, throwing his scalpel which stuck in Nelson's forearm! He vowed at the time to never throw anything in anger, whether it be words or scalpels.
Our family was taught by the missionaries when I was young. I'm thankful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints. I feel close to Jesus Christ. I'm thankful for his Atonement. I enjoy watching your videos. God bless you
I just wanted to add my voice as another member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and say thank you for your kind words. Many of us have come to expect abuse like you saw from the protesters any time we come up in the media and so the respect you showed was very refreshing.
Growing up, most of my friends were Catholic, Protestant, or Methodist. We had conversions on religion from time to time and I learned that, while there are some fundamental differences, we are all more alike than we are different from one another.
David I hope I didn’t offend you! You do have a sincere open heart and that makes your experiences in learning valuable because the Holy Ghost will guide you. I think that your journey in your 52 churches in 52 weeks is great! The fact that you made so much effort to go and see general conference is awesome. Thank you for your honest observations. Not all who post about our church are truly open or have good motives. It is great that you do have good motives and are truly seeking to learn like Matthew in the New Testament.
I'm the LORD Jesus Christ. I'm back and the LDS Church is in trouble with Me.
Getting baptized in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was the best thing I ever did
Same here. I have been a member for 25 years.
Same here. I get sooo much hate for it (mostly online) and it's really tough when someone brings up something used against the church irrelevant to our eternal progression.
This is my 25th year as well. Life has been something I never would have expected, I've lost friends, I've lost a wife of 20 years to cancer, I've gotten remarried and am now a step father to 5 bonus children on top of my own 4. I've had trial after trial, but Jesus Christ has been clearly present in my life over and over again and I see how He is working to take this imperfect once alcoholic and drug user and molding him slowly into something I never would have believed I could have become.
why? You are locked into a system of always trying please God, all on the word of Joe Smith and guy known as a con artist and pedophile
finally overcoming addiction enough to receive my endowment was the best thing i ever did.
Now i just need to minister and endure till the second coming.
I had the same reaction to the Mormon church and now I am a member you’re going to be a Christian you have to lead by example and that’s exactly what they do
As you mentioned your protestant reaction I was reminded about how many Jews struggled with the new concepts and teachings that Jesus was introducing to them. It's important that as we seek God on our journey we are open to His message and strive to let go of what we see and what we want to see. Then we will have eyes to really see and ears to really Hear Him. God Bless you brother on your journey...
David, I've been following your journey of 52 in 52 and it is admirable how much you're wanting to understand them all. Kudos to you!
We have the best protesters, period!
They never give up, even when the weather doesn't help...I wish I had that same determination to get out of my pajamas every six months to be in the conference center! 😂
LOL! Awesome attitude!
Wouldn’t it be awesome to bring them coffee and donuts or some other kind gesture? They are OUR protesters! They are concerned about our souls and doing what they can to help us. If I make it to GC, I will bring a kind offering to share with them.
Thanks for the insight!
I'm so grateful for your willingness here to ask the questions (in a very honest way) that so many of my dear Christian friends don't want to ask. Thank you for moving into uncomfortable territory. As a member of this church, I sure appreciate it.
I’ve been a member for about 33 years now was baptized when I was 18 then served a mission in Chile . Married now with 5 kids. I’m so impressed with your knowledge of the Book of Mormon and your thoughts of comparing going into General Conference and the tree of life. I would of never come up with that ….lol…if you don’t mind I’m going to use that when I get asked to give a talk at church.
What a cool experience!! I’m a member of the LDS church but to be able to learn from 52 church’s in 52 weeks .. so so cool!!
I am a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. This was so interesting listening to your perspective! Having been born and raised in the church, so much of what you described in this video is normal to me, but I loved hearing about your experiences with all of these things for the first time. Thank you for your kind message. We are so grateful for our “Christian cousins” that are engaged in the work of bringing others to Christ. Throughout your video a couple things that kept popping into my mind…First a scripture in Matthew 7:16-20….”Ye shall know them by their fruits.” The contrast of the protestors vs the love you get inside the conference center, the cleanliness of the building, the structure, and even the enlightenment you felt during conference…All of these things are fruits that testify of the truthfulness of what you experienced. The second thought is that the adversary also knows the truthfulness of the things that were taught in those meetings and he will do everything in his power to distort and discredit.
Anyway, I was so impressed I just had to comment on this video. Thank you for the kind words and God’s speed.
As a convert from a horrific and abusive family. Sexual, physical, and emotional abuse. I’ve been a homeless single mother. I have gone to every church and all of them the following questions:
1. Where and who were we before this existence?
2. Why is there no more prophets?
3. How can there only be one heaven and one hell? Christ states, “In my Father’s house there are many mansions.” How can you say an 8 year old that steals a cookie out of the cookie jar at home and goes out to play. He gets hit by a car, where does he go?
Most told me He’ll. And then I was asked to leave every single church.
But NOT the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Thank you for being an honest commentator. I found peace and love in my belief.
We can just try to be a little better each day. We are commanded to love one another and this was Christ’s last commandment to his disciples. “Love one another as I have loved you and this new commandment, I give unto you.” John 36:13
There is no if/then statement. ❤
I’ve struggled with my faith…not because of anything that has happened to me, but because of things that have happened to people like you. But your testimony helps me. 🙏❤️
As warning, I was the first born in my LDS family, mom converted with her family as a child and dad's converted before he was born. My story is just like yours. Their faith and temple worship and serving as executive secretary and primary president in a ward in Utah did not stop them from beating me, twisting my words and thoughts, stealing my innocence with a, "Do you _really_ think he's capable of that," hiding bruises and pain, holding me responsible for my younger sisters... failure was never an option, regardless of how much they said, "Your best is enough." I am single, mid 30s now. The scars they gave me and that I earned defending my sisters from them and the divorce and forced visitation prevent me from much, but through Christ's healing I am able to talk one on one in job interviews while being nudged out shopping puts me into fight or flight.
The Church is not some haven against mortal evil. Every person in it is just as capable of what we've lived as the humans all around. But my understanding of life's test is that we are to put off the "natural man", the human body, and bridle our passions into a constructive, virtue filled, Christ led life of service, faith and endurance.
Don't be complacent or think that every primary child is entitled to Exaltation because of when and where and to whom they were born. That attitude is culturally called being a "Utah Mormon", where you put in the motions but are hardly converted. We are still humans striving to discipline ourselves into some manner of people. The gospel brings peace, but don't turn a blind eye assuming that everyone who listens to it is pure and harmless. The LDS people are just as degenerate as everyone else in the world, to the point that when I as an adult was assaulted after choir practice not a single person said anything. That being groped and ogled in the halls (I unfortunately look like the anime character Tsunade yet dress modestly) as normal and I was advised to be forgiving rather than to cause a scene smacking hands away or shouting. And upon returning to my former college town and catching up with a former friend at our ward who boasted about her family and shamed me for not being as faithful as she in a thinly veiled testimony of gratitude of how her life went? I love the gospel and strive to live worthy, but when people choose to be humans/ natural men it makes church impossible and unsafe.
I hope and pray you and yours are able to prevent such in your neck of the woods. The Church is filled with imperfect people. Don't think otherwise, and don't let your guard down just because someone went to Seminary.
This is the FIRST truly open and honest view from the outside of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Very in depth, well spoken. Thank you. Bless you for your effort.
This was spectacular. Awesome insight and very respectful. You are one of the peace makers.
I’m 25 and have been a member my whole life. Latter Day Saints know and follow the same Jesus Christ in the Bible. We follow His teachings and the extra revelation given in the Book Of Mormon. I believe it with all my heart.
no you don't. the Christ of the Bible tells you you cant earn you salvation. There is not about becoming God of you own world. Christ offers forgiveness for free without works. LDS has a different gospel and is not compatible with the Bible
I believe they're pointing to the same Jesus. But Joseph Smith's version of Jesus.
@@Jeff_H_the_Guitarist Islam has a Jesus, JW's have a Jesus, even many Buddhists claim Jesus was a one of the forms of Budda, but they are different and not the one found in Scripture.
@@calfox Agreed. I believe LDS believers are pointing to the Jesus of the Bible. But Joseph Smith has changed characteristics of said Jesus. Joseph even has the gall to write new words that he claims Jesus said while Jesus was in the Americas. To that I suggest we look at Galatians 1:8.
Ok so what would the bible Jesus say about the hundreds of millions the church has on stock market?
I am French citizen, LDS member in the Philippines , no Church is perfect , nothing is perfect on earth , but this is the Church of our Lord Jesus-Christ , and this is my choice i ought to respect the covenants i made to my Lord , he has given me so many blessings , since i joined.I love these peoples , and i love you all!🥰
Amen!
Love your reaction. So fair and that you are reading the biography…super cool
