Took me four months to learn that one! Don't lose hope, I believe in u😅 Idk if that helps but here are a few things that I did that prevented me from being able to do it: -closing my eyes when I spin (didn't even notice till my coach pointed it out) -hunching my back and wobbling -not giving myself enough impulse with my arms (when you pull them in it has to be a really strong movement at first when you're not a trained skater. You're literally pulling yourself into the spin with your arms) -spinning on the wrong part of the skate (it helps to balance on the correct part of the blade off ice a bit to get used to the feeling) Another technique that might help is doing it differently The way I was taught, you're not marching in a circle, you are skating forward, then you start doing a slalom and raise your left hand and bend your left leg while leaning on it and slightly straighten the right one while looking at the left hand. You will automatically start going in a circle and when you have done almost a full circle you quickly straighten your left leg, pull your arms in rapidly at the same time and this way you're also getting an extra impulse from your leg, not just your arms. It's all about good coordination between your feet and arms And maybe as strange as it sounds going on a carousel helps too because for me one of the biggest problems was the mental block since the spinning was way too fast for me and I fell purely because of that fear a lot of the time
*also I just noticed that your comment was 5 months ago so maybe everything I said is already irrelevant because you already learned it in which case sorry for bugging you 🤣
try sticking ur toe pick into the ice (the sharp part at the front) and pump around in a circle with one foot. when you’ve had enough momentum let go (put your feet back to normal)and swing your arms in! squeeze tight. the smaller you make yourself the faster you’ll spin:)
While moving, just like she was, you keep both blades on the ground and when you pull your arms in, the momentum gets you going. Think about the merry go round on the playground. Lean back and out, it slows down. Pull yourself in real quick and it instantly picks up speed.
I love watching ice skating and would love to learn how to do different skills and get better at it but I live in Louisiana so it’s rare I get to be on an ice rink sadly
Do you know how do i learn to do the spin I was about to fall then suddenly i started spinning so fast i dont know why but i closed my feet then when i stop i di it again i was shocked because i was a beginner now because of that incident i can do my spins (im so happy!)

put you to pick aka the front on ice and then take your foot and make a circle and spin make sure to put your arms on your chest like she did
