  • Dear diary, were fast approaching month number 18. Me and my wife left the UK and decided to live in Pakistan. We are both dual nationals, we were born in the UK. Both of us never had thought our lives would turn out like this, we wanted to just buy a house, work and live in the UK like any other British Pakistani. Life has taught us that you should never undermine the power of prayer and manifesting the best version of your self. Allahumabarik.

    How wonderful that you purchased books about Rumi and Saladin from the gentleman book vendor. Indeed yours is an enlightened family. I suggest next time you visit Islamabad, you should buy more books from the same gentleman who is doing an excellent job making a living by selling books in this day and age when people have stopped reading books. Our support and encouragement will go a long way.

      Generally, the feedback is that people don't want the food aspect to be too in-depth. So what I've done is I started to do food reviews on my tiktok. So I will include prices on there inshaaAllah

    How nice to treat yourself and your family to a delicious meal! Let us hope one day the working class families in Pakistan earning meagre wages will be able to afford to eat at pricy restaurants like EGGSPECTATION. Enjoy your stay in Pakistan.

      I have tried to share Western food with many locals. Labourers, family, neighbours, etc. They are content with a simple vegetarian curry from a local dhaba. They did not like Western food at all. As I am born in the west, my palate is more inclined towards western food

    • @DollarBill1981
      @DollarBill1981 Před 27 dny

      @@MyBritishPakistaniLife That's okay, mate! Dhaba food or EGGSPECTATION food--as the saying goes--variety is the spice of life. Nevertheless, it is not food, it is the class system we are concerned about. I am a destitute man with no means and every day I eat dhaba food out of necessity. Give me lots of money and I will stop eating dhaba food. I want to relish what you just enjoyed at EGGSPECTATION.

    • @MyBritishPakistaniLife
      @MyBritishPakistaniLife  Před 27 dny +2

      Ok, so it's about yourself. We weren't always able to afford meals like this.
      What helped us-
      1. Recite surah waqiah every evening.
      2. Work hard! (I worked 3 jobs at one point, my wife worked for free for 3 months doing 12 hour shifts to gain skills she needed, whilst studying!)
      3. Make dua for Allah to give more to those who you see have more than you.
      4. Give a little to charity whenever you receive something.
      5. Be grateful for what you currently have.
      Hope things work out for you, Ameen

      Asalaamualaikum brother,
      Alhamdulillah I am a fellow overseas Pakistani who moved to Islamabad in November from the UK. I am also a big foodie. This commentator reminded me of a video.
      Type into CZcams posting pictures of food Usaymi.
      I have also been contemplating opening a CZcams channel but إن العين حق verily the evil eye is true so be careful my brother and be diligent with your adkaar. May protect you and your family and increase you in His favours and make you thankful for them. May He guide you and me to that which is pleasing to Him.

      Islamabad is massive. You have to narrow it down. A house range from £80k in Zaraj Housing society to £2,000,000 in F6.
