- A heart attack left Robert Neal Marshall dead for a minute and a half. That was long enough to propel him into The Light. He had an amazing near death experience which included being reunited with his beloved grandmother. He learned how important his life was in shaping the lives of those around him. After his NDE, he quickly learned that living in the “here and now” was quite a challenge as he tried to figure out a why he was back and what he is supposed to do with his incredible experience and what he learned. He shares his story in two parts on BEYOND with Heather Tesch. Marshall is is co-producer and director of the film "Back From The Light - Aftereffects Of Surviving A Near Death Experience". So in the Christian church I was brought up in my whole life, I've been told that I will go to hell for being gay. Your guest has a male partner. Funny how man made religion puts so much hate and condemnation on people who are gay and pushes the fear factor of going to hell for being gay, yet your guest experienced nothing of the sort. In fact, Robert experienced nothing but pure unconditional love. There was no condemnation or judgment. This was very comforting for me to watch. There was a reason why I stumbled across this channel and especially this video. Thank you Heather for being a beacon of light, sharing all these wonderful stories. God bless you.
You are so very welcome. Unfortunately people often try to say God has certain rules when those rules are actually created by man. People also put a lot of human attributes onto God. All of that gets passed down generation to generation. God is love. He created you with love to be who you are. God bless you as well East Coast Globe Trotter.
Organized religion is full of heresy,charlatans, and witchcraft. Not all, but many. I am responsible for my own soul. That's why I have no faith in any man, only the word of God..
I can relate, Globetrotter! But what I see in Bob's experience (and many others) is that compassion, love, caring are what matter. You are an amazing son of God, and also gay, and that's totally cool. 😊
You’re a loving part of God. The purpose of us being here on earth is to love, to forgive, to be of service to others and to abstain from judging others. You’re not hurting anyone living the way God made you. God is not judging anybody as He /She teaches us through our own experiences, ( the perfect method.) I hope that you’ll listen to more NDE accounts which , along with many prayers asking for the truth, freed me from 40 years of programmed fear, guilt and feelings of unworthiness produced by a belief in many false interpretations of the bible. There is no religion in heaven. I’m a 91 year old great grandmother whose 18 descendants are very spiritual, loving, compassionate and empathetic. Enjoy your life to the fullest, my dear. I’ve had an experience just once, with the purple light and dark. It would be challenging to try to describe but it happened when was asleep and it was unlike any other experience of my life. Maybe an out of body experience. It is a beautiful confirmation to hear Robert speak of that detail. I enjoyed hearing his amazing experience.

What part of Robert's story stood out most to you? I really appreciated what he said about how important it is that we are here on this planet. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this.
To me it makes perfect sense that if God or Whomever took the trouble to put us here He would also have a higher purpose for us, at least potentially and in accordance with our free will. In that regard what stood out most to me was when Robert said his experience helped him to be more who he was meant to be, so it seems God did not just create us and then 'leave us on the doorstep of the world' but works with us throughout - provided we're willing.
So well articulated with clarity, sincerity and passion. I appreciate the honesty, the details and the inspiration this account triggered. Thank you, Robert for sharing your wondrous experience and thank you Heather, for your continued amazing interviews . So well done! ❤
*In 1973 the body I was experiencing was pronounced "DEAD On ARRIVAL" at a medical center... More than half an hour passed, then its heart started beating again... During that time I, "LIFE The Real Self", ( NOT The Human entity ) entered "The LIGHT", and have remained in "The LIGHT" to this day... Since then I, "LIFE The Real Self" ( NOT The Human Body ) to "The Marriage Supper of The Lamb"... I also witnessed "The Birth of The MAN Child", ( which took about seven hours ) mentioned in "The Revelation" chapter 12... And as Promised I, "LIFE The Real Self", ( NOT the human entity ) now resides in "The HOUSE of GOD" !*

@@Beyond_with_Heather_Teschjust to clarify! it reminded me of the part in the movie how Clarence explains to George that because he was never born that he wasn't there to save his brother from drowning nor save the men that died in an attack during a certain battle in www1 or to marry Mary of whom became a lonely unmarried old maid librarian because he wasn't born to marry her and improve her life or to keep the town from being named Pottersville of which the whole attitude and demeanor of the people is mean spirited and uncaring unlike when he was living his life in what was known to him as Bedford Falls where neighbors new each other and cared for each other..
The whole plot of the movie is about making relationships in such a way that everything we say and do is good, loving, and caring for the benefit of all first then ourselves of which sometimes ego and personal ambitions has to take a back seat..
The way that Robert described certain parts of his nde is similar to the plot of the movie "Its a wonderful life" in this manner.
