Corresponded w/ Swamp on this...Heard this in the bar @ the London Hilton-Trafalgar in '06. Absolutely killer on a 150 square ft screen ! I'm a stone Doors fan and let me tell you, Jim & The boys would've loved this totally.
You know, the doors never had a bass player - it was Ray playing with his feet on pedals. This is great. It's what they could have sounded like with a real engine room! And yes... Robbie was alwyas under-rated.
Saw this on a big screen in the Trafalgar Hilton in London in 2006. Far fucking out...love the Doors, knew it be tweaked mashed whatever. huge props to Swamp
hell yeah that was great i love the doors i feel like a dork for just now finding all this doors techno... ive been shroomin all day know after watching that its time to roll ALL RIGHT YEAHHHHHHH
I was meant to be alive when the Doors were i swear.. I'm only 19 and I am a huge fan! and when i saw a remix i was mortified.. but luckily i gave it a chance, i couldn't help but like it! Admittedly i dont want to.. but i do. This is very good. well done edmill. well done.
@edmill After watching this....for the twentieth time again... I want to say I love the audio remix, but the video is really cool as well. It's so futuristic in a way that was dreamed of, but not yet possible in '67. So perfect with the updated sound that I imagine was yet to be thought of in the day. It's so strangely right now, but made of rock history all at the same time. Oh, and when I played Doors records, I had that turntable: SL1500 Technics ! :)
Jim Morrison is an inspirational Saint. He ran at life and life ran away in fear. He scream death in the face and death looked away. He played the bongos on The Grim Reapers testicles and The Reaper winced. But he did it one to many times and fell of the other side of the wall, he is never coming back, but his music and poetry still echo from the other side of that wall daring us all to do the same. Jim had the balls to go where most of us are too chicken shit go, he played cards with death. RIP
I saw this DJ Swamp remix in the Hilton hotel off Trafalgar Square in London in '06 on a huge 20x30' screen A-Freaking-amazing DSG. "Don't matter when you get there only that you do" Doors yee-ahh baby
The Doors can never go crapy, ever. This video is in my top favorites. Good work on the effects. It was totally far out man. Can't wait for the next master piece. T.C.B.
@djswamptv yeah, downtown Vegas, they had it on the LED display on the ceiling. i think its called Viva Vision or something like that it wasnt the remix of the song but the video effects were extremely similar
I was really impressed with your remix of that song. How were you able to, as it seems erase somethings, and bring up the volume on select parts, It sounds like you had a master of the song to work with. I'm a huge Doors fan, so you were treading on sacred grounds, and made things actually sound more like they were suppose to Thanks, The doors used a bass player in the studio recordings.
@AgentJayZ Most of the time, Ray played lefthand bass on a Rhodes Key Bass. They often used "real" bassists on their records, though. I saw the Doors' last complete live performance (Dec.11,1970 State Fair Music Hall, Dallas Texas) and they had a bass player. Don't know who it was.
I never thought I would like a remix better than the original....until now....Amazing !!

The bass line on the original was so delicious... you can't hardly here it because of the drums! ;)
Trippy, man. I love this thing.
You know, the doors never had a bass player - it was Ray playing with his feet on pedals.
