We stand on the shoulders of giants. Creativity is recombining stuff we like into new transformative exciting ideas. Neoliberalism is in stark contrast with this notion. I believe it's why academics, as well as entertainment/arts are degrading under the system. When profit-maximisation is the end all be all, everything goes to shit. Edit: just as an example, when I was doing my masters like 7 years ago (fuck time flies) I wanted to cite a paper that MY OWN SUPERVISING PROF published, but got blocked by paywalls. While I was in the very same chairgroup, on uni network. Well I got fed up. And it all was sci-hub from then on (god bless that russian hacker lady). And pirating has become the more moral way for me. I can't in good conscience, fund conglomerates whilst they parasite off all the artists/creatives/scientists that do the real work. Vas sur discogs et regarde les label hardtrance/ acid hardtrance. Les stayup forever sont de l'avis techno et cluster techno donc rien à voir..
