Between 1&2 was the last album before the renewal of their contract, i remember Chaeyoung saying that Dahyun wrote "When we were kids" as a goodbye song for ONCEs in case this was their last album
omg that is so sad... Thank god they are still together and that this song is so important for everyone now 💙
the fact that when we were kids was written by dahyun who is from the maknae line, twice debuted so young and had a lot of struggles in the beginning... everyone would love to go back and maybe take a different paths but they gave up their adolescense (and jihyo her childhood) for their dreams. At the time dahyun wrote this song no one knew the future of the group at this would have been their LAST SONG so it's like full circle, they had lots of regrets and even if they had this feeling of wanting to go back in time and appreciate those moments even more it doesn't matter, because without that journey they wouldn't the women they are right now... and at the end everything paid off 🤍
also making tzuyu to sing the last chorus 💔dubu is a genius

10:13 Jeongyeon's chorus is the most powerful one in my opinion, I love it so much. She also sings the chorus twice now in their live concert performances which is so epic, you should see it!!
I think I said it on the video, or maybe it was in another song, but her voice is truly amazing, her nice full tone is the best 💙
every ONCE who loves TWICE knows that listening to when we were kids breaks our hearts knowing the background of why this song exists, even though we know that it didn't end as it was initially meant to end with this song, it still makes us sad to think that this could have ended, but thanks to the love that ONCE and TWICE have for each other it will continue for many years to come.

33:04 we don't know...like dubu is super mysterious woman, when the camera is on she seems extrovert but when the camera is off the members said dubu is more mysterious than tzuyu and mina, even the girls don't know a single thing about dubu life
When I first listened to "When We Were Kids", I thought I was listening to MJ's "Heal the World" or "We Are the World".
One of the obvious advantages of a large group is that there are more changes in harmony.
The harmony in "When We Were Kids" makes the song even better and makes it easier for the listener to resonate with it.
It definitely has that feel! It's amazing when they harmonize together! They sound so good ❤🥺

Pensar que este album se hizo antes de Que ellas supieran que iban a renovar contratos, las canciones son mucho de agradecimiento y despedida y dahyun escribio "when we were kids" para "tener una cancion para poder llorar mientras escuchaba y recordar a las chicas" asi como ella dijo, lo hace un poco triste la verda jajaja este pudo ser nuestro ultimo album 😅😢

I love them so much and even if I didn't really start following them until this year, this album was the first one I fully noticed Twice and decided that I was going to follow them!!

The fact that "When We Were Kids" was gonna be their last song if they didnt renew back in 2022. Makes the song so much more sadder to listen to imo. Happy they renewed!
It does... The lyrics by itself are so hard already but if we add the fact that it was a goodbye in a way it's even worse... It's such a good song ❤

28:33 im pretty sure the one in the background is Jeongyeon so this whole bridge was crazy it goes from Mina to Jihyo to Mina to Nayeon while Nayeon, Jihyo, and Jeongyeon is just slaying from the back. Its a roller coaster.

@@naburinabong8902 yes but not at all times, if you listen carefully to the audio, nayeon sing the "only you" then cut it but the "ah's" are for jeongyeon for sure and it's very distinct to hear. just try to sing only you then ah, sounds weird right since the last sound is "u" then "ah" for the next part and try to slow it down, the "ah" harmonize in the "you" part.
@@lewmik nope there is no jeongyoeng in there. That ah part that you are talking about, is part of jihyo line. Do you get it?
