Mice love to party in old equipment. They live in the air box and the exhaust and any crevice. For sleds I’ve seen them eat the long way thru a seat cushion in just a year. They take the foam into the motor or the exhaust and raise young in it. Nasty boogers. Good luck.
Also on mine it locks up when trying to pull start but can pull all the way through with spark plugs out. Be tring to figure it out. Know what may cause this.

Yea I was thinking the exhaust may have been plugged so was just testing.

It will never run without the muffler off with the hood closed cause it cant breath its own carbon monoxide. Plus do it right that sled is a collector

I would lean towards a clutch issue or a very plugged exhaust
@@J-JsGaragethanks! don't have clutch on Ultralight but will check the exhaust this weekend.
Know what the compression should be, I have the same engine but on an Ultralight.
Not sure right off but should be around 120 or above
