At the mercy of poor conditions and limited deer movement on a 7 day grind, Remi reaches a point where patience is left by the wayside and strategic, aggressive offense is needed to close the distance on giant velvet muleys.
Thanks for not throwing in some cheesy ass music to make it more intense. I love the silence. Really adds to the atmosphere
I absolutely respect the heck out of this guy. He shows up to hunt everytime! Puts in a TON of work and MAKES it happen! I also like that he shows how often things go wrong...not just the one stalk that produces the harvest. AND, no guide! He relies on himself to get it done. IMHO, anyone who doesn't respect what Remi does, and how he does it, thinks wayyyyy to highly of themselves. Mad respect for Remi!!!

I moved to Nevada recently, and man I am seriously impressed with this state. Currently residing near the Carson valley. Amazing that nobody talks about this place. OK by me, I enjoy going out and not seeing a soul 👍🏼

So glad I watched this before embarking on my first sambar by bow backpack hunt in Victoria Alps. Having only dabbled with the bow and fallen back on the rifle countless trips, this time I don't plan on taking the rifle at all. Thanks for sharing mate, regards from Australia
Great deer Remi! I have to say I've been watching you on Solo hunter, and you have inspired me to tackle the solo film lifestyle! I just filmed my 2019 antilope hunt. It adds so many more challenges to a already difficult task. THE PUBLICS EYE OUTDOORS

Go for it! Bow hunting is so gratifying. I started last year, and it has been an incredible challenge. Being in a densely populated area on the northeast coast, it also opened up a lot of private property that hadn't been open to me before. Most people around here are overly worried about guns. When I began bow hunting, all of a sudden property owners started saying yes!

Awesome episode. I'm just not a fan of the reenacted draws. We know you aren't saying yardages that loud when you are that close to a buck. You talked quieter when the buck was 150 yards away. My only suggestion is to keep it real. It's what we want to see.
You'd think a longtime hunting "celebrity" would realize the public would see right through this reenacted shit. I've never seen 14 min of video with less content than I did just now.
Obviously you don’t bow hunt. Do you realize how hard it is to kill a deer like that? Then add on filming it by yourself? Great hunt and great vlog
@@nickotten1358 Obviously you dont know me because I've been archery hunting since I was 14. Also this was not a solo hunt. There was a camera man on this hunt. Lastly, I'm not criticizing the hunt. I'm just saying I don't like the staged parts of the episode. They don't add anything, just takes away the realism.
Nick Otten You must not watch many hunting show. Also, how does Remi’s shaft taste? Yeah getting that done is hard but he has a TV show that features him hunting. Either get it on film or don’t show it. I love the trend of guys producing real hunting content these days - failures, no edits, and transparency. Remi ain’t one of them.
@@benfisher1011 I'll be the first to say that I look up to Remi big time. This guy is arguably one of the best hunters alive. Everything he does is DIY, and most of it on public land. Sure he has the TV stuff and has certain guidlines he has to follow, but it doesn't take away from the fact that he's good at what he does. Although I'm not a fan of the staged stuff, I still respect him.

Your scent carries through wind. You do not want to be upwind and have your scent carry into the animal.
