Instead of packing every time you have a flight then you could have one bag packed and ready to go when you get a flight and when you come home then you could make the bag ready for next flight so you always have a bag ready.
What do you think of that idea?
I kind of do this, so I always have a few things always in my bag ready to go but I like to change up a few things depending on the destination ☺️

I really think it was a blessing it was a blessing that you weren't pulled. I would have been frustrated and sad too to have woken up so early and went to all the trouble of getting ready but atleast you got to sleep and rest some more.

We can bit of rosters from the start, everyone is on a rotation. Seniority does play into it but they try keep it fair🤍

Yep, they have a napping room ☺️ you just have to be about to be reached if you are needed

Stand by doesn't look very fun!
Standby isn’t the most fun but, it’s always exciting finding out where they will send you
Do you get paid for standby hours? I’m interested in maybe becoming a flight attendant one day and also don’t know where/how to start.
Yeah we get paid for standby. Most companies have a careers page with openings they have, that’s the best place to start🥰 good luck! 🤞🏼
I don't know how you can be so organised when packing your suitcase for work. I would guarantee I would forget something (and I have done when I was flying domestic from Brisbane to Melbourne) if you ever come to Brisbane, I would love to be your tour guide.
Also I would DISPISE airport standby, all that preperation, and you don't get a flight.
I always used to forget stuff so now I over pack to much 😂 but it all works for me

airport stand-by is so annoying gives me anxiety to know I could be gone for 7 days or none ! unpredictable 0.0
It’s so stressful but exciting at the same time 😂 10 days left for me and then back to normal flying

Not anymore 😂 we always get pulled out now, flights back then were very low due to covid ☺️
