  • We hope you find this video helpful. In this video we show you both of the tent loops in detail as well as showing you the comfort station. It is a little long but definitely necessary in order to show as many sites as possible. Please comment if there was something that was helpful so that we know what to video in the future. If there is anything you would like to see that we did not get please let us know as well. We will be going back to Fort Wilderness Campground in a few months and will be able to video any requests. Thanks for watching :) Please don't forget to like and subscribe. Keep watching for more Disney Magic

    Thanks for taking the time to do this. Really helping me earmark a few sites in the 2000 loop for our annual trip over spring break. We have tent camped in a preferred site in a smaller set up. We are bringing a much bigger tent(s) since we are staying the whole week at the fort this time. enjoy your videos thanks for posting them.

      Excellent. What fun! =) I am planning a 6 nite stay in Dec. Staying in 2100 loop. I'm hoping (from your video) the site I requested, is all I want it to be. =) Pass starts in Dec and plan to go often since I am in the St Pete area.

    We enjoy your videos. Thanks for all the GREAT information. We have reservations for a full hookup campsite at Fort Wilderness in December. We have never been there before. Do they assign you a site or can you pick a site? Do you have any tips or information that we should know about? We will probably rent a golf cart too. Thanks again for taking the time to create the informative videos.

    • @RoadTrippinforlife
      @RoadTrippinforlife  Před 7 lety

      Thanks :) They assign a site when you arrive but if you have a specific site you would like you can request it and they will check if it is available for you. If you prefer you can just take the site they assign and if you don't like it for any reason ( the grill is near the next rv or for any reason ) just take a QUICK look around your site and remember which sites are empty and you would prefer then quickly call the front dest from a comfort station or go back to the front were you checked in and if the site has not been taken they will switch you :D If you have young children they usually have little coloring/ activity books you can ask for. They also allow side walk chalk at your site. The campfire/ singalong is really fun but try to get there when they start the sing along because chip and dale go around and see the kids :). You can also bring decorations for the golf cart if you would like ( garland, ornaments clings ).We have a video "Fort wilderness 5 free activities" which might be helpful. They also have pin trading at both of the stores twice a day but the pin board at the "Settlement trading post " is MUCH bigger. They also have pony rides and a barn you can check out if you would like. You can see the Magic kingdoms fireworks and a water parade at the beach every night :D The disposable cups of soda you buy there have a sensor and you get a couple of refills .Bring your own marshmallows( if you can) and just buy the sticks at the campfire the marshmallows are pricy but the sticks are not bad. Sorry this was so long there is sooooo much to do at the Fort ;) hope this was helpful and thanks for watching

    Thank you for this great informative video. Other videos out there just show a tour of the loop, but does not show the sites. I noticed this was published in 2015. Do you remember at what time of the day this video was taken? Thanks.

      you are very welcome :D we usually get around the campground early in the day :) usually we video the loops in the morning after people have checked out for the day :) hope this helps. I know you didn't ask but we mentioned it in one of our videos. there is a free app it is called " fortfiends" it has a flamingo wearing a raccoon hat. if you type in the site # it will give you the details of each site :) hope you have a great week :) take care

    Excellent video!
    I’m trying to get a loop but which loop is far away form the waterways... it’s kinda scary the fact that the gators are around :(

      Thank you :) in the 1400,1700 loops don't have any canals but you can check out some of the loop videos we have if you want to check out those for a better idea :) hope this helps

    Are the Picnic tables strapped down or can they moved around?

    This is a great, informative video. Do you have a suggestion on a tent loop site that is 1. Near a comfort station, 2. lots of shade from trees on the sand and pad, 3. no backside neighbors. tall order, but maybe it's possible! i will have a group with 5 kids under 5 and we are thinking loop 1500 due to the closeness to the activities. But 2000 looks much more wooded/shady. We likely won't have a golf cart due to the expense. thank you!

      @RoadTrippinforlife  Před 7 lety +2

      We will be happy to check for you :) we will hopefully be back in April. Until then there is a free app that will show you most of the sites if you would like to check it out it is "Fort wilderness sites " and there is a pic of a flamingo wearing a raccoon hat. 1500 will definitely be the best loop for you considering you have little ones and like you said you will be close to all the activities including the campfire/sing along :) We will try to make a video showing the sites that are as close to what you need :) Hope this helps until we go back :D

      RoadTrippin thank you! I will look at the video more closely and check out that app :) we are planning for mid/end of April ;)

      You're welcome :) p.s you can take sidewalk chalk if the little ones like it. They allow the kids to use sidewalk chalk on your site and lot's of kids use it :D

    • @RoadTrippinforlife
      @RoadTrippinforlife  Před 7 lety +1

      Sorry but one more thing. If when you arrive they assign a site to you that you do not like and there are others you prefer available ,just call the front desk from the comfort station or drive to the front desk with the site you prefer and ask if you can switch sites . If they are not really busy or have not assigned it to anyone yet they will usually do it for you :D

      RoadTrippin q. do people decorate outside of holiday season? ex, outdoor led string lights for general lighting on the trees, etc. also, do you think we will be ok without a golf cart? two days, 4 adults, kids are 5,5,3,3 and 1. I know there are a few 6px carts but mostly 4px and not sure we would do 2 carts.

    We are heading there for a week, starting tomorrow- tent camping. Of course it's supposed to rain the entire time :/ but do you know if we can put up a pavillion tarp over the grill and move the picnic table to set up a dry eating and cooking area? and are the sights raised at all to prevent the tents from flooding? I am very excited for our first trip here, but worried about all the rain and how it may affect this long awaited trip. Thank you so much for such a great and detailed preview!

    • @RoadTrippinforlife
      @RoadTrippinforlife  Před 7 lety +2

      yeahhhhh !!!!!! you should be able to put that tent up :) don't forget to double check if they still have a burn ban (since we have finally gotten rain ). You might have to bring your own propane grill , they also have a couple of propane grilling areas at each of the tent loops :) The sites are slightly raised except in the group camping area (big groups churches, boy scouts exedra ) We have not seen a site flood but don't forget when you get there if you are not happy with the site ask to switch sites and they usually will :D hope this helps (We made a video on switching sites if it helps ) Thanks for watching :)

    • @diannaray100
      @diannaray100 Před 7 lety

      I was aware of the burn ban- it is posted on their site at this time, but with all the rain I'm guessing they may lift it. I can pack a small propane camp grill- just in case though- because though I knew about the ban, I thought you could still use the charcoal grill at the site, so thank you for mentioning it :) I requesting a site near the pool as I expect that's where my kids will want to live, and I guess if it's raining- barring lightening, there's no harm in letting them swim in the rain. I am really hoping for some sun while we're there though! Thank you again for the help!

    • @RoadTrippinforlife
      @RoadTrippinforlife  Před 7 lety

      We hope they have lifted it :) We thought the same thing, We used the charcoal grill not realizing you were not suppose to OOOOOPPPPPPS :0 So we wanted to make sure everyone was aware :) We hope the rain lets up for you and your family but i'm sure you will have a great time anyway :D You are very welcome and let us know if you have any questions that we might be able to answer. HAPPY CAMPING !!!!!!!! :D :D
