@@ri3282 The words like Karma and Dharma did exist before Buddha but Karma existed in Pre-Buddhist sramana traditions and Dharma existed in the early Vedic religion, the word Dharma or Dhamma had completely different meaning when Buddha used it.
Not only Mahabharata, but Ramayana, Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and all Upanisads are post-Buddhist doctrines, it has nothing to do with Marxist historians. Mahabharata in Vana Parva has talked about the Buddhist influence, and the word "Brahma Nirvana" which is used in Bhagavada Gita is a sign of direct influence of Early Buddhism. I can give several references to prove them both.
Radhakrishnan's outdated and biased research has already been refuted by many scholars, I can give reference to dismiss his ignorant claims as well. And the concept of re-birth or re-incarnation (even though they appeared in later Hindu literature such as Upanisads) is not their central concept, hence they were accepted due to foreign influence.
Many Hindus intentionally tarnish and target Buddhism. Example- Hindus do compare Japan's local deities with Hinduism. Which is totally wrong. there is not a single connection of these Japan's local deities with Hinduism. But Any how Hindus want to show that their religion has spread all over the world. They can not give one single example who was Hindu saint to take Hindu deities to Japan ? When did Hindu saint take these Hindu deities to Japan ? that time Hindu religious experts do not have any answer? How Did Japan borrow these deities from Hinduism ?
Now days many Hindus use Buddhists Prayer Flags and Buddhists Wheels of Tibet in their Homes and Vehicles, But they don't know the importance of Prayer Flag and Wheels. Their superstition force them to use it without knowing facts.

I had a similar experience just like guruji mentions, after my 10day course i was really curious about Buddha and Buddhism, and i was thrilled to find out more and more about it.
Those people who say Buddha was reincarnation of vishnu they r most misleaded people in the world. We all know that Buddhism is legitimate Indian religion. Atheism is Indian culture, this Hinduism has no rich history of them coz hindu word came from Persian language, its an exonym. Most of those Hindu Gods r Buddha statues which they worship by converting it to their deities. Now after getting repudiated hindus would say, "Our religion is sanathan". Well, first of all sanathan is adjective not noun. Those people who claim it they dont know the difference betw noun and adjective, however they still call their dharma as sanathan. 😂 Even dharma word is buddhist. 😂😂😂 Hinduism is created by stealing Buddhist paraphernalias!😂

I later took a refuge with Buddha dharma. But I highly suggest that whether you're of any religious belief, dhamma and Vipassana is universal . But it doesn't even matter , as whatever brings us close to our true pure nature /knower ! 🙏

As a Buddhist i don't belong to hindu religion cus believes in God also buddhists were made untouchables and lower caste treated bad in hinduism so it doesn't belong to hinduism. Buddha himself started to do like that because of people who suffered because of religion so he started something new like it's a type of atheism. Everything born as Human on this earth should undergo one ten-day Course of Vipassana to experience true Bliss without the aid of any physical object/ppl on the fourth/fifth day. I understood the meaning of the word Bliss for the first time in Life on the fifth day of Vipassana. It was intoxicating. This is my very strong quote.
Intoxication is breaking Sila, and Sila is to avoid intoxication. The greatest danger in Vipassana is craving for bliss and attachment to bliss, it is also Anicca inpermanent, when one is established in Vipassana then there is no aversion to suffering pain and no craving for pleasure of bliss, in this state there is neither pleasure or pain, when one has reached the final goal, it is because one has realised this bliss is the greatest suffering. In bhanga dissolution of the body there is the absence of body pain and the intoxicating experience is referred to as bliss only in the context of the absence of pain, yet intoxication means one has fallen into the great sleep of the unconscious and is not the liberation of the consciousness from the unconscious. Bhanga is simply a stage along the path.... In that your bliss is permanent and you experience no wavering no coming and going of bliss in that it is not temporary inpermanent and your bliss is permanent eternal never ending, so be it.....🙏🏽

That’s not true. I lived in Nepal and India for 9 years specifically learning about the philosophies. There is NO denying the historical ties to each other and even philosophically. How could there not be? Buddha was born a Hindu Prince in the time amongst Hindus in a Hindu society.

I find no difference betwwen Upanishads and Buddha teachings. The self that Buddha says impermanent is just the consciousness. Shankracharya debated, you says he wiped off
Upanisads and Buddha are radically opposed to each other.
Atta or atman. It can be interpreted as self or soul or essence or awareness or consciousness. In Hinduism, atman is permanent, eternal, never change, never decay. It has the same nature as Brahman (the universal consciousness). According to Hinduism, you are not the body you are not the mind (subtle body), you are pure awareness that never decays. Buddha said anatta (non-self). Anatta means no permanent self, no eternal consciousness and no ever lasting awareness. According to Buddhism, you are nothing but changing self.
Shankaracharya was the founder of advaita vedanta religion (innovated version of vedic religion) . He wanted to make an equation between vedic concept of atman and Buddha's anatta. Those two will never meet. Shankaracharya defeated some Mahayana monks that didn't really represent the original Buddha's dharma in debate.
Another misconception about buddha is hindus says that he copied the way of meditations in Hinduism. But meditations in buddhism is very different. And the meditations wasn't originated from Hinduism. The very first buddha was tanhankara buddha and he used the same meditating way to achieve buddhahood. And it was billions of years ago.
Brahmin Dharam has been targeting Buddhism since hundred of centuries.

To be fair, it has been going on both ways. The Buddha himself was a critic of Vedas and priests/rituals and went after Brahmins (who were Vedic priests).
Ashoka himself has documented the beheadings and drownings of tens of thousands of Brahmins across Northern India after he converted to Buddhism.
Similarly, Adi Shankara & Madhvachrya also had strong opposition to Buddhist monks in the defense of Hinduism. However, neither killed Buddhists in large numbers - that was done by the Muslim invaders.
In the end, however, Buddhism had the last laugh in Bharat. Today’s Bhakti tradition has little relation to the religion of the Vedas.
Thanks to the influence of Buddhism, many Hindus (who were beef/meat eaters) became vegetarian.
And finally, a brave warrior people (Vedic Hindus) soon became abject cowards primarily as a result of Buddhist practices like ahimsa, etc. Even the Chinese blame their colonial past to the pernicious effects of their Buddhist past (read Kanti Bajpai’s book for specifics).

I think the problem with all is they always try to compare rather than understand the whole thing. First try to understand Hinduism and its implementation. Whatever finding till now we have are we have understand it in depth, does ASI is doing its job sincerely. Because there are many things Sanathan Dharma, no other religion has these things. Example Ayurveda, Astrolgy, Spiritualism, How to do agriculture, science of it, Biology, Mathematics, Geometry, Artha Shasrtra, Yoga, Space, Time, Vastu Shastra, Months, Days of week has come from Sanathan Dharma, Shastra Shastra there are enormous things in Sanathan, And each individual has is Dharma, it not like religion. And that is the reason its still there and deeply rooted.

Nope, Sankharacarya didn't do it "diplomatically". It is clearly written in the biography of Sankara by Madhava Vidhyaranya, that he took the army of King Sudhanvan and killed Buddhists from Adam's peak to the Himalayas. Please read verse 93-95 in Chapter one of this "Sankara Digvijaya"!

Vedas, Upanishads and bhagwat Gita all are older scriptures than any Buddhist scripture, and in all of them mysteries of life unfolded already..
If so then why only vedas is mentioned in Tripitaka not others because it was later composed and written...

You miss the point, buddha uses Sanskritam in his literature it is not seperate from that same vak bhasyapada ekpada bhoda of virat as described in purusha suktam. Sanskritam was given from sadashiva himself revitalized by panini rishi. budh is made of some of those 52 Sanskritam syllables and budh son of chandra navagraha was named this long before gautam sidharth came as dasa avathara to revive the luminescence of bhudh or sukhabodhi, you only add ism to budh as bhudhism. When ism English can be a doltish obsession i understand your cocauphony.

If I am not wrong there are 28 budhha which took birth and went to nirvaana till now and still more to come..
We have the names of only 6 Buddhas as per EBTs, whereas 28 Buddhas are mentioned in later Buddhist literature which is unreliable.
The only problem I have with the statement
"Buddhism is not a part of Hinduism"
is the coinage of the term "Hindu".
Making Buddhism as an offshoot of Hinduism is certainly not right. But I don't entirely understand the term "Hinduism". From my POV, the term is basically an umbrella term that encompasses the religion of South east Asia. Making Buddhism not a part of Hinduism is basically saying there is a massive difference in between the two. Ideologically and philosophically one can definitely understand this, but in practice for normal people its not even there, the need to go out and about to shout saying "Buddhism is not a part of Hinduism" is beyond me. It somehow contradicts to Budhha's own teaching.
That umbrella term is used basically to establish monopoly of Vedic tradition....in reality Sramana tradition is different from Vedic tradition

Buddhism is a branch of Hinduism. It wasn't crated as a separate identity by Gautam budh. After the death of Lord Budh, It was the effect & influence of pracharks, who begins make it a separate Identity. The harsh reality is that the Separate Identity is always Financially profitable & the separators know this that they directly holds the power after that. They hold the Aristocracy of that particular identity. Not only today's Buddhism, but Sikhism is also an example. They created SGPC & half of their main identity relies on Hindu Separatism...

Untouchability is a social issue not philosophical or religious issue. So no one should intermingle religious or philosophical issue with social issue.
