  • Back at editing my favourite queen!
Some of you may have nocited that I found most of my inspiration for this video in Anne Soshi's latest edit (Daenerys Targaryen's tribute).
It was mainly because I really aim at showing Anne Boleyn's rise & fall and the person who was behind it : Thomas Boleyn. Indeed, he made her manipulate and earn Henry's trust, allowing her to become the queen. But he was also the main reason (with Henry and the Boleyns' numerous ennemies) of the loss of her husband's love, her paranoia, her anxiety , her disgrace and even her death by pressuring her to satisfy his own ambitions and his power appetite.
At the beginning, he was Anne's greatest ally and in the end, he let her down as soon as he understood that the last pawn of his game had became useless.
I really, sincerely think that it's what the show and Natalie Dormer's portrayal wanted to tell us, or at least, this is my interpretation. Yes, Anne was a bit of her own master and owes herself her success, but she didn't lost control all by herself because, furthermore, the premonitions, thoughts and actions she had are mostly based on those words that the song says which are fear, confusion and insecurity. Fear towards her father.
[I’m so sorry for the unwanted glitches but they weren’t here in Sony Vegas and so sorry for some very low voice overs, I did my best for you to hear them as much as possible but if I had turned the volume up a bit more, the sound quality would have been awful.]
That one was quite long to make and to render yet one of my favourite so I truly hope you will enjoy it as much as I do.

Okay guys I understand you have different opinions about Anne's fate, her relations with other people of the English court, and Henry's relatives but this video is only a FANVID which means this is NOT the place to say "KaTheRiNe wAs BeTter qUeEn" or "AnNe wAs eViL" nor the place to spread your hate. You're here either because you clicked to see a fanvid of Anne or because you like her, not because you wanted to debate. This is about ANNE not Katherine or Mary or whatever.
If you have comments, then they should be about my work or about your love for Anne, if you have some. The rest of you who can't understand this are utterly ANNOYING people and from now on, any comments that don't respect this will be deleted.

So it was Anne's fault that a King wouldn't accept "no" for an answer?
It wasn't karma. Catherine could have kept Mary a princess and had a comfortable life, if she had given in. It would have been unfair and humiliating, but she had choices and she chose pride over her daughter.
The tragedy of Anne was that she never had a choice. She saw her brother and friends die, her daughter declared a bastard, because Henry did not want to have any doubts on his marriage with Jane Seymour. With Catherine and Anne dead nobody could say he wasn't allowed to marry again. He probably also didn't want to pay her yearly upkeep.
So no, it wasn't karma. It was a tyrannical King.

@MAISA MENDEZ Although this makes good television viewing there is no historical evidence whatsoever that Thomas Boleyn 'pimped' his daughters. He was already a very important man in The English court. Also he tried to persuade the king against marrying Anne. If you are interested in Tudor history the author Claire Ridgeway has written a few books on the subject which are historically correct. Another good book is the life of Anne Boleyn by Eric Ives who spent a good deal of his life researching all about her life.

gill leaf I really loved The Fall of Anne Boleyn. I read it this spring, reading the day’s events as they lined up with her fall. It is so disturbing how FAST it was when he decided on doing it. I also loved Claire’s prologue. And I admire the fact that she admitted that we aren’t sure why it happened, not beyond a shadow of a doubt, and described the various ways it may have been done. So many historians research what’s known and then push their pet theory and either ignore or try to discredit other ideas. But Claire was upfront about the gaps in knowledge we have about the time and presented the possibilities. She was honest about which path she considered most likely, but didn’t ignore the other theories. It was probably the best history book I’ve read this year. And since I also read A Night to Remember about the Titanic, that’s quite something.

Anne's victory and all she wished:For Elizabeth to become a true calm ruler like her mother, and not to fall for what her father did.
Mary fell for her father's trap. She grew with anger, making her feel like she should unleash her anger on those that followed her.
Anne's Rule was one of the best and greatest rules.
Anne Boleyn wasn't just the first wife of henry to be beheaded nor be the the mother of Elizabeth, she stood her ground, she was a Christian and also a queen of strict and fun on sides.
During while Anne was the queen, the children of Henry got to choose who's footsteps of their parents.
    Mary clearly chose Henry.
But Elizabeth said that she declared that Henry nor Anne was who's footsteps. She would follow her OWN footsteps.
Keep in mind, the choices were never told to Henry nor Anne.
Fun fact about Anne Boleyn:At her crowning she wore a crown fit for a king!

It seemed to me the King was fascinated with Anne. Anne was up for the challenge of conquest. Although, the King seemed to loose interest. When he realized she couldn't bear a live son. His own guilt of sending his 1st wife away. He must have felt it cursed and constant reminder. Anne's desperate attempts to please him also were mistaken for deceit and evil. A bit out of chareter possibly. Especially from what the King knew of her in the courting stage. At 40 something for the King's age at the time, not only being of his status & age. He must have felt terriblely manipulated by what he perceived as a young woman. If she never married him. I bet she would have still been alive in that time.

She may have been cruel, but it’s scary to imagine that you have many enemies and everyone wants to kill you. Any woman at that time got rid of her enemies. The main thing is how much she achieved. I will never forget this woman and I will respect her.

You did a great edit on this. I am a huge lover of the history of royalty in England and have read not only a lot of non-fiction on the subject, but also a lot of historical fiction (i.e. Phillipa Gregory etc.) Anne was a very complex person. Manipulated by her family and murdered by a tyrant. I used to think she was a husband-stealing gold digger, but over time, having gained a better understanding of the world at that time and how cut hroat the Court was, I have grown to love her. Gotta go hit the Subscribe button, now. Greetings from Buffalo, New York!!!
