    • @djoleluk
      @djoleluk Před 2 lety +3

      @@bhaskarpandey6761 Reason number one is that he beats Federer and Nadal on a regular basis for years now and takes away most of their tennis records. Some other reasons are that Federer and Nadal, collectivly and popularly called Fedal get the most of media attention from the western media since they will naturelly support their athletes more. Djokovic is trying to make his own authentic path and is not a type that advertise himself by creating popular brands that Fedal do through joining some influential companies such as Nike. Federer flashy and aesthetic style of play entertains some tennis fans more than what Djokovic and Nadal do, so there is also a bias towards him. There is also a propaganda towards people with different oppinions and attitudes, such as Djokovic. And most of all there is an apsolute propaganda from the ATP against Djokovic since he and some other players have a different stanpoints of how prise money and some other issues in tennis should be handled so that other lower ranked tennis players benefit. So the PTPA organization was founded that Djokovic is part of. There are other things such as Djokovic ocasional anger and racquet brakes on court that some viewer dont like and find disrestpecful towards his opponent, but since some players that are very popular did the same things and are not regarded as "bad guys" of tennis as Djokovic did, its clear that there as huge double standards in tennis. But most of it i think has to do with biased rich western bigots that are in charge for most of the ATP just dont want to see someone other than a western guy finish as the best in history, and especually not some Eastern European guy from a war torn country. Its not the first time things like this happen. And there is also a visual factor, that most people have, and most people judge the book by its covers before attempting to understand the true value of it and look at it the right way. What makes Djokovic great, is that he puts all of the aftermentioned things to the side, and just continues to be the best version of himself that he can be without getting to bothered about it. And that deserves respect whether you are his fan or not.

    It's a noble act for a pro to keep fighting while injured. There's no doubt Novak was injured during that match. His only fault is his expressive nature.
    Knowing a player is injured might affect the opponent's play on court and it's unfair to the opponent because if he wins, the media might attribute it to the injury, if he loses he lost to someone injured. On that regard, a safer strategy is to downplay the injury on the court as much as you can, especially in man's sport, the ability to endure pain can be interpreted as manliness and heroic which are the exact qualities the public expect from top male sportsman. And that's what most top male sportsman do and the public are used to that.
    However everyone has their own way of dealing with pain. Novak is the most expressive one on the court among the top3 and when he's injured, he's letting out all that negative body language. Which is totally ok but the general public is like: if the injury is not that bad, you should suck it up like everyone else, if it's really that bad, you couldn't have won the match, so you must be faking.
    Every man has said 'I just had a stressful day in the office.' when they fail to please their other half in the bedroom. Maybe you did maybe not, so why so harsh on others....

    • @sorinnica3437
      @sorinnica3437 Před 3 lety +3

      That's exactly my thoughts! I have no doubts that he is not faking the injury but the expressive is really disturbing. I am an amateur tennis player and I can say I cannot play against an injured opponent. At any level you start asking yourself different stupid questions like "I can slow down as the opponent will lose anyway?" or "should I make him run more instead of risking shots because he will get even more injured?", ... anyway your game is changing being influenced by the opponent making something else than just playing better or worse.
      This video treat only the "faking or not faking" while I believe this is not the whole point.
      Nonetheless he is one of the best players in the world and I am happy to live in the same time with him.

    In an interview with Tennis Majors, Mouratoglou said while Djokovic had never 'faked' an injury, the Serbian star was not necessarily above embellishing the extent of any niggles he had.
    “Sometimes, Novak plays a bit with the mind of the opponent when he’s in trouble, pretending he’s giving up. And then, boom, he plays again,” Mouratoglou said.
    “He’s done that a lot of times in the past, OK, but he never fakes an injury.”

    Have you ever stop to think that we ask a lot from them? We want them to be as close to perfect as possible. Everyone is looking for the smallest thing to make a big deal out of it. Some of the questions they get asked at the press conference do not make any sense. They almost have to guess what they are trying to ask. There are things I don't like about Nadal, Federer, Djokovic and Murray. I believe they all have improved over time. At first I thought Roger was too cocky. I thought Nadal behaved more like a boxer etc. They have all improved overtime. I mentioned Murray because I think Djokovic and him have the same issue. They could have a total meltdown. They made a big deal out of anything. It was like they actually believe everyone was against them. It was all within themselves to turn it around and make it work for them. I think Djokovic was come a long way, but old habits die hard. He does relapse here and there. I think it is his way of dealing with all the pressure. To do things over the top. They can't keep it all in. Each one of them has found a way to deal with it. They all have meltdowns and they can get ugly. Some can be very costly.

    You make some valid points in this video. However, Novak always seems to wonder why the public don't warm to him, even though he is an incredible talent.
    I think part of the reason why that is the case is because he says things like "I'm not sure if I will be able to play my next match" and then comes out and plays 4 tough sets against Raonic today like he is not injured at all. Additionally, leading up to his match there was conjecture right up until just before the match as to whether he was going to play at all.
    Practically every player carries injuries during a Grand Slam event.
    Compare his behaviour to Dominic Thiem, who lost relatively easily today against Dimitrov and was clearly not feeling anywhere near his best. But he never uttered a word before the match about his condition.
    I think Novak tries too hard to cultivate a nice guy image by being open when people ask him a question.
    It might be better for him to be more discreet. Plus it would be more respectful to his opponents to stop talking about how he is feeling.

      3. Like the rest of the world trying to dissect what Novak does, you are setting him up for a failure when you say that he should be silent about how he is feeling?!? Dafuq wrong with you? Rafa, Federer, Williams, Halep, Andreescu never talked about their injuries? Please sir, take a few seats.
      4. If he ever actually listened to your advise and remained silent, I am sure your comment would be he is not liked because he is not telling us enough.

      Just in this tournament alone, Thiem and Dimitrov lost because they carried injuries into matches, but didn't talk about beforehand.
      Additionally, the whole circus about whether Novak was even going to play or not against Raonic was a distraction which should never had happened.

    Hi,
    Good video, and I agree on the general idea that Novak is not faking those injuries. However I do believe that he is often exaggerating their gravity, and it always affects the mind of the opponent (every tennis player knows that). It is not just me, a lot of players on the tour all agree on that.
    Novak is a amazing champion but Djoko fans have to admit on thing : he has not the natural respect and class that Rafa/Rodger have.
    I do not hear the argument "yeah, people don't not like Novak because he is better than the two others". Well, just look at Rafa, when he arrives on the tour and starts to beat Rodger who is already considered as a tennis god... As the years go by he gains the respect/admiration of all (including me, a big Rodger fan) just thanks to his behavior on the court which is based always on the respect of the opponent.
    On the other hand, you have the young Novak at RG 2006 who gives up against Rafa after losing 2 sets, and who dares saying after the match : "without my injury I would have win"... I mean, it shows the mentality of the man. (btw just watch Rafa's reaction at press conf, it is hilarious but still very class as always).
    Again to me Novak is a big biig champion but people really have to wonder why Novak is less loved than the other two. There are right reasons to this fact. And it is a shame because his level of tennis is just outstanding. If he was just 50% as class, respectful, honest than the two others, then it would serve him a lot (his father does not help...)
    Of course we cannot force Novak to be a social example, but then you cannot expect to gain the admiration of all the tennis planet...
    Tennistic Production you should make a video "X reasons why Novak is less loved than Radger and Rafa" I would like to have your opinion on the subject ;-)
