- In 2008 Sebu and Ryan were fledgling musicians looking for a break in the industry. They fell upon an opportunity to write a jingle for a cola ad and came up with a song called “Safe And Sound” - but the ad agency opted to go in a different direction. Instead of discarding the song, the duo produced a more upbeat version and formed a band called Capital Cities to release it 2011. The track became a global pop smash and earned a Grammy nomination for its music video. Eventually, the cola brand came back around to license the same song for a different ad campaign starring Zendaya.
