    I recently done my 3rd year top up on my e46 m3, fantastic product and it’s so easy to do and I just wish I had ramp access like this. My dog absolutely loves it too, he’s always hanging over the top of me when applying.

    I’ve used Lanoguard on what was already a quite rusty Volvo v50 for 2 years and I have to say there’s been almost zero new rust since despite me living next to the sea. WISH I’d done inside the wheel arches under the arch protectors as it HAS definitely rusted badly where there’s been no Lanoguard. I do wish you’d do a black version as it would look nicer. I even investigated mixing carbon into mine LOL

      Hi, Many thanks for taking the time to let us know your happy with your Lanoguard treatment. 🙂To make Lanoguard black it’s something that would take a lot of thought and R&D once a colour is added it changes the dynamic of Lanoguard, the idea of Lanoguard being clear is so that you can still see what’s going on underneath as opposed to potential covering the rust up, you would then need to mask up etc too, we are always listening to our customers feedback though so appreciate your comment, thanks, Jen

    did you spray wash first between applications?

      Hi, we recommend jet wash the vehicle prior to topping up to remove any dirt grime that has built up and letting the vehicle dry before topping up. We have recently created a video explains how and why top up which you may find of interest - czcams.com/video/ey9bgOyaNBc/video.htmlfeature=shared i hope this is helpful, Jen

    Did it smoke after you applied it to the muffler?

    • @Lanoguard
      @Lanoguard  Před 8 měsíci +1

      Hi, Lanoguard is a safe product to handle and to use. It is jet-wash resistant, non-perishing, non-conductive and non-flammable. It is safe to use on electrics, rubbers, and plastics and even the exhaust issue (meaning when using Lanoguard no masking up is needed). Lanoguard works well on hot surfaces because it doesn’t evaporate. For exhaust it will burn off excess on areas that reach over 450 degrees but not smoke. The areas to avoid are the brake discs and pads, and if going in the engine the fan belt, you can, cover these if you prefer. Hope this helps

    Is there a poit of using this on parts that have already rusted?

    • @Lanoguard
      @Lanoguard  Před 4 měsíci +3

      Hi, Yes, Here’s a little background on how Lanoguard handles rust. Lanoguard won’t convert existing rust per se, instead it will arrest and completely stop its further development. This is due to Lanoguard natural attraction to ferrous metal. It will seep and creep underneath surface rust and create a hermetic seal to the metal below, stopping oxygen and water getting in. Lanoguard will not crack like paint, it is self-healing and is constantly creeping, remaining active to continuously repel moisture and keep it away from the metal surface. Additionally, a side benefit of Lanoguard’s hermetically sealing ability is that over time it will push existing oxidation off. As a result of all this, the surface you apply it to, ends up looking a little better too, over time. When applied over sound surface rust Lanoguard will darken areas of rust and reduce the vibrancy too. The Lanoguard sprays are almost clear when being applied. This result in a transparent coating which is a semi-matte wet look which enhances whatever colour is under it, being transparent allows you to clearly see that rust isn’t forming on the surface, Hope this helps to explain how Lanoguard deals with rust. Jen

    How much are you heating the fluid up ? i found the hand sprayer didnt want to cope with the viscosity of the fluid , maybe it needed to be warmer than i had it ...

    • @Lanoguard
      @Lanoguard  Před 6 měsíci

      Hi, If applying in the cold at ambient temperatures of less than 10 degrees, we would recommend placing the Lanoguard Spray in a warm room ahead of application or standing on a bucket of warm water prior to and whilst applying to aid easy application. Please do drop us an email at info@lanoguard.co.uk or give us a call on 0330 100 1959 and we would be more than happy to see if we can help, thanks, Jen

    No personal protective equipment needed?

    • @Lanoguard
      @Lanoguard  Před 7 měsíci +3

      Hi, Whilst Lanoguard is a safe product to handle, use and the environment in which its used, it’s recommended that a user wears basic PPE such as a face mask and goggles when working on an underbody and applying Lanoguard, being that it often means finding yourself in a restricted space and place of small falling debris and working upside down looking up! Hope this helps
