I made a comment about my love for this song, and particularly, this version, to Maestro Cicero Alves, and he was gracious enough to respond. That was perhaps two years ago and I feel it's time to once again praise this wonderful uplifting song that brings up so many feelings for me. It's uplifting and joyous yet a bit melancholy too. I had the privilege of performing, with the choir, at my church probably five years ago now. Every so often, we would sing it again. So the song holds a special place in my heart and in my soul. Thank you again, Maestro Cicero Alves, for your superb direction of a song that comes from the soul.
