There’s so much competition for 4th gen groups. This baby monster is a promising group for sure. I think they are all great but The one who stood out for me was Asa, her rap has great flow, also Pharita she has a soulful voice, you can feel her emotions through her voice when she sings. Aheon also did great especially in dance but overall all of them did amazing. They definitely had the skills and talent but now i’m looking forward if they have the xfactor, the charisma, teamwork, and their personality before I can say I’m a fan.

@@queeniefortue8937 i’m not worrying at all, im not a fan of era or generation, i’m a fan of a certain music or artist, group or band, what i mean about competition was that they currently active or present in making music, if you know what I mean. So basically they will still compete on those active groups in kpop. There’s a healthy competition but toxic fandoms are terrible like always comparing achievements with their favorite groups from the other groups.

This group is STACKED with talent. I can’t wait for their debut. I really can’t wait to see how YG brings them together in a cohesive song.
I had initially graded each of them in terms of best bias, best singer, Best rapper, best dancer etc after watching these live clips. But having also watched all the short documentary introduction clips of each member, the grading list just got thrown out. All the girls are equally a triple threat. They are all equally highly talented vocalists, rappers and dancers, just with different styles. There is no 1 or 2 or 3. I am completely blown away.

That dance performance was 2 yrs ago that was thai line haven't put in the team yet (Chiquita not even in YG that time 😂) + Lee Jung trains them for yearssss now. Imagine them now 🔥
You picked up on the cohesiveness of the group. The way you figured that out was so interesting to me. That comes to life even more in the Introductions to each member - all are on the Baby Monster channel. Plus how they each got to this point and how they feel about what they are doing with their lives. Really multi dimensional and well done. You're guaranteed to fall in love seven times over.

Love your facial reaction to Ahyeon, Asa, and Ruka (the crinkled nose and squinting eyes) It was like seeing someone take a bite out of a lemon and realizing it was just a complete shock to their system. When I went to YG channel and watched the Babymonster Videos I couldnt believe the talent they all had. Then I watched the Introduction videos and saw how hard they trained and how much they developed their friendship- it was heartwarming. But YG is a family and you see how the people at the Company look out for the girls. Their Unnies (Senpai) are there to give them advice and I really thing it means alot to the girls.

I have a love and hate relationship with YG himself but i wont deny the fact that guy is a genius. He's the master of delay or late comebacks but every time that artist cameback they always left huge impression that's why yg artist are renowned because they prioritize quality over quantity and i respect that
Its Supply and Demand. Run the supply short to create a HUGE Demand then bring them back and the audience is salivating. For awhile now they kept Somi in the YG dungeon and her fans were constantly asking when her next album was coming out. Then BAMMMMM Somi's makes her comeback. YG doesnt overwork their artists, because if they put out 2 albums per year and make too many comebacks the audience gets tired of it. Look at Twice, they are a big group but even the fans get tired of the same old thing. I picture YG doing the Mr Miyagi thing and saying "Patience Daniel-san, be patient... let the koi fish come to you"
the thing about YG/YHS is that he's been out of the spotlight since all the crazy things that happened in 2019. Many people thought he left YG but I was pretty sure he was working underground like how can YG be running without the main YG himself. We had a glimpse of him working background on BLACKPINK's concert and TREASURE's concert but wasn't really in the spotlight and this is the first time for him after 4 years to come out in public and yeah the perfect timing because all his charges have also been found not guilty.

He left his position as executive producer, not as boss/chairman. I blame allkpop, koreaboo for mistranslation of Korean articles. Korean harold and osennewsare somewhat reliable and did rely the new of his position. I think its ignorance and the low quality of information platforms.

These are just their monthly evaluations from 2+ years ago. They just did some post-production thingies to the video to make it more presentable/formal, coz they're actually just presenting in their auditorium or training room.
We don't have footages form the past 2 years. Imagine how improved they are now. 😮

Do not try too hard to pronounce Rora (stage name for Lee Da-in), it is derived from the English word Aurora, so just pronounce it like that. I think instead of 베몬, it is spelled as 배몬. Just sharin'.

I wanna see how the result gonna look like in Western Market.
Culturally, this group are purely Asian.
When among the Westerns, feeling 'Foreign' and 'Comfort' , both back and forth,
surely will be different from Blackpink who give very strong Western vibe.
(and I thought that that provided the extra advantage for BP success)
