  • Part 4 of a vlog covering our multiple month adventure in removing, rebuilding, removing-again, rebuilding-again, a failed chimney chase that was leaking and slowly destroying our home we just purchased. This damage has been going on for decades and it needs to be dealt with. I am far from an expert when it comes to masonry, but I have had some great help and advise along the way. Please check out Roger's CZcams channel at www.youtube.co.... for some great masonry tips, tricks, and professional advice. My goal is for it to look better than the original and while my first foot of stone-work that you'll see in this video isn't the greatest I quickly get the hang of it and feel that it will look much better than the original and it will definitely be much much stronger and weather tight compared to the original! It's a very slow process but a great experience.
In this video we are finishing the install of the Zero Clearance fireplace on the inside and getting the mantle all back together.

That looks crisp and fancy, its awesome to see the stockings hung with care! You sure earned the privilege's of enjoying a crackling fire this year. is you don't mind me asking, roughly how much was the firebox and corresponding chimney pipe?

$2,500 with the fresh air kit, all the pipe sections and the glass doors.
