- Helloooo, it's me again. Sorry it's been so long since the last video- life gets hectic sometimes!
I hope you enjoy this highly requested video on my planter collection. In the words of Craig Milran: "Remember the way you house your plants indoors is a whole art form in itself and elevates your plant pets from humble to spectacular."
This "art form" involves not only the beautiful pots you put the plants in, but also the way you present the plant itself- whether you trellis them, and if you do, the WAY you trellis them; and if you don't, the way you let them stand or trail. I'm by no means an expert but I personally really enjoy striving to have an aesthetically pleasing plant collection. That's one of my main personal reasons to have plants in the first place- to be creative in pairing various plants and pots and to present them in a way that is enjoyable to the viewer (mainly me!). Obviously, 'beauty' is subjective, and I'm constantly finding ways to improve. In the meantime, here's my current collection. I hope you enjoy!

Everything is just amazing but I was wondering which came first! Did you buy the house with all the slight because you had all these plants or did you stop collecting plants because you had such a beautiful place to put them? I wish I had as much light I’m just getting Back into having a lot of plants. I’ve always always had them but when we first got married I had a little over 100 in our apartment. And then over the years you got sacrifice to had some dogs and kids and husbands and kids wrestling, etc. lol but I’m just totally amazed at how, you know every single name and where you got the pot that it is in. I’ve had them for over 50 years now and I still can’t remember half the names lol for my class night gift in high school way back in 1976. I got a little water and can for having the only jungle in our town. I was sort of known even in high school for having, a ton of plants my bedroom was full of them.!😁
So awesome to see your posting again! Hope to see more videos! How long did it take you to get your collection to grow to this size? My plant journey just began this year and it feels like it would take me forever to get to where you are, but I want to!!
Thank you!! It initially took me about two years to get the collection to this size. I’m now about 4 years in and am at a stage where I’m trying curate my curate/simplify my collection to just favorites…
Quite amazing and aesthetically pleasing. How in the world do you manage with plants and kittens, my cat destroyed every single plant within reach unless I’m hanging it 6 feet off the floor. Do you use cat grass to keep them occupied.

I am so curious, every time I see them! With your terracotta self watering planters, do you fill the reservoir when it is completely empty? I just feel like it would cause the soil to be wet at all times so I have been nervous to take a crack at it.
I do fill them when empty! The soil is not wet, just slightly damp. :)

how is everything so perfect? frustrating hah
disgusting cats in the living room roaming around, specially the coffee table, leaving their germs around. I visited a person who had cats in the same way, they took over the house, they were everywhere, and the smell was so unpleasant, she offfered me a coffee and there wa cat's fur inside because they were roaming the furniture kitchen I felt sick and is hazardous no sense of control , discipline.
