When i was probably 13 years old i was listening to Amy Grant and Tennessee Christmas was playing my mom comes into my bedroom and asked me what i was listening to I said Amy Grants Tennessee Christmas my mom said Alabama originally sang this song she asked me what year this song came out i looked on the CD cover it said 1978 Alabama came out with it in 1981 so now every year i play this song whether post on my moms facebook wall or when im home for Christmas Oh the memories of growing up Love it!!!!
Amy Grant wrote "Tennessee Christmas" with her then-husband Gary Chapman and it first appeared on her first Christmas album in 1983. Alabama's version came out in 1985. I'm not sure what CDs you own that are from 1978 and 1981!
You cannot play one of these songs without the other two. The three of them fit together perfectly. I also actually prefer this version of O Little Town Of Bethlehem to the traditional one myself. So Merry Christmas to all and to Amy Grant! Welcome Baby Jesus!

I was given this album on a cassette tape for my 16th birthday. I listened to this album/tape for many years... sadly, I lost this cassette during one of my many, many moves... In all honesty, this version of "Little Town" is my favorite, and I have yet to hear anything that surpasses it. Thanx for posting the complete medley! It´s annoying to hear Emmanuel fade out on the other albums or being interrupted. Same with Christmas Hymn. When something is recorded like this or Snakebite/Baby I´m Burning our bed/Might As Well Be On Mars by Alice Cooper, it needs to be played like it´s meant to be. :-)
