I love the Batman voice
Makes me curious on who is this new voice actor who now plays as Batman since he almost sounds like he's the next Kevin Convoy.
@@BladeMaster4Ever9000 it's Hamish Linklater
He almost sounds like a young Kevin Conroy.
He was actually cast for his performance as Bruce Wayne so if his Batman voice is this good imagine how good his Bruce Wayne will sound like
Me too
The Batman can never not be a badass
He's just fuckin dope af
That’s literally his whole design is to strike fear and look badass
Batman doesn't reconcile with criminals

A new Batman animated series with Bruce Timm and Matt Reeve involved? Yes!
And Thank you Amazon Prime for green lighting this show!
I'd have preferred Paul Dini taking the lead writer role, Timm can be biased af
@@falconeshieldbiased like what exactly?
@@falconeshield Timm isn't the lead writer. Ed Brubaker is. Timm is just the showrunner/producer. He puts people in positions to do what they need to do. He hired Brubaker.
But go on..
I love Paul dini writings but this one sounds fantastic too even the voice is great and the music I'm chilled
Honestly whoever wouldn't greenlight this kind of project is an idiot
@@yoboimichproductionsinc.2948 HBO originally greenlit this, then once WB took over they cancelled it. Amazon saved it, saying they would put up the money to make it as long it as premiered on their platform. Basically WB just made more money selling this show to Amazon than they would have if they produced it and dumped it on MAX.
Show looks great. Just goes to show Batman: TAS is the greatest cartoon ever. RIP Kevin Conroy
Bruce Timm is still alive 😂
Bruce timm is making this show😂 do you mean Kevin Conroy?
T.A.S was supposed to be like this but they had to dull it down for kids.
Hearing that voice was all I needed. He’s no Kevin Conroy, but he’s a worthy successor to keep the legacy alive. I’m sold

You’re sold on the Jester. Way to simp!
It’s kinda wild how both X-MEN and BATMAN premiered the same year back in 92, now again! History is cyclical!
What if 2, My adventure with Superman and many more 🤗
Don’t forget we’re getting a new Spider-Man series this year too and a new TMNT.
@@eduardobalbuena3887 Oh I wish its voiced by Josh Keaton
Yeah and both of them made changes that fit with modern political checkboxes.
I like the design of the Batman suit in this
It mirrors Batman’s first ever comic appearance from back in the 30s

We got The Batman from 2004 though?

@@PhoenixEditsRT I'm being real with you, this show definitely isn't for this generation. This looks 15+ by the look of things. They can get BTASM and The Batman 2004 though since that's a little less violent then what this is looking to be

Never thought I would see the day a Batman show premiering on Amazon prime instead of Max.
What a timeline, huh?
Yeah, Zaslav be wildin'.
I assume its the discover ceo doing. hes wants money so selling off all the shows onto other networks
But why? Why Warner Bros. decided to put this series on Prime Video instead of Max?
It worked well when they put “Merry Little Batman” last year on Prime Video. They’re then going to put “Batman: Caped Crusader” in August. If this is going to be a successful series, then WB might put future DC-related content in Prime Video.
@@AxsorXI If you know anything about modern WB rather than get people excited with old directors or classic art styles. WB kept My Adventures with Superman because it could appeal to a “new audience” Caped crusader is a classic DC batman cartoon which WB, doesnt want. It’s ridiculous. Did you know they removed 30 DC titles off max? Including mask of the phantasm?
This was awesome
Batman's Detective Side being Explored
Multiple Villains from his Rogue Gallery
Him being properly treated like a Vigilante
It is what I want from Batman ❤❤
The reason he’s not treated like a vigilante anymore is because he worked his way to be the hero people rely on.

And they fucked up every single one, simp harder
Retro Batman was such a good choice for this series.
Wouldn’t say retro it’s mor like a classic mixed with modern show.
@@tessafroese992Not sure what you understand as "retro". This is retro because its set in the time when Batman was first created. It could also be described as classic, but that's a separate thing.
@@pedrovallefin8406 haven’t you noticed the change to some of the characters?
@@tessafroese992 You mean their designs? Characters like Harley and Catwoman look more classic, but whats retro can be seem in Batman demonic looking horns, drawing from his original design, and Alfred looking more like hiw he was when first introduced instead of how he's usually portrayed nowadays. Again, both "classic" and "retro" aply to describe what they're doing with this show.
In me head I can hear Kevin Conroy's Batman voice R.I.P Kevin 🕊️
Very good Kevin replacement. He has that raspiness from the 1993 season. And a bit of Crisis on two earths/Battinson in there too. RIP KEVIN CONROY.
Anyone interested in the music its called "Sicilian Defense" by Rok Nardin!
Thankyou
THANKS!
Thanks.
Thank you!
My hero
Thank you Amazon for saving this gem
Now this looks pretty good. And the new Batman's voice actor is good to voice him. It seems Bruce Timm made another good job. Nice!
I am actually so down for this.
Onomatopoeia being a main villain in a Batman series. I am with it. I was so sad that we never got him in Live Action proper when Arrow still ran as he was a villain specifically created for Oliver Queen/Green Arrow by Kevin Smith. I think this is the first time we will have ever gotten him in any type of motion picture. His gimmick is to make the sounds of weapons he uses to kill his victims.
Onomatopeia was a main villain in season 3 of Superman & Lois. You shoud check it out. Great show.
@@1000plo Really. Was he actually done proper? I had no idea.
@@1000plo I just watched the compilation of her in that show. It was definitely cool but also not what I expect out of an actual proper rendition of the character. Onomatopoeia is a far more grounded character to me who is more like Hush and The Question. Not meant to be super powered or a meta human. Part of the menacing part of that character is the motivation is more personal than what they showed in Superman and Lois. Perhaps because that character is far better for other grounded characters like Batman and Green Arrow who the character was specifically created for as a primary antagonist.
@@bryanmahoney3434 I think she was a good character in that show. But also, I haven't read anything in the comics, so I can't compare 🤷🏻♂️
The New Batman Voice as actor killed it. Hes Heir to conroy.
At first I didn’t like hamish linklater. But now, wow.
Have you seen Legion?
" Probably, but now they all know I'm coming for them." YES
Yes finally I’ve been waiting for this sad Kevin Conroy couldn’t have voice Batman based of the OG Batman series’s. Even though this is a younger Batman still you know what I mean still I’ll enjoy this
You know what I wish for now? that his legacy will live on With us and hopefully they can find the right person to fill those wonderful shoes 😊 rip kevin conroy.
@@imtrippedout Kevin will always be the voice of Batman to me. All the other voices I’ve heard are good but Kevin Conroy is The Batman voice to me he was taken too soon. Just like JDF takes way too soon whenever Batman Day comes around I’m adding Kevin to it now Batman Day is his day
@@shadowspidey7327I like how they brought in Diedrich Bader (TBATB Batman) as Two-Face for this series.
@@omarcogle1965 Yeah
I think the idea of a cartoon series set during Batman's golden age is a really cool idea. I like how it's using that settings version of classic characters like Catwoman and Clayface, but also using it to reinterpret newer characters like Harley Quinn and Onomatopoeia.
And on the subject of Onomatopoeia, as a Green Arrow fan, I'm both happy and frustrated that he has a villain so cool that he's been stolen by both Batman and Superman.
The Arrow show stole 90% of Batmans villains wtf are you on about 🤣🤣🤣 if he was such a great villain they would've used him in Arrow 😂
@@benshabaan Not sure where this random hostility is coming from. You must be a Star Wars fan. Well whatever you are, thanks for telling me to mute you.
@@benshabaan Onomatopoeia first appeared in Green Arrow #12. Do your research before commenting something stupid.

Yep, We're Back🦇🔥
And Gordon's black.
Good voice. Definitely channeling Kevin Conroy. RIP
Fun fact: Batman's actor here is the son of the vocal coach, Kristin Linklater. Who trained the likes of Sir Patrick Stewart and many other Hollywood greats.
We're so back
1:00 you got my attention
Wow, this looks amazing! I’m so glad the 90s style animation is coming back in “Batman: Caped Crusader” - gives me nostalgic vibes from “Batman: The Animated Series” and I’m looking forward to seeing this. Plus, this will premiere on my grandmother’s 83rd birthday!
As excited as I am for this show, the style is not the same as BTAS. It may remind you of it, but it is most definitely not the same style.
I know one thing for sure Amazon is killing it with animated superheroes lately 🔥🔥.
This looks REALLY fucking cool and unique, while also staying true to the soul of Batman. I can’t wait for this. Timm’s been cooking again.
I'm not much of an animation fan but I'm as hyped for this as I was Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. In Matt Reeves we trust.
"but now they will all know im coming for them"😢
This looks good! I like the late 1930s/early 1940s pulp hero vibe going on here. They've taken Batman back to the beginning, when he was a lot more influenced by characters like the Shadow or the Spider. They should have given Bats back his guns from his earliest appearances though. We just need the Mad Monk and his vampires fighting Batman now. 😃
i was thinking the same thing. hopefully there is an episode where he uses them.
He's no Kevin Conroy, but Hamish Linklater's Batman doesn't sound so bad. Hope this series does the same justice that Batman: The Animated Series has.
Kevin is resting. He has done a phenomenal job. I'm more than happy to know there's qualified successors to take up for him.
@@Mister_Jay_Tee True. Roger Craig Smith is one of them as well, since he voiced Batman in Arkham Origins.

That Batman voice sounds a Lot like Kevin Conroy...LOVE IT
Hamish Linklater sounds great as Batman. Definitely Kevin Conroy inspired, but still doing his own thing with it. Looks great!
Oh heck yeah! Batman is back and he's more awesome than ever! Also whoever voiced Batman in this show, he did a really good job! It reminds me of how Kevin Conroy used to voice Batman before he passed away. Oh wait, Hamish Linklater is voicing Batman in this show?! That's cool! I never heard of that voice actor before, but he did amazing in this trailer.🤩😮🌃🦇
It has returned. The old school style.
Still somewhat wish this could be a counterpart show to My Adventures With Superman on HBO Max (they've decided to call their big originals HBO Originals instead of Max Originals starting next year, so I think we can go back to calling it HBO Max now), Adult Swim, Toonami, or Prime Video, but otherwise, YAAAAAAAASSSSSSSS
Well Batman and Superman crossed over with each other in the 90s, so why not?
@@MacUser2-il2cxidk bout that since MAWS prolly wont crossover with this show. Thinking it’ll probably get its own version of Bruce instead of this version on Amazon Prime
@@MacUser2-il2cxdifference is that this is set way before even MAWS as MAWS is more so modern
A Superman show with a 1940s aesthetic would’ve been cool
I could not even mention the two shows with the same breath. That show is a shallow anime ripoff with very flawed characters centered on romantic drama.
Penguin was my favorite part. He looks so awesome.
apparently penguin is female. I hope this is just a rumor.
@@yoamoadiosfull I hope to GOD that isn’t the case.

Have you ever seen the 1992 animated series?
@@AmusedCoffee-ym3gb yes, I mean animation, the vibe is 1992, true
Some of the designs of characters like Catwoman, Firefly, Fwo face, and even Batman look like the original ones from the first generation of comics. Not only that, but this animation and trailer is just like the original Batman series. Dark and edgey, I like it. 🦇
Batman: Caped Crusader is the Noir Batman I needed after The Batman! This will be peak for DC Animation after My Adventures With Superman!
He’s got a great Batman voice. This is gonna be a dope series.
Man no matter how many media batman has , i just can't get tired of this iconic character ❤
I was pretty skeptical about his voice with that little voice over tease we got a few days ago, but that's been put to rest, because it totally works in context. Good god, does this look awesome! I can't wait.
I still miss Kevin Conroy 😢 He was my favorite Batman actor when I was a kid. I watch all of the animated Batman series and even played the Arkham Games. It still hurts 😞 to see him gone.
I wish the animation was as crisp and fluid as the Strange Days short. Just goes to show how much 2D animation really needs a comeback.

Gotta love a batman series going the full noir route
There's still a void since Kevin Conroy isn't around to voice Bruce Wayne/Batman anymore.
This new voice might just be a little better for this version of the character
As much as I love Conroy, and he was my favorite Batman voice, he wasn't the only actor to voice Batman.
meh, conroy was so overused for almost 30 years. by the time the last arkham games, he sounded bored and his batman was stiff and emotionless.
I think we're overdoing it with the constant mention of Kevin Conroy
@@everburn Never. NEVER that man deserves all the praise He put his fucking heart and soul into voicing Batman so no
I will admit when I first heard about this show I didn’t care for it but now, it looks insane!!! It’s the original comic with new storylines, new and old characters returning, and a new incredible Batman voice, RIP Kevin, I cannot wait to see where this series leads
Knowing amazon... brace yourselves for a shit load of ads in each episode.
I would have loved jensen ackles as batman but everything else is amazing.
This looks like it’s going to the 21st century’s answer to Batman the Animated Series! I’m so stoked!
I can’t wait to see it on prime
This actually looks incredible. How could it not be with who all is behind the project.
Surprised they didn't change his name to Batperson.
I love the voice. It sounds like Robert Pattinson Batman.
Well, Matt Reeves is involved so i wouldnt be surprised if it's on purpose, the voice definitely sounds like Kevin Conroy with some of Robert Pattinson mix into it, but then again, you can see many influences from BTAS and The Batman in this trailer (which is logic considering who'se behind this series)
Hamish Linklater never came to mind for Batman but his voice is perfect
Now THIS looks like a true successor to BTAS! Love the Golden Age 1940s vibe we’re getting too.
Nah nah this gave me chills 1:34, we found the successor to Conroy boys
Whatchu mean thoooo. Forreal. Haha 👍💯
Looks ok. I like Catwoman in her older purple dress. Also, 1:28 - is that maybe Clayface? One of my fav Bat villains.
Beyond ok, looks very good and sounds very good too.
0:10 and 1:30 is Golden Age Clayface. 1:28 is the one character I have no idea who they are. He does have a Silver Age Clayface vibe, but it feels too soon with the other one present. Probably one of many disfigured evil scientists instead.
@@twincast2005 Thanks. I'm used to Matt Hagan and Preston Payne. I think the Mudpack arc is the only story of his I've read with his pre Hagan powers (I think he injects himself, but its been a while since I read it).
@brion0220 I did just have an epiphany that 1:28 could be not a "real" scientist, but on a horror movie set, in which case it would fit perfectly for Golden Age Clayface Basil Karlo. IMHO an odd choice to show two different visuals for him with no transition between, but plausible.
@@twincast2005 Naw that's clayface who is probably disguising himself since in the 90s batman cartoon he could transform into other people.
Two Face looks really unsettling with his scarred side having the same skin tone as his normal half. Definitely amps up the creep factor. Clayface in his original golden age version as a deranged killer who’s a master of disguise without the usual superpowers is top drawer as well.
Looks really cool, i hope that the show will be great

This is a throwback. I love the way they are taking Bruce Wayne/Batman back to his roots. Looking forward to this one.
The animation and style reminds me of Batman The Animated Series 1992. Im ALL in
I did not expect Golden Age Alfred of all people. Love all the OG Golden Age designs in general. Still uncertain whether the GA-ified Modern Age characters will ring true, but I for one am excited. (And add Robin in season two or three, please.)
Harley in unsurprising given how Bruce Timm co-created her...And no one expected her to be so popular the first time sooooo.
What's going to interest me is seeing if we eventually get the likes of Freeze and if so are they gonna go the more classic route from before Heart Of Ice?
Amazon has been killing it lately with the cartoons
Invincible, Hazbin Hotel and now this yeah they're going crazy right now.
Honestly, the new voice doesn't sound that too different. it's definitely a few octives higher, but since he's meant to be younger, it makes sense 👌🏾

This part sounds SOO much like The Batman (2004) opening theme. Wow.
Can't wait for this show to come out.

The Jar Jar Abrahams involvement took my anticipation from an 8 to a 2 real fast
Hopefully he’s not that much involved considering the power house Bruce Timm is and how competent Reeves is.
Last time I check jar jar was a Lucas creation not Abrahams; bad example. 😮 😮 😮 😮
Thanks for informing me. This honestly doesn't excite me as much as it seems to others. Just kind of feels like it's the same old thing. The 90s show already had a retro feel back then, and now it just feels like a slightly grittier rehash.
But knowing Jar Jar Abrahams is involved that pretty much sealed the deal for me. Anything he touches is massacred.
It's awesome that Timms brings the new and revamping the clasiscal villan stories also! Man, a lot of these episodes are gonna really bring us back home!
Holy Hamish’s Batman voice sounds insanely close to Kevin’s!
I wonder if the joker will no doubt be Troy Baker who’s a younger Mark Hamill 👀
This Batman is awesome and badass
I'm fascinated by this new voice of Batman. It almost makes their resemblance profound by achieving Kevin Conroy in that very essence. And in fact he does it with great skill!
The new voice Batman character reminds me of Kevin Conroy, RIP sir. I look forward watching the new show, I wonder how long it'll keep playing the show out of seasons. I'm sure it'll make Kevin Conroy very proud, something to bring back old memories from our childhoods and thinking of saying this.
