Here’s my from-scratch remake of “Training In Speed” (the shark song) from the MNOG II soundtrack, in ultra high quality since the original was so badly compressed.
Anyone is free to use my remake in their games or projects/media, just credit me for this version :)
Original track was made by Justin Luchter, MNOG soundtrack composer - Hudba
that pluck sound took almost 6 hours to figure out but i'm really proud of how it turned out (its called we do a little FM synthesis)
I know how sometimes recreating something supposedly simple can be a pain in the ass! Glad how it sounds. I'm very happy to see your passion, let's keep the Bionicle alive!
What's next?
Thank you so much for remaking these songs and for the enormous effort you put into them! You are awesome! :3
What do you think Templar used to make it in the original?
@@Chronicler177 probably just found a cool preset in a soundbank or tweaked one. but it was definitely either a synth or sampled from a synth. you can get really organic sounds with FM modulation
When the DJ allows requests at the club
The fish loves the bop so much it's dancing with the rhythm of the music.
This is going into my silliness playlist
Doing the Lord's work with these remakes, just superb!
First you have me dying of laughter with memes that could cure manic depression, but now you're remastering these bops from our childhoods?! You're a godsend, good sir! 😂
I really love this track of all the MNOG tracks.
Essenger unlocking our childhood memories with each remaster, it's kinda poetic in a way, like a remastering of those memories at well 😊 Thanks Essenger!
Theres a special soundtrack from MNOG for me called "a walk in the jungle", it has the classic bionicle mistery vibes, but i've never found and HQ version of it or an extended one that gaves extra seconds of just the vocals (like the version used by emily animations), but i'll let it up to you to check the song and see what do you think about it
I have the full length track for the in-game Le-Wahi music on my channel, including several minutes of just the vocals at the end. It certainly could benefit from Essenger's remastering, but this is probably the best recording you'll find for now.
@@VezonWireless omg its true! thanks a lot bro !!! you did a really good job, its exactly what i wanted, this is gonna help me a lot when im studying, thanks a lot again, your video feels like ive just found gold
Yeah I'd love for that one to be next.
I will just say though... This "A walk in the Jungle" is better: czcams.com/video/Ur_nV50Q2j4/video.html
It warms my heart that someone of this caliber is making these tracks sound how they felt while playing MNOG decades ago. Beautiful work.
Now THAT'S the true power of Serum. Keep it up, Essenger.
WE WAKING UP MATA NUI WITH THIS ONE 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
I like to imagine one of the Barraki or something looking up at that little guy deeply confused as to why it's swimming in place between brief bouts of turning around.
So simple and yet perfect. Nostalgia for a game I had not played (I played VNOG though and man, playing it last year unlocked some core memories)
I'm currently trying to translate the whole game into german and play it every once in a while, to check if it works and sometimes just for fun.
I think I only finished the game once, because the whole "train so you have a slight chance of winning" was always way too annoying for me XD
I know there is some mechanic behind this with the levels being high enough to win easily, but man I always forget how much you have to grind for this game.
Sorry for the rambling about old memories, you did great a job XD
It already exists in German though
@@Draezeth Really? Where? Never found it. The first MNOG exists in both german and english, but not MNOG II
The levels are supposed to be 10 or 100 times the value(I forget which). If you modify the value, it becomes kinda possible(though still really hard), and you can't even grind enough to get there, as after like 10 times in an unmodified version, you just stop being able to catch up to the Takea, no matter how many air bladders you use.
@@justsomeguy5628 yeah I'm not even sure anymore how I beat the game back then, coul be that I modified the values maybe, but can't remember. I only remembered I actually trained a lot
@@bestshadow6585 I know! I feel like I got really far into the game, long before finding out how to modify values. Maybe I just didn't beat a lot of the matches, but was still able to move on?

All these tracks make you really appreciate how good the original was back in the day.
Absolute banger, great job. I would love if we could get a HQ version of Vakama's Talk.
Really makes you _feel_ like a 12-year-old learning what carpal tunnel is for the first time.
What a cute biomechanical fishyy!! 😊❤❤❤
Dope sound!
That's a shark

That bionifish be vibin'
Oh shit, another banger. Woo!
The MNOG remasters are always fantastic. Now compress it back down and see how close it sounds 😂
I’m not even kidding I do that as an accuracy test with some of them lmao
I feel like the orchestra hits are supposed to have a deeper bell sound that plays under them
This funky tune would mashup well with the Theme of Chao music from Sonic Adventure 1.
it sounds great but i don't feel that underwater echo that i feel in the original, specifically for that sound that pops up now and then. the beat is imitated perfectly
ive noticed that some of the ambience in the mnog tracks comes from artifacts generated from the heavy file compression, echo and reverb kinda get squashed and held out a lot longer, i might try to compensate for that in future tracks
i like to play some beach sounds in a different tab. underwater sounds work great too. there are some amazing noise recordings on youtube.
I dont know if youll make more or not, but I would love a remake of the Po-koro sickness theme. The creepy one before its fixed.
Would you happen to know or know anyone trying to recreate the soundtrack from the spybotics game? Like this sounds so exact of what it would’ve been in high quality back then, I’d love it if someone gave the same treatment to the spybotics game.
What software do you use for editing and synthesis? I have more than a mild curiosity in this stuff and would love to learn how to get started with digital music making!
