This is super realistic with the stuttering and nerves. This is exactly how I was when I was being tested, was so nervous.
same haha
The golden god doesn’t stutter…
Before giving nitro always ask if they took any sexual enhancements in the last 48-72 hrs. Then make sure you do a sample spray away from you and the patient to make sure it is working properly. Don’t give if systolic pressure is below 100.
Also make sure the patient isn’t allergic to any aspirin.
Don't forget head injuries
ITS VERY GOOD BUT BEFORE YOU GIVE THE ASPRIN YOU MUST ASK IF YOU ARE ALLERGIC TO ASPRIN BEFORE GIVEN IT
Beautifully done.
Thank you Em!
Thanks these are helpful. question as to why he didn't check his monitor during Circulation when he noted pale cool clammy skin and chest pain? was it due to stable pulse rate at the time?
Good question JK. Definitely something to do for the field. Our student was going right off the skill sheets for the NREMT exam.
Should he have treated for shock in the primary assessment?
Very informative and good teaching
Thank you!
He didn't check for contraindications with the medications but otherwise I hope I do this good
Good video
good vid, but shouldn't he have treated her for shock after seeing her skin was pale and cool?
You wouldn't be marked down for that if you explained why you were given the impression she could be experiencing shock.
Doesn't the pt need to have a prior prescription of NTG to administer that medication?
yes
very informative, thank you
Thanks Ramon!
He is Cool
So I have a issue with. This if he finds a life threat chest pain with skin vitals like that shouldn't he do a full cardiac work up in scene to find and fix the M.I. ?
Hey Kevin, we're teaching students how to pass the NREMT medical assessment skill station. There is a strict set of guidelines that must be followed. Your comments are not incorrect. However, our student must follow the skill sheets verbatim. Remember, this is not a full EMS call from start to finish, just a small blurb. Doing what you've mentioned is awesome for the field. Unfortunately, there is a dichotomy between the skill sheets and the "real world."
EMTprep it's just I'm currently in paramedic school and we are tested on the same skills sheet and I just wanted to know what I've been taught is according to testing for national skills
If you verbalized to the proctor what you found and why you're choosing to treat it the way you have listed you will be fine. The point is, the proctor needs to know what you're thinking and why you're choosing to treat conditions a certain way.
wow !
Doesn't he need an IV prior to administration of nitro?
Hey Matthew, per the skill sheet, yes, however, that is not something required on the NREMT skill sheets.
Patent airway, alert patient. Sublingual works.
MONA. Diesel.
this guy sounds just like Jesse eisenburg lmao
