Amazing puppetry. I was 7 when Jurassic Park came out, seeing this would have blew my mind.
Too bad people in the video and in the comments are killjoys with no sense of wonder.
Bloody beautiful piece of puppetry/costumery/acting. It's the rippling that gives an impression of muscle, the swaying of the tail, the posture and proportions of the creature as well as the terrifically in character actor that make it seem so real. You can honestly ignore the human legs and that's a dinosaur lol I make the odd costume but nothing that gives such a good impression of being full of life (and mischief)

When wearing that costume, how could you resist the urge to fuck with people? When the dinosaur bit that girl's head, I LOL'd. :D

Well,I was grinning like a kid at christmas watching this,lol.Which is more than can be said of the vast majority of the crowd experiencing this display.What a great educational tool for school-kids rather than some boring book.Ok,books aren't necessarily boring,but you get my point.I guess some folk just were having a bad day that day!

This would work really well in a movie. All they have to do is digitally remove the legs in post production and you have a very realistic-looking dinosaur.

This is a great show, if you haven't been I suggest you go when it's in your hometown! The only thing wrong with it is that they don't cover the actors legs, which is what you see in this video. If they take the time to somehow figure that out, it would be that much better.

@masterface2 yeah I agree, my only beef with this show is how on the smaller dinosaurs, they don't take the time to cover up the legs, that small change would make it 100 times better.

digitigrade stilts commonly used in costume making by the furries, but he'd have to walk around bent over and his poor legs would ache. I think the suit looks amazing as it is, too!
What do you suggest? Smashing their knees so their legs are double-hinged?
If you can think of a way to hide their legs, I'm sure they'd be more than happy to hear from you.
@TheRebelEye The thing is you have to have the legs there in order for it to work. The structure of a T-Rex's knees are opposite to ours. So in order to make an accurate dinosaur, you're going to have to show the puppet master's legs.

@SwonanaMakaroni the head is a remote control. Latterly the person just stands up bends down and uses to the remote to control the head. It controls the eyes, tongue, roaring, snarling, panting, sniffing, mouth opening and closing. The tail is body movment
Think back to the first Alien movie. A black British man named Boladji Bodajo (SP?)
was about 7.5 ft. tall with super skinny legs. He was found in a British pub and hired to be the guy in the alien suit. Think what some of the acrobats from Circ De Soleil could do in that suit.
Wonder how much that suit weights??

This is pretty cool, though i'd say wearing a pair of pants to match the color of the dinosaur might have worked better. Other than that i applaud this, ^^.

You can get a materiel that tanscent the object it's courting abit so you can only see the object if you look at a specific ankle.. cant they make pants out of that?
