I really love this band, but he really messed up his voice. Saw a concert last year, sorry to see it's a shadow of what it used to be. And that's because of his voice. Music still awesome.
Too many bands release a couple of singles and you think "hey, they're pretty good". So, you buy their album and discover that the singles are the only decent songs on it. Not so with Covenant. Every one of their songs is a delight. There are, for me, only four other bands that have the honour. Put simply, I don't skip Covenant tracks. An absolutely fantastic band.
they would have been much bigger if not for Nirvana and Grunge. This is where "alternative music" was going until new-rock/grunge took over USA in early/mid 90s. To be fair, there is nothing American about this sound, and grunge is 100% American sound. But in the absence of quality rock in the late 80's and in to early 90s, this European alternative music, like Depeche Mode, started making inroads in to the land of bourbon.
