    Beautifully done! I love watching people's transition time lines ( and can't wait to do one myself) but you made it even better with your commentary. :)

    I cried. This is the best timeline I've ever watched. Fully narrated for those who are misinformed or who have questions. My timeline is exactly the same except I have a daughter. I waited until I was 38 to begin my transition. Sorry to hear that you've lost people during your transition. It does help weed out the ones who will stand by you. My wife gives yours a thumbs up. For better or for worse. You look great! And you have a big happy smile!
    You go girl!

    It still amazes how closely the lives and challenges of trans people resemble each other. So many different backgrounds and cultures and yet we can to relate to one another so easily.
    Keep it up girl you look fabulous!!

Not for my wife and in our conservative community. Too many people are too confused. Keep loving being you, and sharing your story. With love, Jazzie

    Sadly, 17 years ago, I lost a good friend, he was unable to accept himself has being Transgender, he committed suicide, and I miss him everyday. I think if he had been born later the help and understanding would have been there for him, it's a condition that wasn't as well known as it is now. So thank you for your video. Keep smiling. 😺

    Im brie, born in 1972, and just 3 days ago saw the endocrinolygist for the first time, blood tests yesterday and bone density scan tommorrow, so yes your story has outlined mine in more ways then one, and with this in mind, im going to forward it to friends n family, as it is me.
    PS : i was a blonde baby boy, with girl feelings locked away for 41yrs.
    But i also have Klienfelters Syndrome XXY genes, your story was wonderful to watch and listen.

    The point of view was so spot on and touching. You did not transition to a woman, you transformed your presentation to match your womanhood. You are refreshing, supportive and so real.
    Hugs and thanks,

    Brooke, Thank you for sharing your life experience with us. Being a 36 year old Transgender woman, I just started HRT over a month ago. I still have not come out to my family and majority of friends. I feel it's very difficult. The closet is deep! Inspirational videos like this only give me hope. If you don't have hope or something to live for, what do you have?

    • @brooket7904
      @brooket7904 Před 10 lety +1

      Coming out to people IS tough! You'll do it when you are ready and that's ok. What I found was that worrying over how people would react was actually much harder than dealing with their reactions. Some people had bad reactions, but knowing that and dealing with it was easier than all the worry. I hope you have the same or even better experience! You are making it girl and you get ALL my hugs!

    hi brook your video was amazing im 33 scared nervous and excited im about to start hormones as I can no longer lie to myself. • @brooket7904
      @brooket7904 Před 10 lety

      My advice is to allow them to have whatever initial reaction they have without taking it hard. My son, and other people's kids I know, reacted with fear at first. My son put it well when he said, 'I know what its like to have fun with you now, but i cant imagine what it would be like if you looked different.' The kids I've known get over that initial hump quickly, especially when they see you. I have no experience with older kids, but thats been mine with the 12 and younger crowd. YMMV and best of luck dear!

    I just have one question and I'm a little confused, how the heck did you grow your hair back so beautifully, you had some pretty advanced hair loss before transition, did maybe the blockers and estrogen grow it back, please let me know as I myself have hair loss :(
    Thank you for sharing girl! :)

    • @brooket7904
      @brooket7904 Před 10 lety +1

      Hey Ashley, thanks for the compliments! My hair has not grown back and from what I've read, some kinds of hair loss will revert and some won't. I actually struggled with hair when I was considering my transition because I felt like I wouldn't pass with the head of hair I had and didn't want to wear a hairpiece, but it's turned out just fine. There are very high quality hairpieces out there that look very natural, and I really don't even have to think about it anymore, it's just part of me. I started off with a cheap one to make all my mistakes with and when I transitioned I upgraded to a pretty pricey one.
      Besides, there are a lot of cis women out there that have to wear hairpieces for a variety of reasons, so I'm really no different, and you aren't either. ((Hugs!))
